Top 10 Best Skrillex Songs
Skrillex, born Sonny Moore, didn't just emerge from a musical void. Before becoming the face of dubstep (and its many offshoots), he was the frontman for post-hardcore band From First to Last. This background might surprise those who only know his electronic work, but it explains his knack for blending aggression and melody. In the late 2000s, he embarked on a solo career, experimenting with electronic sounds. It didn't take long for him to gain attention, thanks in part to free downloads of early EPs like My Name is Skrillex. Then came Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites in 2010. This EP became a cultural phenomenon, with its title track becoming an anthem for a new generation of electronic music fans. It was a game-changer, and Skrillex's career exploded.
Over the next decade, Skrillex continued to evolve his sound, collaborating with artists across genres. He's worked with everyone from Justin Bieber to Korn, showcasing his versatility and willingness to push boundaries. But through it all, there's always been a thread of that signature Skrillex sound - a mix of heavy bass, intricate sound design, and an energy that's impossible to ignore.
This song is absolutely breathtaking! I literally got chills when I heard it for the first time. The melody is indescribably perfect, and the bass drop is amazing. Flawless song!
This song is amazing. It made me love dubstep music. Simply the best I've ever heard.
I totally want to hear more music like this one. It is the BEAST! It made me love SKRILLEX.
This song has an amazing mix of synths, includes a perfect drop, and is a really great Skrillex song. I think a lot of people are getting kind of sick of it since it's been around for a while, which I understand. The first time I heard it, I loved it, but now, not as much.
It's still a great song, though, and I hope Skrillex keeps making songs of this high quality!
This song is painfully catchy. It's great for dancing or just listening to. I will say again, this song is ridiculously catchy.
This is the best. No Skrillex song can compete with this. This song is amazingly put together, and it made me get hooked on dubstep. I now listen to Skrillex all the time because of this one song.
There is no song that can top this, and I hope Skrillex comes out with something even better if that is even possible.
I cannot believe this is not 1st. I mean, I still like Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, but this is just WAY up there.
It's the best song made by Skrillex!
The song begins with a serene tone. As the anticipation builds, the tension rises, and just when you think the cravings for those wicked Skrillex beats may go unsatisfied, an explosive, shrill voice signals the release of the sickest beats you've ever heard. You may even find yourself reaching for your phone, ready to dial for help.
This was the first Skrillex song I ever heard. It made me fall in love with his style. This song is massively underrated and deserved way more praise than it got. It starts slowly, but then tension builds up, and it lets loose.
In my opinion, it is the greatest Skrillex song. I frequently said to myself, "Okay, I'm going to listen to this song once, then listen to other Skrill songs." I often end up listening to this song about nine or ten times in a row.
HOW IS THIS NOT #1? This is the best song by Skrillex by a long shot. I'm not saying Scary Monsters is a bad song, but Kill Everybody is a million times better. Kill Everybody just has that dance factor to it. It just makes you want to get up and move around.
Scary Monsters is more of just a song you listen to. This is like a pump-up song and a song you hear at the club combined in one!
BEST SONG EVER! Why isn't this number one? This is easily one of the very best songs I've ever heard. Skrillex has done a very fine job perfecting this song, as tons of people love it.
I simply cannot believe how breathtaking and stunning this song is! The beat is very catchy, and the rhythm matches the beat perfectly! This song is the best!
God really did something when he put this sound into Sonny's head. There are so many reasons that this tops every single sound in the universe. First of all, there are three unique drops in this song, my favorite being the second. It isn't too dirty yet sounds better than every song I've ever heard.
Lastly, the complexity and originality were key to making this song my top pick.
Sincerely, Br3tt.
Awesome. I believe that this is Skrillex's best song. I'm surprised this song isn't higher rated. It's awesome! It bumps, too!
This is, in my opinion, the best Skrillex song ever! The drums kick perfectly into my ears with this music. It builds up really nicely from the beginning to the drop with a cool starting melody with the guitar chords. The drop itself is devastating and also very catchy.
What I also like in this piece is the melody after the first drop, nice sound effects. Sirah just totally finishes as an explosion with a good ending following it. All these factors make me like this song the most. I recommend listening to it with high-quality headphones, which make me drown in this bomb!
I LOVE this song! It should be first!
If you have massive speakers in your house, then you should put this song on full blast and watch the speakers. You will be blown away. (literally)
Should I say something if this song almost saves my life every day? I remember I was out of touch with this song for a whole year, and it was 2020, the worst year ever. This song technically replaces my friends.
Fantastic song, easily some of the best material Skrillex has produced. Definitely deserves the top spot.
F-F-F-Fight!
Fantastic song, my favorite of the Skrillex range. A must-buy for everyone! The original of this is not that good, although this remix is incredible. Thank you, Skrillex, for making this song.
In my opinion, this song made dubstep the top genre.
This song got me laid because it's romantic and then all of a sudden it's crazy. It set the perfect mood, laugh out loud. First Dubstep song I listened to and I listen to it every time I fall in love!
I love it! Can't get it out of my head. Fantastic, best from Skrillex. Period.
Probably it has got only 3% of the votes because it has been released recently. In my honest opinion, this is the best song they have made so far. The contribution of Damian Marley is indeed commendable. The way the bass develops in the background while he raps is just awesome.
I can bet that nobody will criticize this song after hearing it on a nice pair of headphones. This song surely deserves to be the #1.
I denied dubstep for the longest time. Then I heard this on the pot-burning mission in Far Cry 3, and after dying a thousand times and this song replaying a thousand times, I became hooked. Which led me to listen to all kinds of dubstep.
My favorite Skrillex song is Cinema, but seeing as how this was my gateway into this unique genre, I have to give my vote to it.
Umm, it definitely should be number one. Whoever made this list is a mainstream EDM music fan and not a true fan. Skrillex likes this song so much that he has opened up almost every concert I have been to with this song.
This song gives me the chills and always will. I think this song deserves a lot more respect.
How this isn't in the top five, I'll never know. This song is so amazing! The Doors just make the song even more badass. The two generations collaborating together make it just so epic. Definitely one of Skrillex's best and on my personal top three!
Seriously? Not even 10th place? This song has some pretty extreme beats and definitely deserves at least 10th place. I listened to Reptile's Theme and thought, "It's good, but it really doesn't deserve 7th place. 13th place is more like it."
Wolfgang Gartner adds that catchy house type of sound to it. It's the best song on the Bangarang album for sure. But those should be up higher. It's better than Kyoto by a long shot. You've got to hear this. It's very addictive.
How isn't this top 3? This song is absolutely amazing! And by the word amazing, I really do mean it!
This song is the very essence of nostalgia. Every single bit of it reminds me of 8th grade, which personally was the greatest year for me and my friends. After having left that middle school, I moved and didn't see most of them ever again, so this song brings me so much comfort every time I think about the crazy shenanigans we would do, and all the fun we had.
To put it ever so lightly, it's a great song.
It's an amazing song. I don't know why it's so low on the list. It is so relaxing and always reminds you of the good times you had with your friends. The bass is great and Ellie Goulding's voice is a treat to listen to.
'Scatta' should absolutely be in the top five. The bass is too heavy, and it's too great. My ovaries just can't handle it. Great song to work out to as well. Definitely top-notch work.
The heavy bass drop just wins it. It may not be the catchiest, but it's just brilliant.
Scatta should be at least in the top ten. The bass growls and the lyrics are insane.
This is number six on my list. I am completely amazed this isn't in his top ten. It has great lyrics and an amazing drop that will give you goosebumps.
I don't understand how it is possible for this song not to be in the top 10. Come on, people, open your ears and listen!
I get chills every time I hear it. It's the only song I've listened to for the last couple of days. It's truly amazing!
Why is Weekends only number twenty? I love this song. All of my dubstep buddies love this song to hell, too. This seriously deserves better than twenty. This song is so awesome that it will knock your socks off.
What?! Weekends is my favorite by Skrillex! Listen to it! It's ADHD dubstep goodness at its best. It's very similar to Bangarang. If you like Bangarang, you will like Weekends.
Oh Jesus, was this song amazing! If you liked Bangarang, you will love this Skrillex song too.
Come on, guys! Right In is one of the best dubstep songs ever. The bass is awesome, so the song is amazing!
This definitely belongs in at least the top twenty. It has such a great beat to it, and the drop is perfect.
I feel like I'm in a cyberpunk city as a high-tech samurai when I hear this ever-so-great song!
This was the song that hooked me onto Skrillex and made me think they're the best dubsteppers ever! Absolutely enjoy it, and even though it's number ten, doesn't mean you won't love it. It just means others have their own opinions!
I mean, it's my favorite!
Because it has that sick beat throughout the whole song and it's just awesome in general... I think this song should be in the top 5, or maybe top 3.
Love it. It's fast and upbeat. It's just awesome. I love Skrillex, and this is the first song I ever heard by him. Listen to it. Some of the stuff it says in this song is actually kind of funny.
Love you, Sonny.
I just love Skrillex. It reminds me of my friend and I when we had our party.
I honestly think this is the best. I mean, 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites' is the bomb, in a good way. But this song... I just can't believe it's not number one. I'm confused because this song is flipping unbelievably amazing...
This is the first song that made me completely fall in love with Skrillex! After that, I was definitely hooked. 'In for the Kill' is a song you should definitely listen to!
'In for the Kill' is the best Skrillex song ever. If I can't listen to it, I'm a total pain to be around. I also hear this song when I practice karate. It gets me totally pumped!
This is a good song! The start was nice, and it just gets better and better. You won't regret buying this song.
Trust me, you're going to love it!
Seriously, people?! 22? Look how many views it has on YouTube! It should at least be in the top ten! In my opinion, it's the best Skrillex song EVER!
Great bass drop, awesome beats. Why is this only number 13? This was and still is my favorite Skrillex song.
I don't know how this isn't in the top 3. It might not be dubstep, but it is just so beautiful! I love the emotion behind it, and if you really listen to the lyrics carefully, you will find that it's actually a song dedicated to his mother (he was adopted).
A really underestimated Skrillex song, absolutely wonderful.
I truly hate the fact that this isn't the number 1 song. This is one of the most emotional electronic songs in a really long time. I just really hate the hate. Listen to this and tell me Skrillex is bad, and honestly, I won't believe you.
How is it not even in the top ten? It's by far the best song from Recess, and it's my second favorite Skrillex song after Bangarang. It has a great drop, followed by a long buildup to the best drop ever, and then it repeats the first drop again.
I can't believe it's only number 29! And by the way, it's called Try It Out, not I'mma Try It Out.
Okay, this is really poor, guys. Surely, with millions of people questioning this song on Black Ops 2, it should be around the 15-20 section at least. Plaza, guys, think!
Have you ever gone into Plaza, into the club, and thought about what the best song is? Well, it's right here!
Sick song. Skrillex has done it again. I don't know where he gets all these song ideas from, but he manages to keep on making these amazing songs.
Vote for this song.
True dubstep! This song reflects one of the best bass drops on our planet! Listening to this sick song knocks you dead.
That Skrillex is one amazing guy!
The best bass drop ever. It's not very well known, but I still can't believe that it's not in the top ten!
Honestly, you won't regret listening to this one.
With the Ragga Twins toasting over a glass-shattering intergalactic soundscape, it makes it clear we're in for a wild and strange ride. Yes, we have liftoff.
