Most Underrated Between the Buried and Me SongsOne of my favorite bands of all time. To celebrate the hype for their upcoming album, I'm making a list compiling what I think are the band's most underrated works.
The Top Ten
The majority of the songs on Colors are considered some of the band's greatest works, but one song in particular that doesn't seem to get enough recognition is this one. It has a really incredible intro that builds up this awesome atmosphere. If it wasn't for the fact that White Walls and Ants of the Sky steal the show, Informal Gluttony wouldn't as be as underrated. This is why I think this is their most underrated song. - cjWriter1997
This song features guitarist Paul Waggoner singing along with Tommy on acoustic guitars, which then builds up to a full rock song at the second half. It has a Counting Crows vibe, and it's a very beautiful song that is one of their most overlooked. - cjWriter1997
This song is quick and to the point, and has some of their best licks
This song has an almost Black Metal sounding intro which honestly was a shock but it's done well. Alaska is probably my favorite Btbam album besides Colors, it's super nostalgic as it was the first Btbam album I owned. This is one of my favorite songs on the record. - cjWriter1997
This song is just super fun. Coma Ecliptic may have been a disappointment to some (it was to me until I grew into it) but there is no denying that the album has some amazing songs. This is one of them. - cjWriter1997
Bloom is just fantastic. It is the band's wildest, wackiest and most fun song they ever made. I love it! "Bebop skippity tippity tap those toes! "
It's probably the most overlooked on the Parallax II album because it's simply the weirdest on it. But how can you not love that surf rock solo!? - cjWriter1997
I'm not a huge fan of their Metalcore stuff but their certainly not bad albums. They have some pretty amazing songs in my opinion. This song is one of them. Reaches over 13 minutes as well. - cjWriter1997
From their Parallax EP, it's probably the most overlooked on it. It starts with some pretty good guitar work and it just explodes into an awesome song all the way through. - cjWriter1997
This is 4 minute instrumental/interlude but it's really much more than that. It's one of the most beautiful things the band has ever written. Just sitting back with lights off, in a dim lighted room, and just listening to this. It's an amazing experience. - cjWriter1997
Another song from Coma Ecliptic that I fear is a bit too overlooked. It has an eerie intro and the rest of this song has this sinister feel to it. It's a pretty great song on it's own right, it's just underrated by the band's means. - cjWriter1997
It's only two minutes or so but it's a great interludey track that has Tommy singing beautifully at first and then builds to this climatic second half that is super incredible (and it all builds up into one of their best songs Telos) - cjWriter1997
