Top 10 Reasons Why Kung Fu Panda 4 Was a Disappointment

This is only my personal opinion on the newest Kung Fu Panda movie. If you don’t agree with it, that’s totally ok. I also want to clarify that this list does contain spoilers so if you haven’t seen it and plan on watching it, I recommend you to just skip this list.

The Top Ten
1 It is fast-paced.

Some parts feel skipped and it is hard for viewers to keep up with. It doesn't give them much time to process.

2 It is too predictable.

When the trailer was first released, It tells about how Po needs to find a replacement for his role as dragon warrior. Welp, he meets a new fox (Zhen) and yeah. You can see where this is going. She was going to be the new "dragon warrior." It also was obvious on one scene where Zhen broke into the temple to steal some artifacts, which was clearly a set up. It was even annoying seeing her play dead after being flung across the room with a smile on her face, yet Po still fell for it like an idiot. She even mentions the chameleon and tricks Po into thinking she would help him to find her after getting arrested. Only if he released her. In reality to lure him so that she could take the staff of wisdom and give it to her. Her character as a whole is too predictable. Even while watching the movie I already knew what was gonna happen. Which is why she makes the perfect example for this reasoning.

3 Unfunny humor.

Most of the jokes were childish.

4 The chameleon is a terrible villain.

She is the weakest villain in the whole series. As much as I don't really care for antagonists who don't even have their own skills so they take the abilities of others. (Well she is a shapeshifter, but she had no kung fu skills and stole the previous villains Kung Fu. It still counts.) You would think that now that she obtained everyone's Kung fu she would be unbeatable. Nope! Which didn't make sense because she beat the living crap out of Po *aka the dragon warrior who you'd probably think would win especially with more fighting experience.* but lost to some thief off the streets with ONLY a single hit. She is just so generic. She is your stereotypical power hungry "I want to take over the world" villain. Her motives don't make any sense. She is basically evil because she is too small to learn Kung Fu while there were other characters smaller than her who learned kung fu. Not to mention she has no backstory and not even a single connection with anything. She is a waste of a character.

5 Po's dads were a waste of screen time.

They had no purpose other than just being comedic references and a bit of nuisances.

6 No Furious Five.
7 The Returning Villains didn't even rebel against Po.
8 Kai and Shen had no dialogue.
9 It's aimed more towards younger audiences.

It feels a little more kiddish than the previous movies but this isn't really important.

10 Po gives Zhen the role of the dragon warrior after everything she did to him.

I bet if Po wasn't being so clueless and left her imprisoned and the Furious five made a comeback., the chameleon would've been done in a single blow and if he remained dragon warrior, it would've been "The End." (I don't see a valid reason why Po should've given up his position in the first place.)

The Contenders
11 They ruined Tai Lungs and the other villains character.

Tai Lung accepting Po as the dragon warrior and the others bowing to him, willingly accepting to enter the spiritual realm felt out of character. (Yk what would've been better? If they all ganged up on Po just to sprinkle some more action.)
