Top 10 Jak and Ratchet Games for the PlayStation 2
This is a list of my favourite Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank games available on the PS2.
It includes the original PS2 titles from NaughtyDog and Insomniac Games as well as the PS2 ports of the PSP Jak or Ratchet games.

Jak 2
My first game that made me see how enjoyable video games were and it never got bring this is also the child version of Grand Theft Auto just think about it and it kinda reminds you of Grand Theft Auto. You steal car you get chased buy cops and there are missions in order to complete and fully get a grasp of this amazing classic.
I enjoyed this game so much I saw that they were selling it for ps3 and I bought it again for when I get bored of destiny (Excited for the taken king)or Call of Duty. And one Question WHERE IS SLY COOPER
Jak 2 is not only at the top of the list but also my favorite PS2 game ever. The exciting plot kept me playing through the hard and unforgiving missions, unlike in Jak 3, where I did the missions just to complete the game. I've played Jak 2 so much that I often associate this game with the PS2. It still amazes me that I can enjoy this game long after collecting all the orbs.

Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal
Everything was great about this game. The weapons were the best in the series and this had the best humor. This is one of my favorite games of all time because of the amazing story and it had the best arena out of all the ratchet and clank games.
Grew up with this and jak2 I swear can't choose one but I actually kinda liked ratchet and clank 2 better than this mainly the story line but this game was better in every other way WE LOVE YOU INSOMNIAC
Up Your Arsenal shows the potential of the PS2 hardware. I had so much fun with this game the first time around, but I find it hard to enjoy as much nowadays. Definitely the best selection of weapons in the whole franchise (except the RYNOCIRATOR) and exciting levels.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
The Precursor Legacy brought me back to 3D platformers after I lost interest in Super Mario 64. The adventure and Jak's ability to channel eco really inspired my imagination. The final boss fight was also really epic, especially when Jak uses the blue eco jump pad on the dark eco silo, and you see that Jak is on top of the world.
This is great, this should be number 1 it is better than jak 2 or 3 (no hate towards 2 or 3 both great games)
BEAUTIFUL environment! Super fun and relaxing. Takes me back to my childhood

Jak 3
A year after the success of Jak 2, Naughty Dog released Jak 3. It was the same sandbox game that Jak 2 was, only with more gimmicky missions, a poor addition of weapons, and a plot that wasn't exciting at all. I was really disappointed with this game and had hoped for a different genre for Naughty Dog to combine with platforming instead of another sandbox.
I love this game. Very similar to Jak 2 but extremely different to Jak 3. There is a lot of different things you can do through the game and overall it just feels like the perfect game of its time

Ratchet Deadlocked
This was my first Ratchet and Clank game. It wasn't clear to me that it was part of a series since Clank's name wasn't in the title. It was also a spin-off and doesn't have the same platforming adventure as the other games in the series. However, the violence and humor made the game enjoyable.
-
Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando
The sequel to the original Ratchet and Clank game. Unfortunately, I loathed the space segments, as the ship was on autopilot with nothing but speed boosts and barrel rolls. This was almost as terrible as the sixaxis controls in Tools of Destruction.
-
Ratchet & Clank
The original Ratchet and Clank had great level design and platforming that wasn't overshadowed by the weapon upgrade system. The adventure was really fun, and you don't experience the same sense of exploration in the later games.
A really great game, challengeing but not frustrating like the jak games are because of their difficulty.
-
Jak X: Combat Racing
The vehicles unlocked later in the game were useless and not worth unlocking. I don't like racing games, and the vehicles did not help at all.
Ratchet is also an unlockable character in this game, he is wearing his deadlocked armour without the helmet
If this game didn't carry the Jak label/brand with it, it never would have been a Greatest Hits game

Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters
I liked this as a game, but as a port onto the PS2, it's another story. Let's just say that whatever is made for the PSP should stay on the PSP.
-
Secret Agent Clank
This has the same issues as Size Matters for PS2, but worse because the original developers didn't port the game. I couldn't go back for the skill points due to the long loading times, and the gameplay was just too confusing.
