I cried when he was killed by his brothers of the nightwatch. The look of surprise, sadness and despair on his face as he received the final stab in the heart was so overwhelming. I had thought I was braced for any deaths of main characters after Ned, Rob and Catelyn Stark but clearly I wasn't. And to think he would give his life for the same people who murdered him. I don't think I would have continued watching the show without him. Gave me hell of a scare!
