Morgoth (Melkor)
Morgoth Bauglir is a fictional antagonist from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. Introduced as Melkor, he was the first and most powerful of the Valar, corrupted and renamed Morgoth in The Silmarillion.
Sauron at his peak of power, even with the One Ring, was not remotely close to Melkor in power. Not close at all.
Sauron over time became more powerful than Morgoth, his creation became his worst enemy.
He is the source of all evil and chaos in Middle Earth.

I think Sauron was more ruthless and evil than Morgoth because he was gonna do anything to achieve his goal.

Witch King of Angmar (Lord of the Nazgul)
He looks pretty terrifying and powerful. He even broke Gandalfs staff.by the way I have a question about how did Gandalf get his new staff when his staff was burned by Sauron in the hobbit?
He cannot die. Eowyn did not kill him, just temporarily ended him.
-
Durin's Bane (A Balrog)
Gandalf should have made some weird water spell on the balrog and if he did this he wouldn't have died.
-
Smaug (A Fire-Drake of Middle Earth)
Smaug is a fictional character and the primary antagonist in J. R. R. Tolkien's 1937 novel The Hobbit. He is a fearsome dragon who hoards the treasure of the Lonely Mountain. In Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film trilogy, Smaug was portrayed via motion capture and voice by Benedict Cumberbatch.
He wiped out a dwarf army in 30 minutes.
-
Glaurung (Father of the Dragons)
-
The Nazgul (Ringwraith Servants of Sauron)
I want to see them unmasked once just once without their armor.
-
Azog (Orc-Chieftain from Moria)
Azog is a character in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He was an Orc chieftain who lived in Moria until his death in T.A. 2799.
He is mentioned in The Hobbit, where Gandalf tells Thorin Oakenshield, "Your grandfather Thrór was killed, you remember, in the mines of Moria by Azog the Goblin."
I'm speechless. I'm surprised how Thorin even lasted a few minutes after killing him.
