Best Shrek Characters

Shrek is a Dreamworks media franchise that focuses on Shrek, an outcast ogre who reluctantly rescues a princess, setting off many subsequent adventures in a fairy tale world.
The Top Ten
Donkey

I like Donkey, but he can be pretty annoying sometimes. However, he's one of my favorite characters. He's also a great husband to Dragon and a great father to all of his Dronkeys.

I love Donkey. He is very funny and chatty. Plus, he is very humorous. He is such a great sidekick with a nice groove. Overall, he is my favorite.

But you gotta have friends. That was hilarious how he said that.

Shrek Shrek is a fictional ogre and titular character of the Shrek franchise. He debuted in the 2001 animated movie of the same name. He is voiced by Mike Myers.

Shrek is the main and central character. Most people with a heart can relate to how he feels, making his story extremely entertaining and irresistible.

Shrek is a legend. He truly is what makes the movies give you a heartwarming, feel-good vibe. I loved these movies as a young kid and still love them now.

Shrek might be the greatest creature ever created in a human mind. He's an absolute inspiration for all of us.

Puss in Boots

Even though I don't count the movies after the first as canon, come on. Shrek is a depressed ogre who finds happiness with true love in the tower with Princess Fiona, and at the end, they go off into the sun happily ever after.

Puss in Boots is a cute character and a new friend in the second movie.

He's my favorite character in the Shrek franchise. I love cats. Plus, he talks, he fights, he wears a hat and boots, he's charming and caring, and he does those adorable kitten eyes that not even the bad guys can resist. What's not to love about him?

Princess Fiona

She's not just a damsel in distress. Yes, she did get captured and expected a prince to come, but that's only because her parents wanted to protect her. She didn't have a choice, and she wanted to break the curse by finding her true love.

She's an awesome fighter and can defend herself really well, especially when she was pregnant in the third movie. She's awesome!

Another character who, in the original "children's" picture book of Shrek in 1990, looks like a monster - not an ogre, but this dark thing you can't tell what it is. I suppose Shrek's parents in the picture book are creepy too. You'd think both were male.

The Gingerbread Man

His scene with Farquaad still makes me laugh. The whole "Do you know the Muffin Man?" scene and the line "NOT my gumdrop buttons!" are too funny!

It's not that I don't like Donkey, but why doesn't everyone say Gingy is the best character? He's the best by far. He's so funny and so brave.

Definitely the funniest character in Shrek! He still makes me laugh!

Dragon

I like her. She made a plot twist in the first movie that I didn't expect. I didn't expect her to become Donkey's wife!

She's a nice dragon. She's one of the good characters.

Lord Farquaad Lord Farquaad is the main antagonist of the 2001 animated feature film, Shrek, as well as Shrek 4D. He is voiced by John Lithgow.

Men of Farquaad's stature are in *short* supply. Though, there are people who think *little* of him. He's a size *short* in terms of clothes. I've got pages of these things. I could go on.

He's my god emperor. He's the greatest character in history.

Pinocchio

Just see the hilarious moments in 2 and 3 and you'll know why he's so funny.

The Fairy Godmother

The Fairy Godmother wasn't scared of anybody, had a fabulous manicure, singing ability, and was a badass businesswoman.

The Fairy Godmother is a totally overrated clown who speaks without knowing the facts.

I thought I told you ogres don't live happily ever AFTER!

Magic Mirror

The Newcomers

? Felicia
? Mabel
The Contenders
Queen Lillian

Lillian is one of the nicest characters.

Rumpelstiltskin
King Harold
Prince Charming

Prince Charming lost much of his money on that run. That's why he carries his own bags now.

Big Bad Wolf

Not that it matters, but does anyone notice that during the battle against the Fairy Godmother, he blows a huge gust of wind at her? That role belongs to the wolf from The Three Little Pigs, while this wolf is clearly the one from Little Red Riding Hood. Is he two wolves combined into one?

You can't beat the gender-confused wolf. His monotonous voice is dry and funny.

I am him in my school production.

Muffin Man
Thelonious
Three Little Pigs
Snow White

She was in Shrek 2 gold... only good part!

She was so funny in Shrek the Third.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood was one of the hottest characters in the Shrek franchise. His charisma and outgoingness really tingles my Pringle's. But he was destroyed by Fiona in that one scene in Shrek 1.

Three Blind Mice
Cinderella
Doris
Sleeping Beauty
The Pied Piper
