A Portuguese singer died at the age of 81. He was a super famous person there.

They closed the borders for years. This has affected many people in Saudi Arabia, like my uncle, who was going to get a job in Qatar but could not because of this. This siege finally ended after years.

An earthquake in Indonesia killed 70 people. It is very horrible to die like this. May God have mercy on them.

A Lebanese musician died because of COVID-19 at the age of 83. He had a really long career.

This was actually bigger than the Perseverance rover landing on Mars. Daft Punk was arguably the band of EDM and produced some of the greatest house music of all time. Known for One More Time, Harder Better Faster Stronger, Robot Rock, Get Lucky, and more. On February 22, 2021, they announced their breakup after 28 years in a YouTube video titled Epilogue. They were the Beatles of EDM. Dance music will never be the same again, and there won't be another band like them. Long live Daft Punk.

20 Perseverance Rover Landing on Mars

NASA made epic history by landing the Perseverance rover on Mars after a 7+ month trip. They landed it the same way they landed Curiosity (back in 2012), and it was 7 minutes of terror leading up to the landing. Yet, it took approximately 11.5 minutes for the signal to travel from Mars to Earth (given Mars was about 11.5 light minutes away from Earth at the time). Perseverance plans on looking for signs of life on Mars, which would be unbelievably historic news for all of us.

A massacre in the DRC by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF). They have killed 25 people. Sadly, this happens weekly in this country.

Known for playing Sam "Screech" Powers from Saved by the Bell, he played his role in every incarnation and was truly funny. Though he did make mistakes that led to getting arrested, there was a silver lining in him, and he made the world laugh. He was, without a doubt, one of the greatest actors on TV and will never be forgotten. He lost his battle to lung cancer at 44. R.I.P. Dustin Diamond 1977-2021.

24 Death of Sophie

The legendary musician who fused techno, trance, and other forms of EDM with pop to create hyperpop (which paved the way for songs by A.G. Cook, M.I.A., Die Antwoord, Charli XCX, Slayyyter, Hannah Diamond, and Kim Petras) fell to her death after climbing her roof to get a good look at the moon. She was 34. R.I.P.

25 Death of Tanya Roberts

Known for That '70s Show, Charlie's Angels, and James Bond, she was also a model from Miss Universe. She passed away from cardiac arrest at 65. R.I.P.
