Some musicians were physically attacked by fans - many of these crazy fans had psychiatric issues.

Some of these musicians even died (R.I.P.; I put them on top) or suffered serious injuries.

1 John Lennon John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE (9 October 1940 - 8 December 1980) was an English singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a co-founder of the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. He was assassinated by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980 at age 40. Lennon was characterised by the rebellious nature and acerbic wit in his music, writing and drawings, on film, and in interviews. His songwriting partnership with Paul McCartney remains the most successful in history.
2 Dimebag Darrell Darrell Lance Abbott, also known as Diamond Darrell and Dimebag Darrell, was an American guitarist and songwriter best known as a founding member of two bands, Pantera and Damageplan, alongside his brother, Vinnie Paul. Abbott died in 2004 after he was shot by a mentally unstable fan.
3 George Harrison George Harrison (1943 - 2001) was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music and film producer who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles.

Repeatedly stabbed by an intruding fan in his own home, it's a miracle he did not die.

4 Frank Zappa Frank Vincent Zappa was an American musician, songwriter, composer, record producer, actor and filmmaker.

A fan rushed onto the stage and pushed Zappa into the concrete orchestra pit. Zappa sustained a crushed larynx, fractures, head trauma, and injuries covering his entire body. The fall nearly killed him. This happened in London, UK.
There were other incidents in a short period of time and this led Zappa to fear that he would be murdered.

He got bitten on the butt by a "classic Lou Reed fan" in the middle of a song during a concert in N.Y., 1973.

7 Robbie Williams Robert Peter Williams is an English singer, songwriter and actor. He was a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995 and again from 2009 to 2012. He has also had commercial success as a solo artist.

He was attacked and thrown off stage during a concert in Germany, 2001. His attacker was reportedly suffering from psychiatric problems.

9 Slash Saul Hudson, known professionally as Slash, is a British-American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

In 2010 he was attacked on stage in Italy and the attacker tackled Slash down to his stage monitor. Security solved the problem.

10 50 Cent Curtis James Jackson III, better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is an American rapper, actor, entrepreneur, investor, record, film, and television producer.

He was attacked on stage while performing in Brazil, 2010. The attacker grabbed him but security quickly diffused the situation.

12 Snoop Dogg Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr., (born October 20, 1971) known professionally as Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper, actor, record producer, and television personality from Long Beach, California.

A fan rushed Snoop Dogg while he was performing a concert in 2006. Security took care of the situation.

13 Mick Mars Robert Alan Deal, known professionally as Mick Mars, is an American musician, guitarist and founding member of heavy metal band Mötley Crüe.

While performing with Motley Crue, an over-eager fan knocked him to the ground in 2013.
