The ultimate expression of the belief that the ends justify the means (which is the purest expression of evil). The truly terrifying thing here is that other expressions of perceived ideological superiority all eventually lead to this. It starts with riots and persecution, then terrorism, and finally, genocide.
Easily the worst crime you could commit. Killing millions of people, especially just because they are different than you, is terrible. It's a thought that should never even enter the head of a good citizen or even a bad citizen for that matter. Never.
Murder is an act of finality. There is no coming back from death. Doing it premeditated and with malice is the worst crime you can commit against an individual. Sure, other acts may cause lifelong trauma, but a person may still find something positive. The dead find no positives, ever.
I believe that murder is the worst crime because there are numerous ways to commit it: torture, rape, abuse, and many slow, painful methods. Nowadays, people don't take murder seriously because it occurs so frequently. I'm not saying that murder doesn't matter or that people don't care because it happens often. What I mean is that people have become desensitized to it, so they won't constantly live in fear of being killed. However, when it does happen, they will likely care.
Personally, I used to be terrified that someone would break into my house, and it's an unsettling feeling. The thought of people killing others just for amusement disgusts me, even if they are psychologically damaged. They are taking lives, but the murderer would not want to be killed themselves. How would they feel if they were the ones being killed?
You can provide reasons for most crimes. Murder? Maybe they were defending themselves. Burglary? They needed something to eat. I'm not saying these are excusable, but rape cannot ever be justified. Rapists are selfish and shouldn't be regarded as humans. The amount of fear, guilt, and trauma victims go through is actually insane. It sticks for life.
It's sickening how many people have been raped. People say "all men aren't like this," but it's so sad how many are. It's even normalized and blamed on the victim. "What were you wearing" or "You probably liked it." Stop blaming victims. This is the most traumatizing crime. Humans are like toys to rapists. And in no way, shape, or form should anyone go through this.
The belief that the ends justify the means is the true evil in the world. It's not mental illness. It is willfully sacrificing others for personal ideological goals.
Just a reminder that the United States does state-sponsored terrorism on a regular basis. It also doesn't need to happen on an organizational level.
One can be complicit in terrorism whether purposefully or unintentionally encouraging others to commit such acts.
This is worse than animal cruelty by far. Have you seen 9/11? That was terrorism, and it affected our country in a horrible way. I'm not saying animal cruelty isn't bad. It's just not as bad as terrorism.
Torture can have a scale on how much pain is put on the person. But I think that it is very bad, for the fact that some people would beg to be killed instead of tortured.
Torture has to be worse than murder. Having a person so down that they want to end it quickly but won't let them is far worse than murder. Much worse.

I would rather die in war than to be a slave my whole life. It's torture, complete cruelty. Work all day for no pay and get whipped. That's worse than death.

There is nothing - and I repeat, NOTHING - worse than animal cruelty. Animals are treated as slaves and food, and that's it. I once asked a child what they thought animals were, and they answered pets and food. Is that seriously what we have trained our kids to think?! That they are nothing more than pets and food? Humans are dying, and that is very sad, but has anyone noticed that animals have to deal with poachers, being eaten, being exploited, being separated from friends and family, and being caged up all their lives? Do most humans have to deal with that? Some, but not all. For all of you who think humans are more important than animals - you are only saying that because you're human. If you were a sheep, you'd care more about sheep. If you were a tiger, you'd care more about tigers. What you fail to see is that these animals also have FEELINGS!
Humans are not even near extinction, while some animals are the last of their kind. People make such a big fuss over someone being racist or sexist - which is also TERRIBLE - but they are speciest themselves. What you want to avoid is being one or more of the three, not just two of the three.
Animals have earned my respect far more than humans. Humans ridiculed me, called me stupid, hit me, and ordered me to do senseless things, while animals comforted me and gave me hope that the world isn't so bad. So why would you do anything bad to the things I love the most? I live to pay back all the wonderful things animals have done for me and would rather die than kill one.
If I had a choice between saving an animal or a human from death, I would choose the animal. (But if the human was nice, I'd try my best to save both.)
There are so many levels to why this is evil. Damaging the most innocent among us is just the start, but it also perpetuates a cycle of abuse. So many abusers were themselves abused. The cycle must stop.
You are the worst for doing that. They are little innocent kids. Just let them enjoy life. People sometimes abuse their kids for playing around and annoying them, but you did that at some point too. Come on now.

The worst thing about this crime is how often it is overlooked in today's society. We hear endless complaints about the slavery of the past, but we ignore the slavery of the present. What is wrong with a society that does that?
This should be above animal cruelty, at least. This is human cruelty, for crying out loud. I've seen a YouTube video that showed kids being trafficked, and it was worse than I could imagine.
The kids were being pulled out of a small window on a vehicle like rag dolls. At the same time, they were slow and stiff like a sloth, probably due to malnutrition and/or starvation, and they also seemed dehydrated. Also, they were dirty and dusty. Very cruel. Should be much higher on this list.
If torture is number 3, then this should be near that because this is a specific kind of torture.
I know a YouTube user whose dad did it to his half-sister for nine years for being a loser stepchild, and thankfully he is spending the rest of his life in prison.
The Lord Jesus said those who harm the little ones would be better off throwing themselves in a lake of fire than to deal with me.

As with child abuse, harming the most innocent and perpetuating a cycle of abuse is truly horrendous. Few things are worse.

This is just wrong on so many levels. They're kids, for Christ's sake! If you're an adult that wishes to get into the porn business, then you're an adult. You can make that choice. Kids, especially young kids, can't really make that informed choice, and I'm saying this as a minor. It's awful.
This is just utterly terrible. Children are just that - children. Far too young for this. If they choose to do it, that's still morally wrong, but most children are forced to, just like adults are.

This is about as disgusting as a crime against one person can get. It's malicious, and it just angers me so much. It can completely ruin the person's life.
