Top 10 Best Decades for Animation
Animation has changed over the years, from the old black-and-white shorts to CGI motion pictures. Animation is a medium, not a genre. Remember that.
So, let's go on an adventure. Let us commence the top 10 best decades for animation.

1990s
From the 1990s, the cartoon SWAT Kats comprised my childhood. Everything basic English needed to know came from that show. Then I went to a foreign nation where I was not born, and it was in English. In the 90s, a sibling appeared as well, which is why it is most dear here. Good for second place is neat. It may even be first, but it is to be seen. Nice to see it again here.
I know this was placed very low on the worst decades list, but I still think the 90s is still a very good decade, bringing in some of the best shows on television, such as Ren and Stimpy and Darkwing Duck. I still love the 90s cartoons, despite the huge flaws they have. I sound like such a 90s kid despite being born in 2003.

2000s
While the 2000s started to suck and go downhill, some good ones were SpongeBob SquarePants, Phineas and Ferb, Kim Possible, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Johnny Test, AKA other ones as well. The worst ones were Butt-Ugly Martians, Total Drama, if it's inappropriate, Dirtgirlworld, and some weak stuff, for God's sake. Oh well. Just some of them were mixed.
When Disney and DreamWorks still did traditional animation, and stop-motion and 3D were mixed in the mix of animation types to be expected from movies too. A good variety.

2010s
While this decade had some really terrible cartoons, it also had some really awesome ones, such as The Loud House, Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, etc. So I would say that it was overall a great decade for animation.
Hate me if you want, but this was a fun decade.

1950s
Ahh, the 1950s. What an amazing decade for animation, including Disney. We had Cinderella, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, and Sleeping Beauty, but the later ones weren't that good either. Still, I do prefer the Golden Age of animation forever. We also had the golden age of Saturday morning cartoons, which began in 1955, more fun Looney Tunes shorts that were more mature and funnier, a Popeye TV show based on the Popeye cartoons, and then Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends.
Tons of good Hanna-Barbera cartoons came out in this decade before the company started to decline in the '60s. I love this decade, and Disney was also great with Cinderella and Peter Pan. Other animated movie companies were doing well too, such as the brilliant Animal Farm.

1980s
The 1980s were a very popular, nostalgic time to live in. Just a great decade with fun stuff, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spider-Man, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, The Smurfs, Care Bears, and other good cartoons.
There were still bad shows in the 1980s, yeah. But what it had was badass! He-Man! TMNT! Ghostbusters! Hell yeah! Sure, pretty much all of them are dated, but they still kick as nevertheless.

1970s
Still, it was like a decade full of hillbillies. Cartoons became weird because Walt Disney died, and cartoons weren't the best. Still, I think I loved Robin Hood because that was my favorite Disney movie growing up. Scooby-Doo was also a funny cartoon, and I really enjoyed watching it from the '70s. Still, I think it wasn't that terrible. I think it was the decade's golden age for video games.

The 1960s were okay at the time, but some Hanna-Barbera cartoons were amazing. I loved how funny, beautiful, cute, and terrific the cartoons were, especially the Disney films like 101 Dalmatians, The Sword in the Stone, and The Jungle Book. Perhaps it was the end of the Golden Age of the animation industry.
It had some great cartoons, such as The Flintstones and Peanuts, and there were very few terrible ones.

Some vintage silent films. Traditionally, some pre-Disney animation. A nice and relaxing decade for this prosperous lifetime during World War I and the Spanish flu pandemic.

The 1940s were considered mostly the wartime era and had cartoons like Looney Tunes, Popeye, Casper, Mickey Mouse, and really golden ones. Still, the late 1940s cartoons really weren't as popular as the early ones during the war.
