The Contenders: Page 3

41 Halloween

It just keeps playing in your head, and it's the most recognisable song of the horror movies

42 The Empire Strikes Back (John Williams)
43 Lords of Dogtown
44 Across the Universe
45 Twilight (Carter Burwell)

No, this should not be number 22. Should be a lot lower. - Spongebob-129

The teenage girls strike again! - Spongebob-129

46 Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
47 Sherlock Holmes (Hans Zimmer)

Musically to rank trash like Grease ahead of this masterpiece of a score is insane.

This has such an adventurous score unlike garbage like Titanic and Grease.

More quirky than Titanic but that's why this score is more interesting.

This movie should be in a category of it's own. The sound of Zimmer is too special to be in this list. Where are the other steampunks? This is just pure ignorance people!

49 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (Alexandre Desplat)

Just listen to it! Even if you're not a fan of the movies, forget that and listen to the music.

50 Billy Elliot
51 Guardians of the Galaxy (Tyler Bates)

Agreed this soundtrack does not have even a single original song and is all but a playlist but the way the songs merge into the movie and become an integral part of it is just phenomenal! This soundtrack does deserve a much higher rating!

Why is this so low it has a spectacular sound track

52 Spirited Away
53 28 Days Later (John Murphy)

In the House, In a Heartbeat. Best apocalyptic music there has been.

54 Princess Mononoke (Joe Hisaishi)

... Really guys? Joe Hisaishi is simply one of the best music composers of our age! All the music he's created for Studio Ghibli, principally for Hayao Miyazaki movies, are AMAZING. If you haven't checked out his music, or Hayao Miyazaki's movies, do yourself a favor and please, listen/watch it. I promise you won't regret it.
Although I love all his tracks, I have to say that Princess Mononoke's ones are really intense, full of emotion and... Ugh, I don't even have words to describe it. Simply wonderful.

55 Pirates Of The Caribbean - Dead's Man Chest (Zimmer, Badelt)
56 Free Willy
57 Flashdance
58 Raiders of the Lost Ark (John Williams)

Absolutely the best theme by John Williams and my favorite out of all the Spielberg movies. Even better than the theme to Jurassic Park and that was awesome. It's also a incredible movie too.

An incredible theme with an incredible movie to go with it - I can actually just spend time listening to it!

Way better than entries like twilight. Classic, epic, adventure music!

59 Moulin Rouge (Various Artists)
60 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (John Williams)

The most iconic movie soundtrack of all time. This should be number one.
