Best Rock Albums of the '90s
An absolutely legendary album that shaped and changed modern alternative/grunge music. In my opinion, the top 3 should be: Nevermind, Dookie, Enema of the State.
I will never forget the first time I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit. I knew things would never be the same in music again.
Nirvana: the best band in the world!
There are a lot of solid albums of the '90s, but none contain the energy that this one has to offer.
If they would have stopped at this album, they would have been bigger legends.
I was a rabid Iron Maiden fan who listened to grunge for the first time with Alive. I fell in love immediately.
What the hell? Number twelve! Just no.
This is the greatest album of all time, let alone the greatest rock album of the 90s.
Every song in Dookie is energetic and fabulous, but "Basket Case" is in a class of its own. The simple chord progression and melodies are so catchy. It was this song that made me realize the greatness of Green Day.
Every song here is perfect. Each track has its own place to make this one of the best albums in existence.
Their most solid album from start to finish includes Innuendo, I'm Going Slightly Mad, and of course, Queen's finest hour: The Show Must Go On. Their last album just so happened to be their greatest one.
It's not as influential as OK Computer, but it's the best in terms of musical maturity. Innuendo is one of the greatest songs.
For me, this is the number 1 album of the '90s. Not a single song in here that's not a masterpiece.
Someone tell me why this is so low. Every song on this album is a perfect 10. It was also one of the first albums I ever owned as a kid.
These guys were so cool and mysterious. I didn't know what the band looked like for a long time.
Should be at the top of the list. Tool is the best band ever made.
Am I the only one who thinks Californication is better than Blood Sugar Sex Magik? Personally, I believe both deserve to be on a top 10 greatest rock albums of the '90s list. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Californication is the better album.
How is this 32? It has to be number 1, not just for '90s music but for all-time albums in all genres. In 1,000,000 years, this needs to be first.
Siamese Dream deserves to be in the top 5 albums of the '90s.
This is the greatest album from the '90s for sure. It never gets old and still sounds new in 2016.
