Reasons Why the PlayStation 3 Is Better Than the Xbox 360
Pfft. It's why I bought a PS3 in the first place. A year could end up costing almost $1,500 just to play games online! Anyone agree?
I personally am an Xbox gamer, and this is probably one of the only advantages I see in having a PS3. Most other reasons are just annoying.
Why waste 60 bucks for a whole year to play online?
60 bucks is almost another game you could've bought.
Xbox has Halo, Gears of War, Fable, and? We have Uncharted, Killzone, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance, Infamous, Metal Gear Solid, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, and ModNation Racers.
The Halo games are failing now. That's all Xbox has. The graphic difference between the two is massive. I don't even understand why this would be a debate. PlayStation fan forever.
Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, God of War, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Resistance, and Infamous. I think Killzone is a bit better than Halo overall.
The PS3 controller still feels great and, more importantly, doesn't require batteries like the 360 controllers. This is a big advantage for PS3 owners because, let's be honest, buying batteries is expensive and just sucks.
Xbox 360 sucks because every time your controller runs out, you need a new battery. But with the PS3, you can charge it while playing.
It's nice that the controllers are chargeable. Then I don't need batteries.
A game system, DVD player, and Blu-ray player.

I've had my PS3 for about 5 years with no problems at all, while Xboxes have always had problems.
I lost my Xbox to the Red Ring of Death, and I only had it for 8 months. I have had my PS3 for 3 years, and it is running perfectly fine.
Red Ring of Death? Pssh. You don't get that with the PS3.
I'm not so sure that the Xbox fails 50% of the time. I don't have an Xbox, mind you, but I don't think so many people would have it if the system failed half of the time.
The PS3 controller is easier to hold, and the control sticks are right next to each other (a huge advantage in FPS games). It's rechargeable, meaning you won't have to buy batteries for it. You can plug it into a computer or the system, and it's good. It's also easier to hold in the hand and is the perfect size for everyone.
The PS3 controller is almost perfect. The Xbox 360 controller is larger and not as well laid out. In fact, the controller has the left stick and the directional pad laid out in the wrong way. The PS3 controller is easier to use.
I also have a PS3, and I am amazed by the work put into the controller, unlike the leading Xbox 360 controller that is sucky and pretty heavy. So, I propose the PS3.
PS3s have a platinum trophy for every trophy achieved in a game, whereas Xbox doesn't. Some Xbox games don't give you achievements as often as other games, whereas with trophies, PS3 does.
On the Xbox 360, you can get tired of games easier because there is nothing to look forward to getting. That is why trophies make you want to play more.
Xbox has had achievements from day one. Trophies came out after two and a half years of its release date. All PlayStation did was copy Xbox's idea.
A PS3 may be older, but it's still better. I have had my PS3 for 7-8 years. PRO.
The Xbox 360 is 1 year older than the PS3. But the PS3 is better forever!
The Newcomers
With the Xbox 360, you would have to solder in a mod chip to JTAG/RGH your console and do a bunch of other stuff, as there is no softmod for the Xbox 360. The process is much easier said than done, and your console can get banned for doing so. The PlayStation 3, on the other hand, supports custom firmware that you can install on earlier model PS3s, and it requires no soldering. Even if your PS3 doesn't support CFW, it can still be softmodded via HEN, which you will have to enable every time you turn on the console.
I started buying only PS3 games because the Xbox 360's controller has problems with the analog sticks. I always have to worry whether the game will work right with my controller, whereas the PS3 controller has never had that problem, even on the exact same games I played on the Xbox 360.
In my opinion, Xbox 360's design is ugly! Even the fat PS2's design is better than that. (Did I go too far?)

The Xbox Live community is packed with bullies, racists, and guys just being stupid! PSN is a lot calmer and friendlier. You might get the odd bully now and then, but what's the bet he has a friend sitting right next to him?
90% of trolling videos happen on Xbox. Plus, Xbox has a lot more little complaining kids.
Yeah, ever tried tilting your Xbox while playing a game? It will turn your game into a useless coaster. Never saw that happen on PS3.
I bought my 80GB console 5 years ago and filled it up within 2 years. Upgrading the hard drive to 1TB was the best thing I ever did. Only 4 game saves out of close to 50 didn't make it: Bayonetta, AC2, and Saints Row 2 & 3. Aside from that, the transition was seamless. Now, with a collection near 80 games, it's good to know I am nowhere near close to filling up my good ol' PS3.
