Top 10 Hansi Kürsch Songs with the Best Screams
Hansi Kürsch isn't a scream-style singer but he screams often and really good.He uses different types of screams and also uses them in a different way. His screams don't sound the same. Some of his screams are melodic and well planned, some others - spontaneous and raw. Sometimes it's a single scream, sometimes it's a series of screams.
This scream is one of the best I know: it's about 10-11 seconds long, emotional, powerful and surprisingly melodic. The song is about a girl dying in a car crash and this scream is probably the last scream of the dying body when the soul leaves it. The scream is after the lines "Take my hand, just hold my hand, I'll take you there, your pain will go away". The scream is at 4:05, before the guitar outro.
There are several remarkable screams on this song. The vocal performance of the entire song is incredible.
@zxm - yeah, but the screams I have in mind don't appear on the song sample.
Two powerful, raw and pretty maniacal screams at the beginning (within the first minute).
You can hear one of them on the song sample below.
For anyone who needs to listen how the screaming of this song, just play the sample, the screaming is awesome!
A very intense song where Hansi uses screams systematically throughout the song (in the way Ian Gillan used screams on Hard Lovin' Man by Deep Purple).
You can hear 2 of them on the song sample below.
There are several melodic screams, one of them is an intro scream.
It's at around 7:05 and what I like about this scream is that it's a caveman scream on a sophisticated symphonic metal song. I adore this contrast!
A raw and powerful intro scream.
This is a Blind Guardian cover and Hansi was invited to provide additional vocals (a great idea). Hansi also performed 3 really brutal screams on this version.
The scream is at 6:10-6:20. A song where you can hear Hansi low voice. I absolutely enjoy his low notes, too.
A spontaneous intro scream that has an emotionally liberating effect on me.
A Deep Purple cover with 3 wild screams that I like.
Shorter than his usual screams but still a good scream at 3:55, at the end of the slow part.
As a guest musician Hansi performed a scream on this song released in 2014. The scream is at 4:18 but it's kinda buried under other things going on at the same time.
It's a background scream and you can hear it on the song sample.
The scream at 7:05-7:10 sounds awesome (and even needed) in the middle of the most intense section of the song.
This song is so unusual, especially the intro sounds.
I added this song reIatively late but it deserves a mention. I've heard the vocal track of this song with isolated vocals (Hansi pure voice is pure bliss) and the scream at 2:45 is actually more brutal than it sounds on the song ("Light denies me NOW").
I am adding this song and the screams only because people always add the original screams by Robert Plant to any lists about great screams. I wouldn't say the original screams are very impressive but Hansi screams on this cover aren't worse so I added them, too.
Play it from 2:23. You feel that? Do the depths of your soul long for her?
