Reasons to Like Tool's Lateralus Album
The Top Ten
1 The Fibonacci Sequence and the overall epicness of the title track
2 The drumming on "Ticks and Leeches"
3 The segue from "Parabol" to "Parabola"
4 The lyrical messages in "Parabola"
5 The award-winning "Schism"
6 "Disposition", "Reflection", and "Triad" all fit together when played in order.
7 The chilling feeling of the interlude on "Ticks and Leeches"
When the drumming stops, the song feels quite quiet, but it picks up much later.
8 The drumming on "The Grudge"
Second best drumming on the album.
9 The many different time signatures in each song.
I thought I was the only one to notice this. But I guess that's a bit ridiculous. Anyway the song and album is an undisputed masterpiece with some of the best lyrics ever.
Lateralus has several different time signatures, 9/8, 8/8, 7/8. 987 is a number in the Fibonacci sequence.
10 The creepy "Faaip de Oiad"
