Top 10 Best Songs From Nirvana's In Utero
Heart-Shaped Box is, without a doubt, the best song there ever is. Not only is In Utero the best Nirvana album, but it may also be one of the best albums ever. Heart-Shaped Box has excellent lyrics while still being a heavy song.
The only reason I didn't choose All Apologies is because the MTV version is the best, and this is In Utero. Another great song is Serve the Servants.
This song is so deep, dark, and beautiful. Probably my favorite Nirvana song. But it's so hard to pick the best from In Utero because the entire album is so good.
My favorite Nirvana song to date! Belongs ten times higher on the list!
All in all is all we are.
Best song by Nirvana.
What a killer opening. This brought down the house!
I don't know, but this song has something that attracts me. Pretty nice song and the best Nirvana album, no doubt.
Sad and enchanting song with an awesome riff.
One of the best grunge punk songs ever made.
Best Nirvana song ever. Pure beauty.
What is what with me? and What is wrong with me? are like a parasite to your brain if you listen to it more than three times.
Hey, that's pretty good.
You can hear his pain in his voice, and this was the first song the band wrote together. Kurt wrote everything before this.
The screams.
An underrated masterpiece.
Better than Scentless Apprentice.
LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE SUICIDE.
The Newcomers
Why is this down here? :( It's my 6th favorite on the album, and it keeps some punk style that I really like. Maybe people don't like this one, Very Ape, and Milk It because they're heavier? What's going on with the world?
Maybe people don't like this one because of the screams, but it's the heaviest (along with two other amazing songs: Milk It and Very Ape). It's one of the coolest songs I've ever heard.
My list:
1. Heart-Shaped Box
2. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle
3. Rape Me
4. All Apologies
5. Dumb
6. Tourette's
7. Milk It
8. Very Ape
9. Pennyroyal Tea
10. Serve the Servants
11. Scentless Apprentice
12. Radio Friendly Unit Shifter
(All of these songs are amazing, and this is the best Nirvana album without a doubt.)
Very Ape and Tourette's are two of the best songs on this album, and they're down here? That's a travesty. Kurt blasts out the lyrics, Dave pounds the drums, and Krist slams the bass. Those two minutes are the best musical, lyrical, and otherwise, minutes I've ever heard.
Heart-Shaped Box is great, but this list is messed up. My four best songs on In Utero, in my opinion, are tracks 4, 10, 11, and 12. VERY APE IS A MASTERPIECE.
In my honest opinion, Kurt's pessimistic view of himself, considering himself primitive and illiterate, makes this a reflective song wrapped in some awesome guitar riffs and bass sections.
Hey, that song title *cough* explicitly refers to *cough* me *cough*. COUGH.
Definition of grunge.
