Best Songs From Marilyn Manson's Holy Wood
The atmosphere in this one is incredible. Definitely the best track from Holy Wood, in my opinion.
This is the most terrifying yet enthralling track on the album. It delivers an amazing sense of foreboding, rarely seen in a composition, and masterfully heightens and drops the tension with an emphasis on melody.
Its greatness is comparable to Pink Floyd's "Empty Spaces," especially in how both tracks conclude with a climactic transition into the next track. "Empty Spaces" leads into "Young Lust," while "A Place in the Dirt" flows seamlessly into "The Nobodies." The dark tone bleeding into a more frantic feel makes "A Place in the Dirt" one of the album's most compelling and melodic tracks, right alongside "The Nobodies." These two are my top picks over the rest.
"Target Audience (Narcissus Narcosis)" is one of the most beautiful and thought-provoking songs ever written. Personally, I think it should at least be number 2 on this list.
This song is so clever in its lyrical content, and it should be number 1!
Amazing background guitar running throughout the song with a strongly memorable riff! It's one of the heavier tracks on the album, yet it maintains a powerful guitar presence from start to finish. Each primary vocal part is strengthened by the hard-hitting tune that supports its delivery.
This song should be in the top 10. The lyrics and the music are so perfect.
The Newcomers
This song should be ranked higher.
