Top 10 Most Boring States in the U.S. to Live In*Yawn*, I would be bored of living in these states!
Couldn't find a single thing to do here on our cross country road trip. It was the only state where we could find nothing. Went to the literal worst state park here.
YES! I drove through this state to go to NO. Cal. (Which should be a state of its own and #2 in boring! ) and it was THE most boring drive of my life! I have driven through most states having been a military wife for 22 yrs and there is NO state more boring than Nebraska!
I knew a friend going to Nevada, who they wanted to go to a Denny's. They skipped one and said they would go the next one. There was NO Denny's until Sterling, Colorado. That's how much there is in Nebraska.
Nebraska will almost always be the last state you can name when you try and list every state, if you can name it at all. oh yeah, it's the state above Kansas, right? (I know that because of the Scrambled States of America book :) Even its name sounds boring. Nuh-Brass-Kuh. NUUBRRAAASKKKAAA
Can anyone here name anything special about this boring state?
If you think this state is boring, you haven't been there.
Don't know how this state isn't number 1 most boring!
Are you kidding me? This is the most boring state in the Midwest. This state has the most boring scenery and theirs nothing to see or do besides look at prairies, view the flat landscape, and watch Wheat fields being harvested. This state needs to be swapped places as number 1 most boring!
Western Kansas is yes boring but the Northeastern part of the state is very beautiful known as the flint hills.
Can't beat the sunsets but you can't not beat litteraly every other detail about it. "Kansas, where you can watch your dog run away for a week"
Yeah it can be kinda boring. There's no tourist attractions here
I cannot believe that I had to vote for this to talk. I have been here since I was four, and I am twelve now. I have been to many, many fun places in Indiana. I live in southern Indiana, and there is a VR gaming place, a trampoline park, FREAKING HOLIDAY WORLD, multiple water parks and the best school in the world, Lanesville Elementary. So no, Indiana is not boring, zand it should not be this high.
The state is only made for adults over 21. Kids under 21 have nothing to do, there are no fun attractions other than the children's museum which is made for kids who are no older than 12. All you see is cornfields and flat land, there are no mountains or huge hills or anything like that, there are also no family fun activities to get away for a weekend/ family vacation. There are no water parks or amusement parks. Indiana is only made for people over 21 because there's are casinos and bars almost everywhere. If there are adults who have kids under 21, I would not recommend living in Indiana, especially if you're a family who likes to get out and have fun all together, or a family who likes to travel or get away for a weekend.
Nothing but flatland cornfields. In the winter there is no sun. Nothing to do but watch wood dry. Summers are so humid especially in the southern part of the state. Basically like an extended Florida. People are raw and self-centered.
I live here in Indianapolis and I think its pretty fun, you can go to the Indy 500 but ya it can get boring sometimes. where I live there is less and less cornfields.
I live in Iowa. I still love Iowa, and think it is not completely boring, but most of the time I go out of state for fun. Probally also because I live really close to Minnesota's and South Dakota's border.
Hmm... it's not boring
*watches farmers farm corn while crying*
This is a joke. Don't get all sensitive
I mean, there's nothing more boring than a state famous for corn.
Corn corn everywhere, Iowa sounds so fun!
Jackson Hole is one of greatest ski resorts in the country, people are incredibly nice and has a fun town outside of resort. Look forward to going back. Haven't been to Yellowstone but I plan to
People probably forget that Wyoming is a state that exists.
There isn't much to do there, and not many restaurants and cities.
Who the hell even lives in Wyoming?
I have only been to Delaware once so, I can't really speak that much about it, but they have a REALLY nice mall! And the state is SUPER small and you can drive through it really fast.
I'm about to have a tournament in Deleware and I've never been even though I live in Virginia because there's nothing to do.
Delaware is just a small strip of land with absolutely nothing to do.
I've lived in Delaware my entire life, and there is nothing to do.
If you're not an outdoorsman, it's the most boring state in the U.S. And considering 90% of the Arkansas population is obese, there really aren't THAT many outdoors people here.
Arkansas is actually more interesting than most give credit for. I've lived here all my life and have not seen all the wonders there are to see yet.
Of course it's boring if you're outside of Mount Rushmore.
Very much so agreed
Yeah, pretty much.
It's literally so boring, it's honestly the worst state too. Pississippi is a place to avoid. Biloxi and Gulfport, don't go there, their water isn't fresh. If you want a beach vacation, go to Florida, not Mississippi or Alabama. Jackson has nothing to do.
This state offers nothing boring, expensive and discriminative entertainment, and majority of people here are uptight and conformist. Also, everybody wants to be better than the next person and will look down on those different from them. The big cities here are the only place you can be free from stuck up people but they're filled with crime, unemployment, and rude people with filthy streets that's been abandoned by the state with goes along with the "criminal" stigma for people from those cities in other parts of the state. In order to live decent here you have to afford a 500k+ home just to be in a decent neighborhood and have your kids go to a decent school. Even Rhode Island gets more recognition than us and they're a smaller state with at least more to do. Everybody shops in Manhattan and pulls their " I'm from NY card " because that's how much it sucks here and nobody will know where we are from if we say Connecticut in another state.
I have lived in Connecticut for the majority of my life and there is absolutely nothing special or cool going on here whatsoever. There are small cities which are all very gross, poor and offer nothing special/interesting at all. The beaches are boring as hell and there is pretty much nothing in the northern part of the state but empty famland. The southern part of the state is just traffic and ugly cities with very annoying people. We have some good colleges but that's pretty much it. I don't recommend living here it is boring as hell. I'm surprised this isn't higher on the list.
I moved here from Massachusetts. I only live here because of work. People could be nice in Connecticut but not very inviting, they keep to themselves. Their idea of entertainment is to sleep all the time, or if not sleeping, just eating and shopping.
You rarely see people walking for exercise around here for themselves. They need an accessory like a dog or baby to walk around. Lots of unhealthy people. People of the same sex are rude, staring at you, very uncomfortable if you are not gay.
You have to be willing to get dirty to have fun here there a bunch of outdoor things to participate in. Most parts of the state have no cops so it fun to blow crap up and have a hell of a lot of fun.
Like half the state there is absolutly nothing to do, but on the other half there's so much stuff to do especially in winter like, Skiing, Snowboarding, hiking, the incline, cheyenne mountain zoo, the cave dwellings, cave of the winds, and other stuff that I probably forgot.
I guess I could munch on potatoes...
Sorry people of Idaho, I find it outrageous you are this low but it's just who your below
They should call it New California 2 with all the Californians moving here
Dude, Montana is not boring, it's beautiful. And the downtown scene in Missoula is extremely lively, not to mention in there are both winter, and summer activities. Winters usually consist of skiing or snowboarding and summers are for rafting and camping and other fun activities. But sure, call it boring.
Never live here
It's more peaceful than some states, but there is nothing to do outside of Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland...
How is it boring? Cedar Point is located here. There, debunked your comments!
Where the sun hardly shines and the weather is neurotic.
Absolutely nothing to do especially with winter being depressing
I live in Kentucky and I love it. It is so beautiful. There is so much to do here and the people who live here are so sweet and I don't know how this state got so close to the top because it is amazing! I would really recommend visiting here.
If you like looking at gas stations and old people with farmers tans on their riding mowers I suggest you move to this wonderful state!
Louisville is not like any other major city, it is FUN! KFC is good!
Come on, Vermont's not boring. I've been there and it's fun to ski down the mountains.
It can't be that boring if the people there do whacky stuff with syrup.
Vt blows. To me it's the worst state In the usa. And super liberal and expensive, Cold and rains all the time
Not fun at all
Not really that boring if you're into nice scenery and beautiful forests. There's lots of history and culture in Birmingham and Mobile as well. Definitely not as exciting as California or New York, but as far as southern states go there are a lot worse.
If you like racism and rednecking to where no one judges you, Alabama's the place to live. I've lived there for 18 years, and all I saw were rednecks, and beers. Beautiful scenery, though. I would go out, and play around with my friensds in feils, and woods for miles away from my home, in the mid-70's.
If you like bars and walking through generic wooded paths, and also love a little dirt brown, jellyfish infested waters across the ENTIRE shoreline, with freezing cold water year round to boot, come to this hell hole...
The only thing that happens here is a snowstorm in February.

Actually we have good jobs so that's why we're a good state!
Alaska is actually pretty awesome if you don't mind the cold. I would rate it the most fun state actually.
You can spot magical Auroras from here, it's not a boring US state at all. You guys are great fools!
Alaska is the best state
Shouldn't be on here
Pennsylvania is very boring outside of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Hersheypark.
Worst place ever! Or is it my town? I don't know just really boring.
I live at the edge of Edmond, where I live is a fun place.
Nothing to do here
There is literally no history here other than Ruger and no actual activities to do other than back woods yee yee boi truck driving.
Wrong! The most boring state is Massachusetts!
Mediocre in every aspect
Boring. Nothing to do
The best state you could ever visit there are so many things to do such as the secret amusement parks and water parks. There is also a Disneyland around summers county west Virginia. I highly recommend going to McDowell county it is safe
Literally nothing to do. Unless you like mudding
Nothing to do
You can learn lots of history here, but then it's just golf and military bases.
There are many great attractions and activities to do in Georgia!
