The Most Beautiful Songs of the Rock and Roll Era
The Top Ten
Forever, hands down the best.
Simply the best rock and roll song of all times! Most requested song in radio history. One of the most amazing guitar solos in history. Sexy vocals and a dynamite package.
This song brings tears to my eyes just hearing about it. John Paul Jones' flute playing and John Bonham's drums just make the song sound awesome. And Jimmy Page's solo was voted the greatest rock solo of all time. And the way that Robert Plant ends the song just sends a chill down your spine. By far the best rock song in the history of rock.
Its live at new york is too unbelievable to be called a song. Period9 Comments

Jeff Buckley’s rendition of this Leonard Cohen original is the musical equivalent of the Mona Lisa we recognize today compared to the sketches that DaVinci started with several layers below.
Beautiful lyrics written by Leonard Cohen. The only song I love that I don't sing along with. I'm in awe every time I hear it.
The Buckley version is just another one of over 400 covers of this great song. By far the best is the original by Leonard Cohen.
I'm, always moved emotionally by this song!
Though I think Heart's "Alone" should be close to the number one spot... "Time After Time"... Is honestly a breathtaking tune & probably one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It envokes such strong emotion & it's one of those songs that future artist should never attempt to cover. Such a timeless classic. Cindy Lauper is really good. "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is a perfect song to dance to and "Time After Time" is a song to dream to.

There is a reason why this song has been remade over and over again, and there is a reason why not a single remake has come close to surpassing this version. It is an amazing song paired with the perfect voice to give it wings.
I once heard someone sing it as beautifully as the Righteous Brothers. It was just an unknown black man who was singing it along with the piano in my dorm. He didn't know anyone was listening. I instantly fell in love with the guy.
