Ashi was exactly what the series needed. Her redemption arc was both compelling and interesting to watch. She was a female lead done right, rather than being relegated to a basic love interest with nothing other to her character.
I admire how this character, unlike Jack, was not raised to be honourable and generous as Jack was. Instead, she defied her upbringing and made her own choices. That gave her a little more depth as a character than Jack for me.
Speaking of, I feel she allowed the writers to bring out more aspects of Jack's personality instead of the stoic character we've come to know.
It was an excellent move giving the series a secondary main character, and Ashi is the perfect fit. Her backstory, development, character, and role in the series make her an amazing character.
