Top Ten Best Christmas Songs
The Top Ten
This is my favorite and I just opened this list and saw it! I love this song! It is so warm and nice and its amazing! It makes you get in the christmas spirit!
Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell rock
Jingle Bells Swing and Jingle Bell's Ring
Snowing and blowing, up bushels of fun,
For me this song is the best of them all. Even though Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas are pretty good too. I just love Christmas songs. Especially Jingle Bell Rock. I am so so so so happy he is on this list, really happy, yes! Now I have the song stuck in my head, laugh out loud. I have never heard Waiting For Christmas, but I am sure it is probably a very very good one. Ahhh, now I have lots of Christmas songs stuck in my head, help me!
I've tried not to like this but it's impossible. It's on Home Alone and whenever this is played, I think of family. I love them. - Britgirl
This song is Christmas, it's sweet, upbeat, catchy, and is lovely to listen to. It's fun to dance along with as well. Truly the greatest song about this holiday ever written! That's the jingle bell, that's the jingle bell, that's he jingle bell rock!
WAY better than Jingle Bell Rock and Waiting for Christmas, especially since Jingle Bell Rock is cringy in my opinion! Not to offend the lovers of that song!
This song is so catchy. It gets you in the Christmas spirit from the moment you hear it. It is lively, upbeat and happy and gets you in a good mood. Great song
This is A CLASSIC! the #1 xmas song of all time hands DOWN. literally iconic.
the greatest addition from the modern times to the christmass song list - lilvsinhala
Best Christmas song ever
Menowin is the most charming singer I've ever known. I love his voice so much!
Great song, great singer! This one deserves being on the top of the list! I hope it will stay there! Good luck Menowin!
Menowin is a remarkable newcomer with a very unique and impressive voice. Waiting for Christmas.. His second single release is a wonderful, emotional ballad and his voice goes straight to your heart. I'm looking forward to his 3rd single in january and his first album in spring 2012 :-)
This Christmas song is just beautiful. The best new one I have heard in a very long time. What an exceptionally good voice this guy has. The combination of voice and song is totally awesome. Perfect! - Fritzo
I mean, this song and his voice is great and all, but I'm not sure if I would put this against Josh's own "I'll Be Home for Christmas", "Believe", and "O Holy Night"...
It always makes me cry :')
I expected it to be first on the list
I'm going to vote for you
This the best song of all times
This is ridiculous. "White Christmas" is the most famous Christmas song along with "Silent Night". Who's voting here. It must be a very young crowd. And "Jingle Bell Rock" is ahead of "Jingle Bells". I'm baffled.
Because Jingle Bell Rock is a better song musically, whereas "Jingle Bells" is THE song to sing with the family in my humble opinion
Reminds me of Christmas Past, brings joy into Christmas Present and reminds me to pray for a better future Christmas for those who are far from home. Christmas can be a lonely time especially for our men and women in uniform.
Can't have Christmas without white snow
Christmas with no snow is no Christmas spirit you better go north were it always snows
This is better than any thing on this list AND oringanals are the reason of all this other stuff
You can praise the lyrics as much as you want but the song sounds way to much like generic 80s pop. - AnkVEVO
This song is great along with its message. Not everyone can afford christmas toys, food, and presents. So we should be giving everything we can to help others.
I have been listening to this since I was little, and the first one was made 6 years before I was born!
This song is my favourite ever christmas song. I mean, whats cooler than having all of the popular singers sing one big christmas song.
Willie Nelson does the greatest version of this great Christmas song
When I hear this version I think of Arnold Schwarzenegger chasing down a Turbo Man doll since this version is in Jingle all the Way.
Everyone songs this song every Christmas! This song is the Christmas theme song! Hope can this possibly be #12?! This had to be on top!
This is the only one I know that's on this list
It's a fun song to sing at Christmas. I like the story of Rudolph. - HowToTrainYourDragonFan1001
It's the best Christmas song in my book. Its entertaining for adults and kids. It makes me happy when I listen to it, unlike songs like Silent Night
This is the best song for Christmas
Its da best cause it has a reindeer that helps santa with a glowing nose
Jackie Evancho sings the best version (s) ever. Magnificent voice, powerful emotions.
Anybody who believes that Miss Jackie Evancho has not "showmanship" has never seen her live in concert. That young lady emotionally connects with the audience like no one I have ever experienced ion my 54 years. Her performances are absolutely spellbinding. True, she does not resort to "shock" theatrics by wearing "meat dresses;" and nor does she degrade herself by strutting half naked or "twerking"... but then Miss Evancho has real talent, and thus does not need to use such props to fill in the gaps.
NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY, sings this a s beautifully as Miss Jacqueline Marie Evancho - incredibly emotional performance, her stellar voice having a power so profound that brought me to tears several times. An incredible singer that stuns your senses and commands your full attention.
Jackie's angelic voice is so beautifully suited to this super Christmas Eve song, the arrangement is inspiring, and she sings it with her whole heart - of course! - Derk
Santa is a sinister elf who convicts children of thought crime.
It tells kids you better be good or else you won't get presents...
I agree it should be in top five many even the top three...
Santa is not real this song should not exist hear the truth
This song brings me in the ultimate Christmas mood, really by Trans Siberian Orchestra! I play this song on the piano so much, and you can even make your own version too!
If you count Family Force 5's version, then I guess this is one of the best Christmas songs.
Not only is it the best Christmas song, but the best song ever.
This version is the best and so is the song! WOOO go Carol Of The Bells!
I love this song! I sing it all year round! Off course by now my family dread it because I sing it so much, if you think about it surely the love from last year was special as well... I love it so much so I don't care if people think it's rubbish or if it doesn't make sense, it's brilliant and catchy!
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very last day, you gave it away! - Anthony8913
I love this song but my friend hates it. Oh well, it's still my Christmas favorite
Catchy... and brings back memories
What's that picture? This is The Pogues one right? - Unnamed Google User Remade
This is such a good song, it should at least be in the top ten. It's good because it's an alternative Christmas song and is about hard times at Christmas, and shows a different side to Christmas instead of just jolly songs.
Fab song that portrays all the contradictions and pathos of the Christmas season
The best Christmas; has so much more depth than the other songs. Just saying
this my faveorite because it brings back so many christmas memories for me. My family would always listen to this in the car around christmas time.
When I was a baby, when I used to cry (no matter the time of year) my father put on this song on our living room loud speakers and I would go into some type of trance and stared off into space... good times ;).
This song and Nat King Cole in general has emotional significance to my family. My grandpa diedover 20 years before I was born and he loved this song
When you listen to this song you feel that yes, its Christmas and everything is beautiful outside
Love it! Especially the Brenda Lee version! Played that on the guitar and sang it. This song should no doubt be no. 1 by a long shot!
Best Christmas song! My dad played it in the Christmas band!
Very fun energetic Christmas song, love the Home Alone scene when this one is playing
I listen to this a lot around Christmas time its just such a good song.
I love this song. Every time I hear it, I think of a warm fireplace, and a glistening Christmas tree, and a family gathered together around the fire, just happy to be with each other, and all of my worries just wash away. This song makes me so happy, and at the same time, a little sad, because I think of that beautiful scene, and I wish I could be there; it's just that good. Every time I listen to this song, I cry, and it's the only time I've ever cried, and at the same time, felt so incredibly happy. The song is just so powerful, but in a way that is just so calm and peaceful, and beautiful. This song always helps me put my life into perspective, regardless of what time of year it is, because it reminds me of what really matters, and the little things? Forget about them.
I love this song, and if you're ever getting stressed out about anything, whether it's a huge test coming up, or a job interview, or financial difficulties, or anything, do me a personal favor: listen to this ...more
Please, everybody, listen to the Frank Sinatra version of this song.
It's my personal favorite although all other versions of course are awesome to listen to as well. It literally gives me goosebumps for how amazingly he sings it. Listening to Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas gives me endless memories of playing in the snow, a beautiful Christmas tree in the house, everybody cheery and enjoying the holiday spirit. "Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore. Faithful friends who are dead to us gather near to us once more". This line summarizes the spirit of Christmas and why even non-Christians love it so dearly. Because it's about spending what little time we have with each other and to think of the good times. So thanks for reading "and have yourself, a merry little Christmas, now."
Yes! Listen to the Judy Garland version!
This is another one that goes on my Favorite Christmas Songs List. - CandySmith
This is definitely one of the best Christmas songs of all time. I even listen to it when it's not even Christmas time. - NickelodeonYesAddminNo
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! I really enjoy listening to the seamless blend of rock and orchestral, and at the same time, it has that Christmas feel to it that really brings this song together. I know it's a little dark for a Christmas song, but I just so happen to enjoy that genre of music. So, I'm a little biased anyway I love this song PLEASE VOTE!
Love this song can't believe its this unpopular
Heaviest Christmas song here by the legendary Savatage/TSO m/
Elvis sang my favorite version - Ajkloth
A sad Christmas song that’s actually really good. This should be at least top 15.
I like Andy's, but have you heard of Johnny Mathis' version or Pentatonix's version?
No song says Christmas like this holiday classic, whoever doesn't like this song is stupid, and whoever does like it is my friend and will be invited to gatherings in the future. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
This song is the most jolly, high-spirited Christmas song ever.
Andy Williams' version, of course!
How is this a Christmas song? It's a Winter song, yes, but like some others on here it has nothing to do with Christmas - Billyv
Very good song
Good x-mas song
This should be number 1! best song ever!
Are you kidding me! Top ten. No questions asked
It's the best Christmas carol ever
Why the hell is it not in the top 10
Should be higher up in the list. I always hear the Dean Martin version of it (which is still good), but I like the frank sinatra cover of it a bit more
I'm very upset that this isn't here. I mean, when they don't over exaggerate every syllable and slow it down to a snail's pace, this song is very uplifting and nice!
I'd love Your Favorite Martian to perform this song.
Best Christmas song ever - Artattack
The original is great, but I prefer the Oasis version. Being played on an acoustic guitar is the reason why I prefer Oasis' version over the original.
You just cannot beat this song it's the best of the best!
So is he for some reason wishing the Teen Titans a Merry Christmas? (Joke) - 445956
Can't help thinking of Christmas Every time this plays
Great song with a funky beat to it. Kids love this one especially the line "toys in every store".
Lovely song especially at the start of the season, gets you in the mood =)
I like this one. It should be higher
This should at least be in the top 10
Jim Carrey is the best ever. I never knew he could sing!?! But I really like it! He can sing. GO JIM AND GO GRINCH!
I hate this song! I'm decorating the tree happily, listening to music, in the Christmas spirit, when on comes a song where a guy is telling a grinch that his heart is a dead tomato. Totally WRECKED my mood! - pandagirl
I did a play about how the grinch stole Christmas and there was this song in it and I love it!
Literally the only Christmas song I truly love, such a classic!
Catchy, lovely and just outright good, even though it's summer during Christmas where I'm from this is still my favourite Christmas song
I like the one where that one girl sings this song. I did a dance to this song in a parade.
My name is Starlight but I like the snowman part - ilovemariokart
This is a very good song!
The keyboard at the beginning of this always makes me smile, it's one of those special Christmas songs that always get you in a festive mood!
Why is this so low at number 80, this is one of my favourite Christmas songs.
I love the beginning and the mood it sets. Paul McCartney and the Wings' greatest song by far.
This is such a great song, to be honest. This should be higher. - NickelodeonYesAddminNo
I love My Chemical Romance! Its so great that they can pull off a festive song what with there rock image. Kill Joy for life! RIP My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance is amazing! <3 I miss them.
Heard this recently and oh YUCK yuck yuck! How sleazy and revolting. definitely NOT a great song. I defy anyone not to need a bucket when listening to this gem.
Such a banger, one of the few Christmas songs that BANGS and you can click your fingers to. Very sneaky tune.
How is this not higher? It's a great song and deserves better!
This Song Sounds Like It Was Sung By A Hooker
I love this song, not only is it my favourite Christmas song it's 1 of my favourite songs EVER. I much prefer The Christmas songs about Jesus rather than songs about Rudolph & Santa. A reminder of why we are celebrating Christmas, Birth of JESUS!
This is 1 of my favorites, I prefer the Christmas songs about Jesus they are more traditional and remind us of why we are actually celebrating Christmas.
A Beautiful song about the true meaning of Christmas. The Birth of JESUS CHRIST. Best Christmas song ever in my opinion.
This song should be Number 1, in my strongest opinion. It's about the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of Jesus.
Best Christmas song ever if you ask me. - PhoenixAura81
It's so good
How is this song so low? I like others better, but this song deserves more credit than this! 0.7%? most probably don't even know it's here
My personal favorite Christmas song. It's catchy, cheerful, secular, and fun to sing along with. That's the perfect combination.
Am I the only one who appreciates real music?
Definitely the best Christmas song of all time... can't believe this is so low on the list.
This is the original song of 1995 that became more popular thanks to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Trans-Siberian Orchestra started in the 90s as a side project of metal band Savatage. - Metal_Treasure
The darkness should definitely be in at least 15 or less. What is wrong with a Christmas rock song. Nothing because it good rock n roll
The darkness are class... This song is catchy and top quality. Justin's voice is amazing.
My favourite Xmas song...
Absolutely LOVE this song. Listen to the lyrics its beautiful. Its not my favorite carol but comes close.
Piano guys do it awesome, but I wish there was a band who did it one singer original. That would be great.
The Mannheim Steamroller version is the BEST! - PhoenixAura81
This version is slightly different to the original including a whole new chorus exclusive to this version.
This list is kind of ridiculous if classics like this aren't even considered. - BKAllmighty
Not waiting 4 Christmas
YAY! I LOVE BO SELECTA
There is no such thing as SJW.
They have Kidz Bopped a classic song.
The lyric change is ridiculous.
If you want to Kidz Bop Christmas song then how about "Santa Baby"
It's cute, a man tries to get his girlfriend to stay at his Christmas party despite the fact she has to go home, Aww he even doesn't want her to freeze to death.
Sadly SJWs ruined it.
For those who don't know Christmas my Arse is a novelty song from a British actor who starred in a long running sitcom called The Royle Family. Ricky plays Jim Royle who's catchphrase was "Something my Arse! ".
One of the funniest Christmas songs around! This is about the reality of a modern British Christmas, and it features references to Cliff Richard, the Queen and Del & Rodney. - Hamster
A very smart satire of a modern day British Christmas.
Christmas My Arse is funny
I guess it's a good song, but not as good as "I Wish Everyday Could Be Like Christmas". Very similar titles, yes. But Bon Jovi's Christmas song is higher in my honest opinion, because not a lot of people heard it. Still, both are good songs for the Christmas season.
Love it! One of the best uplifting feel good Christmas songs, wish there were more like it
Call me mad, but I actually wish it would be Christmas every day.
Look how the world has became.
Coolest Christmas song ever
God bless ye merry gentlemen don't lead you to dismay. For Christ our savior was born on Christmas day. To save us all from Satin's power we have gone astray. Oh tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy, oh tidings of comfort and joy... I love this song! T's the best ever! - Alpha101
It is a good and interesting song Christians song slow and lovely
Bare naked ladies featuring Sarah mcglachlen. The best no questions asked.
This popular secular sixteenth-century English carol is very beautiful but let us not forget songs like Silent Night, Jingle Bells or Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town - MatrixGuy
You don't have to give us the history of the song - ecool553
I love this song it's the best
Even though it didn't get the Christmas #1 in 2011, it did at least outsell rival chart campaigns that actually took themselves far more seriously.
Yes there are other more famous songs on this list but for sheer novelty value this should be near the top.
I loved this when I was a kid
Not the most famous Christmas song I admit but in the 2011 Christmas chart it was one of many chart campaigns to stop X-Factor contestants Little Mix from claiming the Christmas #1. Others included campaigns for Nirvana, The Millitary Wives Chior and Alex Day.
This song is a classic and it's from my favorite episode.
Best Christmas Song! - Datguyisweird666
Before anyone decides to find it offensive, keep in mind it's a satire. Mr. Garrison was supposed to be quite a biggot before he came out as gay.
How can Queen be 39th in anything? This song is just amazing and, like everything else they've produced, timeless.
Very good. - Userguy44
It's the best song ever and if you've never heard it you should totally check it out
Listed as number one in radio luxemburg that year
Look at most of the songs ahead of The Little Drummer Boy and weep that this song in only #51. It is so good that it is hard to produce a bad version of this now timeless song. Rumpa bum bum...
My favourite Christmas song!
Best Christmas Song
Gotta give Angela Martin some credit, because this is a bangin classic!
