Top Ten Track Numbers On an Album Which Are Usually the Best Songs

The Top Ten

Metallica's Fade to Black, One, Jump in the fire, the day that never comes, until it sleeps, The unforgiven I and II, and FADE TO BLACK!
Led Zeppelin - dazed and confused, since I've been loving you, STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN, the crunge, nobody's fault but mine
Pearl Jam - Sirens, Light Years, Given to Fly, why go
I could go on, but it goes without saying that 4 is the best.

I'd also mention David Bowie's "Life on Mars? " and "Starman" and Billy Joel's "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant".

"Thirteen" by Big Star, "Helpless" by CSNY, "Walk Among the Cobras, Pt. 1" by Dan Sartain, "Heart of Gold" and "Down By the River" by Young!

Often where a band will put the lead single. Some of my favourites include David Bowie's "Changes" and "Five Years", The Beach Boys' "Wouldn't It Be Nice", Temples' "Shelter Song", and Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water".

Forget about what actually is in the world- track 3 should be one of the best of the album. First song comes. This should be a catchy one, grip your listener's attention, but it shouldn't be the best. They bought the album, they like the band. Track 2 should be a powerful one. Not necessarily the best, but powerful in concept. Interesting, with lyrics that grip the listener and make them think. Every band has songs like these. If none are necessarily powerful, then the most powerful track. Then track 3. This one should be the second best. Leave your listener stunned. They want more. They crave more. 4 should be their hit single, so that track 3's beauty can still be sinking in. They're listening to a song they like, but they don't have to think about it much. 5 and 6 are okay, not the best on the album. However, only one of them can be a forgettable song. They're both good, but every band has its forgettables. One of them can afford to be, but the other needs to be catchy. Then, BAM. ...more

I think this one should be higher. If I decided the order of my songs in an album, I'd set in this order the quelity of songs: 7, 2, 10, 4, 1, 9, 8, 3, 6, 11, 5. More or less.

10 10

This has to be higher. You got Raining Blood and Before I Forget. Two of the most popular heavy metal songs.
