Top 10 Best Sludge/Doom/Stoner/Grunge Metal Bands

You may ask why are you making a list about bands in these genres isn't that a bit overkill? Well the reason i made this list is because all of these genres are related and all are very simular in terms of their sound and music. Master of Reality by Black Sabbath is the album that kickstarted and influenced all of these genres which pretty much every band in one of these genres lists Black Sabbath as an influience and as it turns out Black Sabbath were more influential towards these genres rather than some other genres like others beileve.

1 Black Sabbath Black Sabbath were a Heavy Metal band formed in Birmingham, England in 1968 by guitarist and songwriter Tony Iommi, singer John "Ozzy" Osbourne, bassist and main lyricist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward.

The band became mainstream after improving after their debut album got panned. In 1978, Osbourne was fired and replaced with former Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Who went to release 2 albums before leaving in 1983, only for Osbourne to return in 1992. ...read more.

While Black Sabbath is undoubtedly the best Doom Metal band, but outside of Sabbath Candlemass takes the cake for me.
