Top Ten Best Playstation Characters

The Top Ten
1 Crash Bandicoot Crash Bandicoot is a video game franchise of platform video games. The series, originally exclusive to the Sony PlayStation, was created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin during their tenure at Naughty Dog for Sony Computer Entertainment.

The legendary PlayStation 1 icon returns to take his place as the number 1 PlayStation character. The first Crash Bandicoot game I remember playing is CTR (Crash Team Racing), but everybody knows he is the best and always will be.

Crash Bandicoot was an original video game character. He was even meant to be the face of PlayStation and to compete with Sonic (the face of Sega) and Mario (the face of Nintendo). But now Crash is not as popular or as good as he used to be before Crash of the Titans came out. So, I think that Crash is the number one PlayStation character.

2 Kratos Kratos is a fictional character and the titular primary protagonist and anti-hero of the God of War video game series. He is a demi-god who seeks retribution and vengeance on Ares and later, the Greek Gods after he was betrayed and was forced to kill his family .

He has four major games as of right now, with Ghost of Sparta on the way. With the main trilogy completed and a prequel (Chains of Olympus), this series is one of the best, if not the best, video game series in the world! Every time Kratos appears on a console, it is not only the #1 seller but also the best-reviewed game on the PlayStation systems. Each game pushes the graphical capabilities of the systems, and Kratos is amazing!

Kratos is the biggest PlayStation character ever. Strength, purpose, and will.

3 Nathan Drake

The Uncharted series are the best PlayStation 3 games for many reasons, with this grave robber being one of the biggest. Nate Drake is brave, intelligent, and has one of the sharpest mouths in video gaming. Also, Nolan North is the voice behind this epic treasure hunter.

Nathan Drake is from the Uncharted series, specifically Uncharted 1, 2, 3, and 4. Nathan Drake has awesome weapons: a pistol, an AK-47, and a knife, I think. I love the second game because of the first level when you try to get out of a bus that is about to fall.

4 Ratchet Ratchet is one of the protagonists of the Ratchet and Clank series developed by insomniac games as a playstation exclusive.

He is my childhood hero. My cousin introduced me to the first Ratchet and Clank game. I have played and loved every single game. The series has come so far, and Ratchet and Clank are also going to have their first movie based on the first game, which is set to be released in 2015. I will be 19 by the time it's released. I can't wait!

Ratchet is an awesome character, but I don't like his new design. He looks far too young and less menacing. I want his design back from the Future series, Tools of Destruction or Crack in Time. He had the perfect design in the Future series.

5 Solid Snake Solid Snake is a fictional character and one of the main protagonists of the video game series Metal Gear by Hideo Kojima. He is a legendary soldier cloned from Big Boss's DNA, who is sent to infiltrate and investigate the titular weapons in an effort to stop a potential war.

Sony's Snake (Metal Gear Saga) has come a long way from the starting pixel-mashing portraits. Where Crash Bandicoot is a smash, Solid Snake delivers in wholesomeness. Big Boss has also changed in this series, such as with colors on the identification of the persona. The mesh with pixels is the simplest to gratify, however still neat to shoot at times and give it a whirl of play. Dandy.

Legend! That man lives on in our hearts. A leader and a man of the people. Snake was emotionally crippled but a man of substance. He never neglected his call of duty, and that was to be a doer rather than a sayer.

6 Spyro the Dragon Spyro the Dragon is the titular main character and protagonist of the Spyro video game series, including The Legend of Spyro.

He was my Mario and my Sonic. He's my PlayStation icon. I loved the remade trilogy. I'm also a fan of A Hero's Tail and Skylanders. The Legend of Spyro series is okay, but I now love the remade trilogy games more.

The 3D platformer was more developed than the Crash Bandicoot series, with a slight edge in overall enjoyment for a general audience. This is because Crash levels get much harder much faster, while Spyro only has hard levels towards the end of the game.

Also, the soundtrack and collectibles system in the Insomniac Spyro games was more fun and superior to those in Crash Bandicoot's games. However, the Crash Bandicoot series is by far the superior 2D/3D platformer. The story and side characters in both series are well-developed and lovable, including the antics of the villains.

7 Sly Cooper Sly Cooper is the title character of the Sly Cooper video game series, developed by Sucker Punch Productions and Sanzaru Games for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita consoles.

Sly Cooper is my all-time favorite of all the PlayStation heroes. I loved him ever since my childhood and would endlessly play the first game many times. He's got tons of abilities, and I just like his design and his gang. I hope to see more development of the character in the future.

He may not be the best PlayStation character, but I would say he's one of the best, possibly standing alongside the face of PlayStation: Crash Bandicoot, maybe even with Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter.

I was expecting Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter to be in the top three because these guys had the best graphics I had ever seen in gaming when I was a kid. But Sly Cooper was the best. He is my second favorite video game character. Right above him is Dante from Devil May Cry, and third is Ratchet and Clank.

It was fun playing as Sly Cooper when I was young. If I were to compare him to any superhero, it would be Batman. He has one of the best villains I have ever seen in video games: Clockwerk.

8 Jak

Another Naughty Dog character. He, Sly, and Ratchet are the big daddies of PS2. But unlike Sly and Ratchet, Jak's games were only on PS2. He hasn't gotten a sequel yet. Though, in my opinion, the series ended perfectly, so that's fine.

Childhood hero, really. How much more to say than that? He originally got me into video games.

He is obviously very underrated for how innovative and interesting he was.

9 Dante Dante is a fictional character and the primary protagonist of the Devil May Cry series, created and published by Capcom.

He did really well in the Devil May Cry series. His first enemy was Phantom, a spider with a scorpion's tail. My favorite villain from the first game was Nightmare, who even brought back Phantom, which was pretty cool.

In the newly released 2013 Devil May Cry, my favorite boss is Bob, a news reporter. He doesn't seem like much at first, but at the end, you end up fighting multiple Android versions of him.

Dante is really good, and my favorite villain is Vergil. The twin brothers have a tragic story. Dante lost much of his family: his mother, the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda (his father), and his brother to evil.

10 Sackboy

Sackboy is one of the first PlayStation characters I was introduced to. He is a nice, short, customizable sack man who makes the unimaginable possible, and his game makes your ideas come true!

I've played LittleBigPlanet with this lovable guy on every machine it can be played on.

A cute, fluffy character that has turned into the PlayStation mascot.

The Contenders
11 Sweet Tooth

He should be in the top ten at least. That one crazy clown who kills people to get a wish - a simple wish - is amazing. He was another character I grew up playing and was in one of the best games: all-out warfare in cars. The remake is amazing too.

One of the best PlayStation characters ever. Marcus "Needles" Kane deserves more love than other characters on this list.

One crazy clown with fire for hair, an ice cream truck that dishes out fear, and unbeatable weapons.

12 Lara Croft Lara Croft is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Square Enix video game franchise Tomb Raider.
13 Cole MacGrath Cole MacGrath is a fictional character, who is the main protagonist and player character of the 2009 PlayStation 3 video game inFamous and it's 2011 sequel inFamous 2.

He may not be the best, but seriously, he is the coolest!

14 Big Boss
15 Cloud Strife Cloud Strife is a fictional character and the main protagonist of Square Enix's 1997 role-playing video game Final Fantasy VII and several of its sequels and spin-offs.

This should be higher just because Zack from Final Fantasy isn't here. Cloud is cool, though.

16 Sir Daniel Fortesque

Seriously? Only 45? This guy is a real hero and definitely should be in the top 10 at least. It's sad how these characters we all loved are slowly getting forgotten by most people. I will always remember the adventures of Sir Daniel Fortesque. God, I need to play the games now.

Daniel Fortesque was a beast! MediEvil is one of the best games for the original PlayStation.

17 Jill Valentine Jill Valentine is a fictional character from the Resident Evil series first appearing in the first Resident Evil game in 1996 as one of the two playable characters, she would also go on to star in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Someone from Resident Evil belongs on this list. Why not pick someone from the first game?

18 Mael Radec
19 Alucard Alucard is a fictional character and the protagonist and antihero of the Hellsing manga and anime series created by Kouta Hirano.
20 Abe
21 Sparx
22 Lammy Lamb
23 Hu Tao
24 Jack Slate
25 Ellie

I understand why she isn't number one, but she should be. I love her.
