The Contenders: Page 14
One of the best singers in the history of rock. He sang with warmth and depth. His voice was never too sweet or too raspy.
Lou Gramm Absolutely should be in top 20.
Lou Gramm was absolutely top 10!
Lou Gramm is a much better rock singer than many listed in top 20. He blows away Jon Bon Jovi, Metallica dude, and Curt Cobaine to name a few.V 1 Comment
Underrated Singer in an underrated band. His vocals are superb.
His words are so clear, that you understand every one of them! I can sing along to every one of his songs!
Most underrated rock vocalist of all time. Great blues, rock, metal singer. Just started getting into Cinderella. Best range in the industry.
Great lead singer! Top 7 rock vocalist behind Steve Marriott, Robert Plant, Axl Rose Brian Johnson til Emmett and Bon Scott.
Criminally underrated, just listen to Nobody's Fool
How could you miss this superb voice.
Well his voice is sexy as hell, I'm not just saying this because he's hot, but he moved me to tears the first time I heard "Learning to fly" I was hooked, he has a very...different voice, but he surley does his songs justice. 😉
Rik Emmett's voice soars above most rock vocalists. His vocals on Magic Power were second to none!
Why is he not on the list?! Listen to his band Story of the Year, and try telling me he doesn't belong on the list. His voice can go so soft and mold perfectly to piano ballads, can get raspy and intense for heavy songs, has a screamo range like no other, and you can hear the emotion in everything he's ever sung even when he was in his Big Blue Monkeu stage. He can also play god knows how many instruments and is extrely charismatic on stage. He can jump around for hours on stage and still sound as amazing as he did on the first song. This man deserves to be at least in the top 100. Come on.
His voice is godly. He can beat nearly everyone on this list. He sung back up for years in SOTY and now also sings lead in Greek Fite. He hits high notes like no other and boy he can belt! He can mellow out too and destroys ballads with ease. Just listen to saddest view by Greek Fire or dreaming in déjà vu. He should be way up on this list.
Hands down THE best vocalist I've heard. He can sing any style from Punk to Hip Hop to Metal to Soft rock to Dubstep to Club/Dance music. And massive vocal range ranging from his Falsetto in dead bite and kill everyone to F5 in levitate to Bb2 in Street Dreams. He can also imitate many singers better than they can sing. For example listen to his deuce impression live in any swan song songs, He sounds like deuce but better. He can also sound like Chester Bennington and even sound similar styles to Fall out boy and Imagine Dragons
Why Isn't This Guy Near The Top Of The List? He can't Do It All: Soft Rock, Hard Rock, And Even Metal
He easily deserves to AT LEAST be listed in the "contenders".
Great great vocalist and screamer!
Rolling Stone ranked Roy Orbison 13 and Axl Rose 64. Roy just had a voice that surpassed all. Screaming into a microphone and mixing electronically does not give one a great voice!
Amazing voice no where near where he's rated.
