Best Social Media Websites and Services

The Top Ten
1 Facebook Facebook is a corporation and an online social networking service headquartered in Menlo Park, California, in the United States.

Facebook is the best out of all these sites. Facebook has 500 million users. Facebook has all the stuff twitter can do plus more. Facebook has chat witch lets you talk live with people. The only thing twitter has is that you can only update your page with one word.

Facebook is definitely the most improved website in the world wide web... Has the most people... And has a lot of very good features... And very nice addicting games... I got to Facebook 12 hrs. A day 7 days a week... Got it? It is simply the BEST

Facebook sucks and very toxic because you can hold limited 5000 friends and you cannot view older post and status and also you will get hacked by a terrible user.

Facebook is pointless, why should it be top? all you do is say things to others about your life that they don't like, and you lose control with what people say, and they spam you.

2 YouTube YouTube is a global video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. The service was created by three former PayPal employees on February 14th, 2005. In November 2006, it was bought by Google for US$1.65 billion. YouTube is ranked among one of the most visited websites, placing in 2nd place - only topped by Google Search. As of 2022, the current CEO of YouTube is Susan Wojcicki.

The very first video on the website was "Me at the zoo", uploaded on April 23rd, 2005, uploaded by Jawed Karim. ...read more.

Leland Powell is not allowed into YouTube Space because of him causing so much trouble, also they know who he is so if he enters that place while he's not allowed to then they will have to call the police to arrest him, men the Powell couple have to deal with their son and their 2 daughters.

Some channels are good but the comment section on YouTube can be VERY VILE. Youtube Comments are one of the most loathsome things I've ever seen. Where putrid and offensive people use "cheap humour" (what I call homophobia, sexism, making fun of cancer and disabilities, etc.) because it takes no effort to make and it's not even funny. Report these comments. I always just report them and NEVER reply or the ugly neckbeards will fart out their Cheap Humour because they are too lazy and uncool to think of anything better.

YouTube is my life, it taught me to draw, it gave me my humor, I can search up funny videos who are informative or humorous or both and it is the reason why I play so many video games, hell, it even introduced me to one of my favorite video games majora's mask! YouTube is definitely the best social media website of all time.

I go on youtube daily. You rarely get banned from youtube unless you upload gore or porn or illegal recipes or something like that. Sadly the content is sometimes low quality. But censoring stuff because we don't like it would be removing freedom of speech.

3 Instagram

Hello? How is Instagram ranked 5? As the years go by, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and Tumblr are getting older each day. Facebook constantly has these terrible updates where your privacy gets invaded each day, and nothing is fun anymore. You have to pay money on Facebook. (not to get a Facebook, just to have more fun with it) Ew. Twitter may not try to invade privacy, but is just as complicated and boring. MySpace? What? Who has that anymore? Nobody says, "Let's go on MySpace tomorrow and chat, " or "Check my MyPage tomorrow, okay? " Tumblr? It's just a complicated mess and without any followers, you have no fun. It's easier to get followers on Instagram and is very simple and fun to use. Instagram is the new king!

It's how to stay in contact well, not just with words, with pictures, insights on your day (that disappear later). And its sort of everything that people like put together. A story and filters like Snapchat (plus going live), comments and whatnot like Twitter, and likes (In Facebook and Twitter I think I only really do IG to be honest), but it's so different to anything else when you look into it. P.S there's no unlike button so you can't really get hate from a button that somebody pressed on purpose or by accident. P.P.S If its racist or insulting, then you report the post and comment way easier and you need a real REASON to report. Insta will look into it to see if its fair before they block you as well. No hurt feelings here.

Instagram has a unique way of helping people sharetheir opinions and information about their lives by taking pictures of their everyday living. I believe a picture is worth a thousand words and that has been proven by instagram through my followers and other users.. I'm currently enjoying it cause I have never felt much appreciated as I am in instagram cause so far I'm receiving many like, good reviews and I already have over 2000 followers and now I made a lot of friends through instagram.. It's the best social networking site ever!

I'm addicted to instagram, I check it nearly everyday. I find the privacy on instagram is very good. Some sites you'll put your profile picture up, and sometimes you can click on whoevers profile and save it to your camera roll. I disagree with that strongly. instagram does not allow you to save others photos or profile pics, which I like a lot. Obviously someone could always take a screen shot, but that's not instagrams fault. Instagram is quick and simple, and works very well. I honestly think Facebook is ridiculous, instagram is the only social networking site I have. Oh yeah, the videos is a bonus

4 Twitter Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, also known as "tweets", restricted to 280 characters.

Way better than GAYbook. It's newer too. So many celebrities have verified Twitter accounts now. When was the last time you heard of people talking about celebrities' Facebook pages? 140 is a magic number, the website is useful when you want to let people know when your new videos are up. It is extremely convenient and in fact, I'll tweet a link to this list right now.

A site where you can follow your friends AND your favorite celebrities? And a site where you can get updates every time a celebrity tweets (if you want it too). COUNT ME IN! Twitter is the site to use.

It is almost the same as Facebook is but it is used by less people that Facebook. This is why it comes to 4th place but it is still great place to meet people and to share nice moments with friends.

Twitter is completely pointless. All you do is hashtag a bunch of crap and send messages to your friends and retweet a bunch crap that doesn't matter. It's really pointless and a waste of time, as far as most social media sites go.

5 Snapchat Snapchat is an American multimedia instant messaging app and service developed by Snap Inc., originally Snapchat Inc. One of the principal features of Snapchat is that pictures and messages are usually only available for a short time before they become inaccessible to their recipients. The app has evolved from originally focusing on person-to-person photo sharing to presently featuring users' "Stories" of 24 hours of chronological content, along with "Discover", letting brands show ad-supported short-form content. It also allows users to keep photos in the "my eyes only" which lets them keep their photos in a password-protected space. It has also reportedly incorporated limited use of end-to-end ...read more.

In my opinion, this is one of the most boring things I've ever used. I simply can't understand how so many people like to take pictures of themselves, especially with fillers. If you like it so much, then look in the mirror everyday because it's the same thing.

Snapchat is more evil than the plans of Donald Trump. Snapchat is full of popular girls (Justin Bieber Fans). Snapchat is hellish and foolish.

Damn I love snapchat. Great way to send pictures to your friends without them having a chance to keep it forever to tease you with

I love snapchat so easy to be private and to send pics. Also love the stories concept.

6 Tumblr Tumblr is a microblogging and social networking website founded by David Karp in 2007, and owned by Oath Inc.

Tumblr has a lot more depth and diversity than any social media. You can share quotes, pictures, videos, text posts and chats. I personally believe that there are two sides of Tumblr. Hipster and Fandom. They're kind of like sisters. Hipster wakes up at 5 A. M to take candid shots of nature, and Fandom is putting way her midnight snacks. Without one side, Tumblr wouldn't work. It appeals to everything and everyone, even if you're not that into blogging. That's why they invented reblogging.

Facebook is stupid and Instagram is like Facebook for people who can't read. And to all Instagram users: nobody cares what you had for lunch.

Tumblr filled with depressed neutralists who think they're funny when they post a story that makes no sense.

Tumblr is like a sewer...or even worse because of all those stinky adventure time fanart and fans!

7 TheTopTens TheTopTens is a countdown-based website founded and created in 2005 which consists of user-generated content. Visitors can vote, comment, like other comments, and view user-created remixes. Registered users can use the additional features of the site - such as creating lists, remixes, posts, messaging, and following users to have content in the personal feed. It has over 200,000 lists as of 2022.

This is kind of a social network site. Maybe not in the most traditional sense, but it is dedicated to people who just want to get there opinion out there about stuff they love, and seeing how there opinions stand up against the publics opinions.

SOCIAL MEDIA, we are talking about. This is not social media. But I love the top tens. It is safe, you don't have to have an account, your personal information isn't leaked and it's a fun cite! In my opinon (and I'm not just saying this cause I'm on the top tens) this cite is better than any social media

Possible to comment without any account. Also very democratic in a good way. Only downside is that sometimes not everything exist.

TheTopTens is nothing, because it's all about hate.

11 Reddit Reddit (stylized in all lowercase as reddit) is an American social news aggregation, content rating, and discussion website. Registered users (commonly referred to as "Redditors") submit content to the site such as links, text posts, images, and videos, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into user-created boards called "communities" or "subreddits". Submissions with more upvotes appear towards the top of their subreddit and, if they receive enough upvotes, ultimately on the site's front page. Reddit administrators moderate the communities. Moderation is also conducted by community-specific moderators, who are not Reddit employees.

Reddit is one of those social media sites that you can really choose what you need to do with it. If you want to become a mindless Internet zombie (the kind you find on Twitter) that's an easy trap to slip into on this site, and yet it's the best forum site ever created. I use it personally to be a nerd about things that I can't be a nerd about anywhere else, and mainly for productive things. It's one of those hit-or-miss sites that hit so hard every other forum site was jolted farther away when it did.

Reddit is basically the perfect social network. It is heavily moderated and keeps trolls out. It allows for civil, thoughtful discussion. It has something for everyone. There is a practically endless amount of communities. It's wonderful. Facebook, that repugnant cesspool of minion memes, has nothing on reddit.

It's kind of like the reverse version of YouTube. The creator doesn't post on the channel, YOU post on the channel! And the Comment System is designed really well where you can downvote or upvote someone's comment if you like it or not. And those downvotes/upvotes count. When you get downvotes, you lose karma. When you get upvotes, you gain karma. by the way Karma is these internet points.

If this site weren't so liberal and unsupportive of free speech, I would've put this site in the Top 3.

It's a very quirky site, in a good way. Sometimes we get some April Fools events like the memeona virus and r/place. It's also a place where you kinda just know a lot of people there. You don't just see people come and go, you see a bunch of people that you recognise and can interact with. I know so many people from Reddit, it's kinda like a little village. All internet sites have ups and downs, the hivemind there is pretty unforgiving to first timers and there are unwritten rules about how liking Fortnite, emojis and TikTok is a bad idea, but let's be real here…

Reddit is just a porn site but with memes, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

12 Discord

Kinda glad it's not the most popular thing. It's nice having a good tightly knit community

Best website ever

That's my cord

13 Vine

All you do is see funny videos no pic just hilarious out of control make you laugh so hard you cry videos. Everyone should check it out

I don't even like vine... I just think it should surpass Google plus.

It is great... yeah

14 Kik

No! Kik is a bad site
Kik is a web site filled with 1000 bad people
And they force you to strip
And they come to your home if you don't make videos for them

15 Flickr Flickr is an image hosting service and video hosting service. It was created by Ludicorp in 2004. It has changed ownership several times and has been owned by SmugMug since April 2018.The Verge reported in March 2013 that Flickr had a total of 87 million registered members and more than 3.5 million new images uploaded daily.
16 Linkedin
17 deviantART DeviantArt is an online artwork, videography and photography community. The website was launched on August 7, 2000, by Angelo Sotira, Scott Jarkoff, Matthew Stephens, and others.

Worst, website, ever, created. My so called "friend" does all kinds of bad crap on there. She's 13 and had a fight with a 9 year old, swears at people, draws crap that's a complete waste of time, then at school she tells me my drawings aren't good enough, although they're better than hers. He tried to get me on this website and I said no, duuuh.

DeviantART is by far the best! Whatever your interests there's art and you can post whatever you want!

I have a couple of internet friens on deviantart, they uploaded good cartoon fanart and animal photos...unfortunately there are also many pseudo adventure time fans who ruin that show with their "fanart" and comments!

This isn't a social media website but there are arts that aren't for kids.

18 BAND
19 Multiply

MySpace and Multiply are better than Friendster. Friendster lacks upload of videos and mp3s which the two websites have. Also the Multiply design site is more appealing than Friendster. It has more tutorial websites for multiply. You can change also the entire site of Multiply. If you are a premium member, the ads will disappear and you can put anything you want there plus lots of benefits like 20 mins upload of video. The only bad thing about Multiply is you can't use javascript, download mp3 files (except if you're the owner), and video files (for premium members only).

20 WhatsApp
21 Truth Social
22 Twitch Twitch is an American video live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions, in addition to offering music broadcasts, creative content, and "in real life" streams. It is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. It was introduced in June 2011 as a spin-off of the general-interest streaming platform Justin.tv. Content on the site can be viewed either live or via video on demand.
23 Gab
24 4chan 4chan is an anonymous English-language imageboard website. Launched by Christopher "moot" Poole in October 2003, the site hosts boards dedicated to a wide variety of topics, from anime and manga to video games, cooking, weapons, television, music, literature, history, fitness, politics, and sports, among others. Registration is not available and users typically post anonymously. As of 2022, 4chan receives more than 22 million unique monthly visitors, of which approximately half are from the United States.

It should be possible to comment without an account. Otherwise it is not a democracy.
