Best Animated Movies of 2018
The Top Ten
This film is wonderful! The animation is unique and I love the comic book style! The jokes are actually pretty funny too! The characters are interesting (I love how some have different animation styles) Overall great movie! I recommend it!
This was honestly the best animated movie of 2018 and one of the best comic book movies out there. The animation and visuals were stunning, the story is compelling, the characters are loveable, the humour is spot on, the music is great and there are pratically no major wrongs in this film and it's quite difficult to even nitpick. Unlike most of the movies on this list, this one made some ground breaking changes for animation as a medium and it feels like it will stand the test of time- I truly hope it'll win an oscar
I think this will be the best of Sony Pictures Animation. The animation looks amazing, and is something I've never seen before. The character designs look so realistic that they kinda look like live action characters. I'm kinda hyped for this, and I hope Animat won't hate on this film.
Every thing in this movie just screams visual masterpiece! How is this not number 1?
I thought Incredibles 2 should be at number 1. It's one of the best movies of 2018.
I was never really a fan of the first movie, but they can make this better, I think.
This year has been awful for animation, My gosh, I give this movie a 9.5/10
I think this movie should've won 2018 instead of Spider-Verse.
What?! NO! THIS FILM WAS HOT GARBAGE! There are so many plotholes in this film that you could make an entire Whack-a-mole game out of them, and if that wasn't enough! 90% of this film consists of shameless advertising and forced in Disney cameos, alongside a Disney renaissance-style musical number that's so bad it's on par with Despacito and Sweatshirt! Easily Disney's worst animated film since Mars Needs Moms!
This was good, but not as good as the original, for three reasons. 1: Felix is my favorite character, and there was going to be an interesting subplot with them, but it was mentioned once at the beginning and once at the end, and that was it. Now I want to write fanfiction! 2: Ralph's personality is a lot more wimpy and buffoonish than in the first movie, and he was the butt of a lot of jokes. I don't know why, it just made it hard to take him seriously. (Probably because his short tempered, serious personality in the original was relatable to me.) 3: I just really like retro shiz so I don't know.
Other than those reasons, great movie!
No, it sucks, take it off the list! - Mario8
Just saw this yesterday. In my opinion, far better than the first Wreck-it Ralph movie! Anyways, I'd give it a 9/10.
This is the best movie of 2018, Even though I also like the Grinch movie but this one is a good movie.
How the hell did this get so high
This is gonna be good!
The first one was a childhood favorite in my eyes with tons of memorable moments and funny characters (Johnnystein being my favorite), the sequel though, ruined everything and I was so worried about how this was going to be, but after reading on wikipedia and other sites what this movie is going to be about, I totally changed my mind about it, a monster luxary cruise ship!? Now that sounds awesomne and this movie mmight revive the Hotel Transylvania franchise. When I saw the first trailer for te movie, I changed my mind a little bit. It had some disgusting jokes and annoying background music. But they might release better trailers for it in the future.
This is definitely #2. In my opinion.
#1- Incredibles 2
#2- Isle of Dogs
#3- Spider Man: Into The Spider Verse
#4- Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet
#5- Early Man
This easily one of the best animated films out there
"This is one of Wes Anderson's best work", put it up to #2! 1
Probably my favourite thus far
I am going to see this movie
The studio that made Shaun the Sheep made this. Shaun the Sheep Movie is a great film.
Aardman is one of my favorite animation studios, they made timeless masterpieces like Wallace and Gromit and Flushed Away! They never get old, and this movie looks like the perfect mix between Wallace & Gromit and The Croods! And 'm so glad this will be released early next year! I'm so anticipated and I expect it to be one of the best movies of 2018!
I actualy agree with girlcool this time.
Coming from someone who loathes TTG, even this deserves to be higher than that garbage fire of a sequel Ralph breaks the Internet! At least this movie had some decent jokes!
So original and fun for the whole family; how amazingly funny they can poke fun at themselves.
Terrible, terrible, terrible.
Better than the show that its based on by far!
I hated this film because my mom kept on obsessing about seeing this film in theaters! I was dragged to see this film in theaters which I didn't want to ever, because I wanted to see other 2018 or 2019 films before this one! This film is pointless!
I really don't like Illumination Entertainment, but maybe this could be at least good, I don't know
Just like Illuminations other movies bad
I hope this film is good. The Grinch story is very fun and cute and Illumination Entertainment makes films that are funny and sweet so I think this'll work out.
This is gonna suck
I love Emily Blunt and Johnny Depp.
This Looks stupid
When Batman and Scooby-Doo teamed up in the 1970s it was comedy gold. I hope this film is really fun too.
This film looks awesome. I love anime and I'm a big Batman fan so that alone sounds like the perfect combination.
THE best film I've seen this year. I love anime Batman and Catwoman.
This movie was terrible, I will give it this, the animation looks godly and it's stunning, however, behind the animation lies terrible bathroom humour and unlikable characters and makes this a horrible movie, I can't even believe this is a Netflix original
BO THIS IS GONNA SUCK
I can already tell it’s going to suck
This film was really good.
If Slipknot's in it the film will be Oscar worthy. Sarcasm aside I think this film will be fun.
Already on the list
Not even animated.
This movie is going to suck. Looks like another Norm of the North.
I've heard from people that it was better than Reflection. So, I want to watch this movie so badly...
Like the art style
