Top 10 Most Overrated Lego Themes

When it comes to LEGO, there's no doubt that certain themes tend to get all the attention. But just because something is popular doesn't always mean it's without flaws.

In fact, some LEGO themes seem to get a bit more hype than they deserve. And that's what this list is all about, exploring the LEGO themes that, while still fun, might not quite live up to the level of praise they often receive.

Note: Overrated doesn't mean bad! It's just that some of these themes get more credit than others, and sometimes people can be a little too critical. If you've ever thought a particular LEGO theme was a bit overhyped, this is the place to share your thoughts.

1. Ninjago

   

   I love Ninjago, but the problem is that every time someone says something negative about it, the fans get angry and don't respect differing opinions. This theme has way too many overly enthusiastic fans.

   I agree - this theme is very overrated. The first subthemes (Skeletons, Snakes) were good, but things took a turn for the worse with the Nindroids.

   Pretty cool, but it gets too much fan mail.

2. Star Wars

   

   It's basically just the same stuff over and over again. Well, mostly. Sometimes Disney comes out with more stuff that gets turned into LEGO.

   Star Wars is cool, but it doesn't deserve the pop-culture weight it carries, and that naturally extends to the Lego version as well. Please, just stop.

   Rehash after rehash. It feels like people are now just getting the sets for the minifigures, even though I still love this theme.

3. Super Heroes

   

   Same as Star Wars - it feels like people are just getting them for the minifigures.

4. Nexo Knights

   

   I hate this theme so much.

5. Hero Factory

   I like this theme, but people keep mistaking it for Bionicle.

6. The Lego Movie

   

   Well, at least it's not as annoying as that catchy song in the second part.

   People keep singing Everything is Awesome.

7. Minecraft

   

   Just play Minecraft instead of buying all the sets.

8. Mixels

   

   It's a fine theme, but it received too much hype, and the cartoon barely appears on Cartoon Network.

9. Lego Dimensions

   Too much hype for an overpriced video game.
