Top 10 Favorite Video Game Characters

Well........ this is difficult. I may need to put some 10 more later.
The items in this list have been selected by the author of the list for you to vote and comment on.
The Top Ten
1 Mario Mario, originally named Jumpman, is the main character of the Super Mario Bros. franchise, created by the creative director and video game designer at Nintendo of Japan, Shigeru Miyamoto. Mario has appeared in almost every Mario game, including games in spin-off series as a playable character, with few exceptions including New Super Luigi U, Luigi's Mansion games, Yoshi's Island games, and similar counterparts. He is the most iconic character in video game history and is Nintendo's unofficial mascot. His franchise has grown to be the most successful video game franchise of all time.

Come on, this isn't a surprise to anyone. It's not worth the explanation.

He saved video games

2 Zero
3 Phoenix Wright Phoenix Wright, known as Ryūichi Naruhodō in the original Japanese-language versions, is a fictional defense attorney in Capcom's Ace Attorney video game series.
4 Dante Dante is a fictional character and the primary protagonist of the Devil May Cry series, created and published by Capcom.

No explanation will be required in the next entries.

5 Kirby Kirby is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Kirby series of video games owned by Nintendo and HAL Laboratory. His first game was created in 1992, and the pink puffball has made his way into the hearts of fans of all ages.

What we have here, is none other than the cutest main character in a videogame. Kirby will swallow his enemies to gain their abilities, hold his breath in order to fly and ask to other characters the rights to get their abilities and magical objects, like the Hadouken and the Master Sword.

6 Megaman Mega Man, known as Rockman in Japan, is the title character and the protagonist of the Mega Man series by Capcom.

Capable to fire destructive busters, utilize useful items in order to surpass obstacles, use his own pets as armors and create new weapons by the information obtained from the fallen Robot Masters/ Mavericks. Megaman has become one of the most iconic characters from the videogames, for good reasons.

7 Lex (Bookworm Adventures Franchise)

Let me explain. Even though it doesn't look like it, is one of the most intelligent creatures in all videogames. He memorized the entire Oxford English Dictionary, have a great knowledge of the history of the world, various philosophers and mans of science, and is a true bibliophile. In order to save a fictional oracle, Cassandra, to be whiped out from the existence of the story (wich come to think of it, will cause a lot of changes in the universe) he is transported to various books, such as the mithology stories, the arabian nights tales and the Necronomicon (well... Lexonomicron). The sequel will add more ways of attacking the enemies in more effective and goofy ways (in what other games can you decimate a character with a tie? ), the possibility too choose companion and the replayabilityof the books. The locations are the Brothers Grimm tales, the chinese tale Journey to the West, and sci-fi books.
The best weapon Lex uses in the enemies are... letters, letter tiles. They give ...more

8 Crash Bandicoot (The Crash Games) Crash Bandicoot is a video game franchise of platform video games. The series, originally exclusive to the Sony PlayStation, was created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin during their tenure at Naughty Dog for Sony Computer Entertainment.

Crash is the most ignorant hero in all the videogames. It's not his fault to be stupid, since he is just incapable to lurn or follow the common sense or lessons of others (whatever words enters inside an ear, always comes out in the other). He follows his own sense of justice and common sense... wich is going around destroying boxes and spin so fast, that is able to sent anything in his proximity, away from the earth (maybe that's why Cortex build a satelite). He is caring, clumsy (and a twerp) and can ride bikes, pigs, dinosaurs and baby polar bears.

9 Tateyuki Shigaraki (Raymond Shields)

Many of the Ace Attorney fans had not knowledge of the sequel of Investigations 2: Prosecutor's Path, and by god, that is bad. This is the very definition of how to make a sequel. None of the cases in here are bad or bland, they're good, to great, and unbelievable. The characters aren't an exception, like Uncle Ray here. Mr. Shields is one of the funniest and likeable fellas you'll see on an Ace Attorney game. His personality is one of the best aspects of this character. He always greet, or try to greet everyone with a hug an offer candies and sweets to everyone, as a teenager, he ate his own note and memos in order to understand them better. In a moment, he is helping you and the main character to solve a murder case, in the other, he's flirting with girls. He is practically caring to everyone. As an Ace Attorney, he accepts a lot of his clients that had already been found guilty in order to give them a less harsh veredict. Mr. Shields is one of the most loyal, friendly and funny ...more

10 Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) Solid Snake is a fictional character and one of the main protagonists of the video game series Metal Gear by Hideo Kojima. He is a legendary soldier cloned from Big Boss's DNA, who is sent to infiltrate and investigate the titular weapons in an effort to stop a potential war.

Well, if it isn't the PlayStation bad-ass. Even if he's an old man, he will be sure to finish all of his missions in succes (most of the time). Obliterating a psychic maniac, destroying a massive-destruction weapon, finishing his last mission on a hand-to-hand battle with his brother. I don't have to say too many things.
