Top Ten Best Arnold Schwarzenegger Movies
While the first Terminator was a great movie, Terminator 2 improved on it in every way. It had CGI that was ahead of its time, great acting from Schwarzenegger, Edward Furlong (John Connor), Linda Hamilton, and Robert Patrick (T-1000).
The plot, soundtrack (you can't go wrong with Guns N' Roses), and some of the most memorable quotes in movie history (I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle. Come with me if you want to live. And the obligatory Hasta la vista, baby!) were all fantastic. It also had great action sequences.
The Terminator was good. Terminator 2 was really good. Terminator 3 was a bit disappointing. The action was good and the female villain (T-X) was also good, but I think the humor was a bit all over the place.
This is unquestionably one of the most entertaining, spectacular, and intense Arnold movies. It is better than Terminator 2 because it has a better pace, is less talky, and is more watchable because of that.
Arnold also brings a human sensibility to his character. It is his most human and most credible character. And we must not forget the wonderful and spectacular direction of John McTiernan.
Arnold leading a group of badass soldiers into the jungle to take on all comers, including an alien predator, has gotta be the best pure all-out machismo action flick! Arnold and his team could take out any other action team from the movies, including the Expendables guys led by Stallone!
Not many people prefer this over Terminator 2, but I do. Amazing atmosphere and action, and of course amazing acting by Arnold, Michael Biehn, and Linda Hamilton.
I love the movie, but man, is the acting terrible! Also, it has one of the biggest movie mistakes of all time during the Porsche accident scene.
He killed more villains here like in an arcade video game.
Arnold in space, three boobs, mutants, space soldiers, rebels, and memory manipulation. These are the best things from every other science fiction movie ever! Not to mention the sheer awesomeness of the effects for the time and Paul V. directing. Awesome sound effects and story too - it keeps you thinking.
Great movie that will mess with your head and get you thinking. Not all mindless action.
Classic Arnold movie. Fun movie and great flow. Could watch it over and over.
"Have you ever killed anyone?"
"Yeah, but they were all bad."
Great movie!
Very hard to pick, but this is my favorite. It was hard to pick against Commando.
A great action flick with loads of explosions and a few good quotes from the man himself.
I saw an interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger on Facebook where he said the movie he loved the most in his career was Kindergarten Cop. I recently bought it on DVD, watched it, and I agree this is his crowning achievement in movies.
Those kids and the gorgeous Penelope Ann Miller are exceptional. Movie magic at its best. Please add this to your collection.
This movie is beautiful. Terribly underrated because it is not very well known. The acting is great, better than True Lies (but TL is still a great movie). It is more realistic than Total Recall and has a better final battle than True Lies and Terminator combined.
A well-rooted, creative, believable, yet raw portrayal of Robert E. Howard's hardest-hitting creations that still echo in all media of many genres. This movie has so much depth without using long discussions. Instead, it is portrayed and leaves you wondering.
A classic among classics. One of the few movies that fully uses Arnold's physical abilities without going overboard.
Just voted for it to be higher. Sure, Terminator, T2, Predator, and Total Recall are fine in the top five. Conan should at least be in the top ten.
This movie should be on the top ten list. I mean, it's got everything you want in an action movie. It's got violence, suspense, and much, much more. It's just a non-stop roller coaster ride of awesomeness.
I am a born-again Christian, and one of my favorite movie scenes of all time is when Jericho (Arnold's character) is tempted by the devil in his apartment, which climaxes in the devil being thrown out the window.
An ex-cop who runs an elite security group must stop Satan in search of a new bride.
The Newcomers
Not just Arnold Schwarzenegger's best film, but possibly the best film ever made.
Really underrated Arnold movie. Pretty fun and clever.
Here Arnold really shows that he can act. Also, a very original movie.
How the hell is it at number 13? It is the best Arnold film to date and the best of the Terminator series.
My favorite Terminator movie and action movie.
Great role. He really does well.
This one should be a lot higher. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, by any actor!
The way he acted made the movie more fantastic. All the action in the movie is awesome.
A great and entertaining movie. Stylish and filled with quality action. Arnold is terrific as always, and the supporting cast fits perfectly. Nice cinematography and good soundtrack also. A favorite!
He was recognized as a bodybuilder in this documentary and made his first appearance on film.
He made one of the greatest appearances as a special guest in any film ever!
