Top 10 Things That Were Good But Went Downhill

The Top Ten
1 Youtube YouTube is a global video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. The service was created by three former PayPal employees on February 14th, 2005. In November 2006, it was bought by Google for US$1.65 billion. YouTube is ranked among one of the most visited websites, placing in 2nd place - only topped by Google Search. As of 2022, the current CEO of YouTube is Susan Wojcicki.

The very first video on the website was "Me at the zoo", uploaded on April 23rd, 2005, uploaded by Jawed Karim. ...read more.

Yep... It used to be a fun place to upload creative, funny videos. Now, most of the attention goes to gamers and vloggers who do the same thing in every video, and it seems like you're not allowed to express your opinion in the comments without other people saying rude stuff when they don't agree. There's always non-stop drama on YouTube every single day now.

To the comment about copyrights. I pay every month to have internet access, so in a way I pay for copyrights. If YouTube don't want to pay for copyrights of artists and personal properties we are not to blame. We give them money, so they should use the money to pay copyrights for our access that we pay every month.

Used to be barely any video ads back than, but now there is an heavy ad bombardment and it keeps getting worse every single month.

Not to mention the "delete video for copyright" crisis. I want free speech and free Internet to return.

2 Ice Age

This whole franchise was decent, until Collision Course came along and it sucked!

3 SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 23 years, and is beginning its 13th season. The show revolves around a sea sponge called SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures under the sea. The show is considered to be one of the best Nickelodeon and cartoon shows of all time.

The graphics here are too polished to the point where something feels off, extracting the charm from older episodes.

Now I can't forget about Squidward toture. Sure, in the old episodes he may have done something to deserve his comeuppance such as when Spongebob stood up to Squidward for mooching off him. However in the modern Spongebob episodes, Squidward is treated like the punching bag of the town at every possible moment for the crime of... existing? How dare he? What a monster? His actions here seem completely justified, I want him to win and I want everyone else in Bikini Bottom to get karma. I could go on for longer but this is enough.

Contrary to my username, I heard the Post-Sequel episodes are better than the Post-Movie episodes.

I used to love SpongeBob as a kid. The new episodes and movies are horrible though.

I loved this show at one time, it's so sad what they did to it.

6 The Simpsons The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that originally started on April 19, 1987 as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. It got its own series on December 17, 1989 and is still running as of 2023, making it the longest running animated sitcom. It is about a man named Homer Simpson and his family (wife Marge and children Bart, Lisa and Maggie and pets, Snowball II and Santa's Little Helper) going through a long series of misadventures.
7 Home Alone
8 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter (Fat, Idiotic Dad) and Lois (Nagging Bitchy Wife), their children Meg (Socially Awkward Daughter) Chris (Fat, Idiotic ...read more.

Uh no! At least Spongebob started out pretty good! THIS was complete garbage from the very start! What's worse is that this show is what essentially got Futurama, a show that wipes the floor with this show, cancelled for the first time!

Seriously, how is SpongeBob above Family Guy? SpongeBob is still good, but Family Guy is horrible now!

At least the new episodes of family guy are not disturbing like modern spongebob.

9 The Fairly OddParents The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon.

The show was good in its first couple of seasons, it started going downhill later (like giving us too much Crocker and Timmy's Dad episodes). This show also happened to have a handful of made-for-T.V. movies, mostly released late in the series, which were pretty okay, and made up for some of the dull episodes (like Fairly OddPet).

It's so unfortunate this show ended on such a poor note, and that it fizzled out before we ever got a finale.

10 Music
The Contenders
11 Game of Thrones Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones.

Seasons 1-7 are one of the best shows ever made. Season 8 is abysmal.

12 Disney The Walt Disney Company, commonly known as Disney, is an American diversified multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California.

Wreck it Ralph 2 ruined Disney's reputation and started the tradition of every animated sequel getting a bad ending. That movie showed how greedy they are and they will only get worse overtime. If Wreck it Ralph 3 gets made, I will pirate the movie to see how bad it is, then I will hack into Disney's bank account and steal all of their money and use it to hire a lawyer to sue them into bankruptcy and I could start a charity to solve one of the worlds major issues.

What, no! It may not have the same vibe as it used to, and almost every single film they make now has made over a billion dollars at the box office (unlike previous Disney, which would either get close or one will every so often), but disney on their own make very good entertainment!

Too many bad movies, too many bad T.V. shows, plus some of the classics (Cinderella, Bambi, Lady and the Tramp, etc) were giving awful cheap sequels.

To see how far they've fallen, look no further than "Ralph Breaks the Internet", with all its self-referential "humor", dated references, and blatant Tumblr liberal feminist preaching

13 Nick at Nite

Once a good block now has got too much repeats of Warner Bros Television stuff like Full House (which Nick likes to take it off the air like now), Friends, and George Lopez. I wish this block could show old school Paramount Television shows again. Heck they should start airing repeats of Seinfeld and Golden Girls on the block.

Oh I swear to god, nick@nite is a joke now. They literally play 6 straight hours of Friends every night, and they also do off the clock airings now. They used to have 4-5 shows in prime time but not anymore, now it's just Friends which you can see on TBS all day anyway. I never thought I'd say it but TVLand is actually doing better than Nick@Nite now!

15 Z-Ro Joseph Wayne McVey IV, better known by his stage names Z-Ro and The Mo City Don, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas.

I come here because I expected something good. Not a bunch of whiny little babies arguing that Donald trump and justin bieber are better than terrorists, murder, or hell.

This is basically a Justin Bieber hate forum.

17 Thomas and Friends Thomas & Friends is a British children's television series. In the United Kingdom, it had its first broadcast on the ITV network in Great Britain in 1984.

Lets be blunt here, the newer series (series 8-11), especially the old CGI ones (series 12-16), were terrible. It seemed as if the format has been changed to match programmes like Chuggington. The early series (series 1-7) were all about adventures on the railway, the fact that the engines talked was almost a sideline, they couldn't control themselves or choose which track to change to and most of all there was no need for the preachy moral in each episode that is rapidly forgotten by the next one. Those were just good old-fashioned storytelling and the same can be said for series 17-present.

18 The Internet

Need I say more? The Internet used to be fun, where everyone was friends. But it people got messed up. Every person hates someone, too many ads, sex jokes everywhere, people who think cussing is funny, My Little Pony, threats, beer ads on kids websites, and every bad website is on here. I remember when the Internet was not all about singers, porn, money, or sacrificing everything to Cthulhu. The Internet just plain sucks now
I' m sad how twisted we've gotton

They were once the leading company in technology. I am most disappointed with the direction this company has gone, as the developers and other executives have become very greedy.

23 Family Matters Family Matters is a sitcom that ran from 1989 to 1998. Originally it focused on the Winslow family, but it would later become more about their nerdy next-door neighbor, Steve Urkel, who was originally only supposed to be a one-episode character.
