Top Ten Most Unlikable Movie Protagonists

PLEASE READ: I thought about making this list HQ but I feel if I give too much details, I’ll be kinda spoiling the movie for those who haven’t seen it. So please do the same if you decide to add and / or comment on this list. Please be kinda vague about it to not spoil the movie for others. Thanks.
The Top Ten
1 Jordan Belfort (The Wolf of Wall Street)

Played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Released in 2013.
Corrupt, selfish, no morals and a slimy liar. The gross thing is some people actually look up to this character.

That's the whole point of him. Great list, and another reason why DiCaprio is my favourite actor is this outstanding performance

I haven't watched this movie but honestly I kind of guessed that.

2 Mark Zuckerberg (The Social Network)

Played by Jesse Eisenberg. Released in 2010.
Unlikable in real life. What makes you think he'd be better in the movie right? Scumbag weasel.

3 Daniel Plainview (There Will Be Blood)

Played by Daniel Day-Lewis. Released in 2007.
A bully, ruthless, cold and moral-less in the pursuit of wealth.

4 Louis Bloom (Nightcrawler)

Played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Released in 2014.

No morals, no soul, no compassion, no empathy. Terrible human being. I would of slugged this dude so many times during the movie. Funny thing is he is based on a real, kinda famous, scumbag stringer from over here (Los Angeles). The real guy he's based on is also a completely disgusting human being.

5 The Lieutenant (Bad Lieutenant)

Played by Harvey Keitel. Released in 1992.
Corrupt, violent, lying, perverted pedo, junkie thug bully.

6 Charles Foster Kane (Citizen Kane)

Played by Orson Welles. Released in 1941.
Horrible cold human being who I felt no compassion for in the end.

7 Alex DeLarge (A Clockwork Orange)

Played by Malcolm McDowell. Released in 1971.
Actually start to feel kind of bad for him towards the end then I remember all the things he did and feel conflicted.

On second thought - How is he in Space Jam 2 yet Pepe Le Pew is gone?

8 Gordon Gekko (Wall Street)
9 Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver) Travis Bickle, a 26-year-old honorably discharged U.S. Marine, is a lonely, depressed young man living on his own in New York City. He becomes a taxi driver to cope with his chronic insomnia, driving passengers every night around the city's boroughs. He also spends time in porn theaters and keeps a ...read more.

Played by Robert De Niro. Released in 1976.
I actually feel bad for at times being that he's obviously mentally ill and suffering from PTSD.

10 Oliver & Barbara Rose (War of the Roses)

Played by Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. Released in 1989.
Funny moments but both are horrible people.

The Contenders
11 Enid Coleslaw (Ghost World)

Played by Thora Birch. Released in 2001.
Condescending, pretentious snob. I actually knew a girl just like her. I couldn't stand her.

12 Davey Stone (Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights)
13 Oscar (Shark Tale)
14 Bruce Robertson (Filth)
15 Nomi Malone (Showgirls)

This character is a psychopath, who kicks a guy in the balls just for saying she can't dance and pushes Gina Gershon's character down the stars which could've (and should've) killed her. Honestly, all of the characters in Showgirls are douchebags, but since Nomi Malone is the main character, all of the other characters (expect Andrew Carver) are just a little more likable.

16 Miyo Sasaki (A Whisker Away)

She is literally a stalker. A STALKER. I've never really understood movie reviewers and their "unlikeable protagonists" until I watched this movie. She stalks this boy in her school, and literally JUMPS OFF A SCHOOL BALCONY to confront two bullies who are gossiping him. At a point later in the movie she's crying on the floor saying "I just want to hear him say... I love you." I would normally feel sorry for her in this situation. But here? No.

17 Bella Swan (Twilight)
