Best Animated Movies of 2018

The Top Ten
1 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

This was honestly the best animated movie of 2018 and one of the best comic book movies out there. The animation and visuals were stunning, the story is compelling, the characters are loveable, the humour is spot on, the music is great and there are pratically no major wrongs in this film and it's quite difficult to even nitpick. Unlike most of the movies on this list, this one made some ground breaking changes for animation as a medium and it feels like it will stand the test of time- I truly hope it'll win an oscar

Thank GOD this movie is number one on this list and not Incredibles 2! Putting Incredibles 2 at number one would be like putting Chicken Little at the number one spot on a list of Best Animated Movies of 2005, or putting A Troll in Central Park at the number one spot on a list of Best Animated Movies of 1994.

I think this will be the best of Sony Pictures Animation. The animation looks amazing, and is something I've never seen before. The character designs look so realistic that they kinda look like live action characters. I'm kinda hyped for this, and I hope Animat won't hate on this film.

2 Incredibles 2

This movie truly is the definition of awesomne! I moght do a post comparing the first and this one but I can say this movie was excellent!

It's been way too long since the original came out. And now we're finally getting a sequel. I'm hyped

I thought Incredibles 2 should be at number 1. It's one of the best movies of 2018.

3 Ralph Breaks the Internet

This was good, but not as good as the original, for three reasons. 1: Felix is my favorite character, and there was going to be an interesting subplot with them, but it was mentioned once at the beginning and once at the end, and that was it. Now I want to write fanfiction! 2: Ralph's personality is a lot more wimpy and buffoonish than in the first movie, and he was the butt of a lot of jokes. I don't know why, it just made it hard to take him seriously. (Probably because his short tempered, serious personality in the original was relatable to me.) 3: I just really like retro shiz so I don't know.
Other than those reasons, great movie!

This was incredibly meh. While it does a neat job of presenting the internet in a similar manner to how the original portrayed video games, just about everything else was a flaw. The story was too left-liberalistic, especially with the horrific ending, way too much over-exposure of memes I didn't even know of (and what the heck even is BuzzTube). And don't get me started on Pedo Ralph. I'd say Hotel Transylvania 3 was actually better

4 Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation

The first one was a childhood favorite in my eyes with tons of memorable moments and funny characters (Johnnystein being my favorite), the sequel though, ruined everything and I was so worried about how this was going to be, but after reading on wikipedia and other sites what this movie is going to be about, I totally changed my mind about it, a monster luxary cruise ship!? Now that sounds awesomne and this movie mmight revive the Hotel Transylvania franchise. When I saw the first trailer for te movie, I changed my mind a little bit. It had some disgusting jokes and annoying background music. But they might release better trailers for it in the future.

This is the best movie of 2018, Even though I also like the Grinch movie but this one is a good movie.

5 Isle of Dogs

Incredibles 2 and Ralph Breaks the Internet both sucked. This should be listed a lot higher!

This movie should easily be second to Spider-Verse on this list!

6 Sherlock Gnomes
7 Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold

When Batman and Scooby-Doo teamed up in the 1970s it was comedy gold. I hope this film is really fun too.

8 Teen Titans Go: To the Movies

Coming from someone who loathes TTG, even this deserves to be higher than that garbage fire of a sequel Ralph breaks the Internet! At least this movie had some decent jokes!

So original and fun for the whole family; how amazingly funny they can poke fun at themselves.

Better than the show that its based on by far!

9 The Grinch

This wil be the ninth Illuminition Entertainment movie, and the only reason I'm looking forwad to it is because it's another movie based on a Dr. Seuss book, and I really loved The Lorax (2012) as it had a powerful message and wonderful animation! And this movie seems to have good animation too!

Has got to be the most boring and lifeless Illumination feature film since Sing, and that's a steady feat. I mean it's not as bad as some other abominations from this same company like Sing, TSLOP or Hop, but it's more bare bones than any of the aforementioned films.

I hope this film is good. The Grinch story is very fun and cute and Illumination Entertainment makes films that are funny and sweet so I think this'll work out.

10 Batman Ninja

This film looks awesome. I love anime and I'm a big Batman fan so that alone sounds like the perfect combination.

THE best film I've seen this year. I love anime Batman and Catwoman.

The Contenders
11 Batman: Gotham by Gaslight
12 Early Man

Aardman is one of my favorite animation studios, they made timeless masterpieces like Wallace and Gromit and Flushed Away! They never get old, and this movie looks like the perfect mix between Wallace & Gromit and The Croods! And 'm so glad this will be released early next year! I'm so anticipated and I expect it to be one of the best movies of 2018!

The studio that made Shaun the Sheep made this. Shaun the Sheep Movie is a great film.

13 The Snow Queen: Wonderland
14 Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay

If Slipknot's in it the film will be Oscar worthy. Sarcasm aside I think this film will be fun.

15 Peter Rabbit
16 Mirai
17 Duck Duck Goose
18 Smallfoot
19 Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Detonation

I've heard from people that it was better than Reflection. So, I want to watch this movie so badly...

20 Arctic Justice: Thunder Squad
21 Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero
22 Next Gen
23 Amusement Park
24 Dragon Ball
25 Charming
