To Kill a Mockingbird is not even n your top 100? So much for this list having any credibility whatsoever.
Why is this on a list for most inspirational moviesV 2 Comments
Leaves you with a lifted soul and simple rialisation of simple wisdom
Best movie ever
I saw this movie in college. It changed how I look at movies. Should have been rated much higher.
This movie shows what the earth and humanity will become if we don't recycle and take care of ourselves (i mean, the humans in this movie are already really fat! ).V 1 Comment
I guess I was wrong in thinking that most people thought of this as a great book, since it's currently ranked number 407 on the Top Tens best books survey. The best book oh the twentieth century, according to the National Library Association. I've read the new sequel that is out, Go Set a Watchman. Unfortunately it's not as good, but that shouldn't diminish the brilliance of To Kill a Mockingbird. It is given credit for its brilliance by every website except this one.
Most people think of it as a great book by Harper Lee, which it certainly is, but the movie is very good too, including great performances by Gregory Peck and Brock Peters. With the race issues our country is still having, I think that unfortunately it is also still very current.
This one should fly up the charts. As an inspirational movie, it is unquestionably in the same echelon as Gump, Shawshank, and It's a Wonderful Life. That it isn't on here already blows my mind.
Timeless movie, from opening credits to ending. Life changing. This is a top 10.V 2 Comments

I don't know who posted this but thank you so much. I am a relative of Roger's and Barry Pepper did an amazing job portraying Roger, right down to the way he held the bat. This movie was the brainchild of Billy Crystal, who produced a brilliant piece of work. I was very young in 1961 but I remember the pure anguish that the Yankee fans, press, and even Major League Baseball itself put Roger through. Reggie Jackson once said, "He broke Babe Ruth's record--in New York? He ought to be in the Hall of Fame just for that! " And it is truly a shame that--to this day--Roger is not in the baseball Hall of Fame.
Not many know about the player who broke the babes homerun record but this movie tells the tale. This movie is about the great season when Rogger Maris hits 61 homers in the 1961 season to beat the babes record. Roger had to battle through the fans who didnt want Roger to beat the record they wanted there hero and in there eyes the real yankee Micky Mantle to beat the record. Roger faced boos death threats and being the underdog to get his homerun title when he hit 61 home runs. - johnspera
Just to make it clear, Mickey Mantle was not among those rooting against Roger. They were great friends, as the movie shows. Several former Yankee teammates were present at Roger's funeral in 1985. No one cried harder than Mickey.
Speechless that this isn't a famous series!
