The Top Ten
1 Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu is known for its beautiful temples, rich cultural heritage, and delicious cuisine. The state is home to several UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Great Living Chola Temples and the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram. The state's capital, Chennai, is a bustling city that is home to a thriving film industry and beautiful beaches.

Tamil Nadu is not a state, I would say it's a country because it has everything: all kinds of resources like education, space, sea, river, mountains, different climates, and the best people.

India has predominantly been ruled by casteism, where the priestly class ruled over the other classes and subjected them to criminally bad living conditions. Tamil Nadu is one of the first states to preach against this and has been successful. The majority of politics in Tamil Nadu is atheism-based since religion is the base of the caste system. Progressive politics has led to good education, a good economy, culture, and safety among communities. Other than politics, because people are educated, the society is safe to live in, and there is so much natural scenic beauty. Finally, there is also a lovely state called Kerala at a feet's distance. All of this makes Tamil Nadu the best place to live in India.

It is the state with numerous developments and infrastructures that help the youngsters to proceed with their life gratefully, when compared to all other states in India.

Yeah.! Of course. While all other states are suffering from internal problems, Tamilnadu is rapidly racing in development. In spite of all dependencies like water for farming it still holds good for being in No# 1 position.

2 Kerala Kerala, also known as "God's Own Country," is famous for its backwaters, beaches, and Ayurvedic treatments. The state is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in India, including the Western Ghats and the Munnar tea plantations. Kerala is also famous for its delicious cuisine, which is characterized by the use of coconut, spices, and seafood.

Sure, it's Kerala. The main thing is literacy. Kerala is well ahead of Tamil Nadu, which is still suffering from water and electricity scarcity - basic needs for human life nowadays. Also, Maharashtra is peaceful and lacks anti-terrorist activities. Industries are popping up, and North Indian laborers are coming to Kerala instead of going to the Gulf. These are facts, not myths. Although like every place in nature, Kerala is not perfect in every sense, it does have some weaknesses. But it is still better than others. Last but not the least, it is beautiful.

It's God's Own Country, and there's no other state in the world as beautiful as Kerala. Kerala police officers are even better than those at Scotland Yard, but they can't demonstrate their capabilities because of the government they serve under. One significant point to note is that Kerala is the most educated state in India. Despite having a small population of only 3.5 crores, it is the best.

The main reason why Kerala stands apart is its high literacy rate, for both males and females, in India. People in Kerala live life as a cooperative society, where factors like religion, gender, or social status have failed to create tensions. The public has a significant say in political issues, and education is of supreme importance to all families, as it's considered the key to successful living.

Kerala has the highest Human Development Index, and the health sector is one of the best in India. People live happy and peaceful lives, irrespective of their income. Kerala is a role model state for the rest of India. It truly is God's Own Country.

Kerala is a well-developed state. The government focuses on the overall development of the state and places emphasis on the development of rural areas. Kerala has a high literacy rate and focuses on education. The state has a low infant mortality rate. The cost of living is moderate, and it provides high-quality services. The government ensures that education is accessible to every child, regardless of their background.

Kerala is known as God's Own Country, mainly because of its climate and greenery. The climate is moderate, with high humidity and little variation. It is an ideal place to live peacefully.

Maharashtra is by far the most progressive state. People from other states migrate heavily to Maharashtra due to the opportunities available here, including Gujaratis. This is the case even though Gujarat has also recently become a developed state. The fact that fewer local Marathi people migrate to other states is a sign that Maharashtra is the most developed state in India.

Technology and art go hand in hand in this beautiful state. The literacy rate is higher compared to most other states. Women feel safer here compared to most other places. This is the birthplace of one of the greatest rulers in the world, who is an ideal for many people. People belonging to the state of Maharashtra are not self-centered. Instead, they try as much as possible to contribute to the development of the nation.

Anyway, we should stop fighting between states and work as a team.

I have traveled to different states in India. I hail from Karnataka but stayed for 3 years in another state. There is nothing comparable to the people of Karnataka. We hardly see people getting into heated discussions or brawls, which happens in most of the North Indian states, including Maharashtra. There is no place in India that can be compared to Karnataka. The people are so friendly, you will feel that you're in the US. I love Karnataka and am going back to Karnataka. Unlike Maharashtra, people of Karnataka are very peaceful and loving.

I like to visit Karnataka for many reasons. One of the prominent ones is that Karnataka is the home of Madhwacharya, the great researcher and philosopher India has given to the world. His findings have proven to be very accurate and complete, serving as a source of reference for many historical facts and tenets. This has been incredibly helpful in our research. Two of his works, and works by two of his followers, are also among the top five in the field of philosophy in India. I appreciate the simplicity of the people in Karnataka, even with such a rich culture and advanced technology.

Definitely, I can say it's Karnataka. I see people from all over India coming to Bangalore to work, and many of them settle down here. The people of Karnataka quickly learn languages other than Kannada. The state has always opened its arms to people from different states, making them feel comfortable by learning their languages. Additionally, it's an IT hub with the best nature, climate, and resources in every aspect. There are no doubts. It's one and only Karnataka.

The state's capital, Ahmedabad, is a bustling city that is home to several historic landmarks, including the Sabarmati Ashram, which was once home to Mahatma Gandhi.

Economically, culturally, socially, and politically, Gujarat is the most advanced. It promises whatever the seeker wishes for. Industrially, it's a master destination, and its people have proven their mettle. Perhaps what makes Gujarat stand out is its value system. When comparing Gujarat with Maharashtra, the above words stand true in this comparison as well. It has the longest coastline, the only and largest salt desert in the world, and is the only home of the Asiatic lion. It is also the home to the Aryans, the motherland of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel, and the birthplace of the White Revolution in India. In the true sense, Gujarat is gold.

First of all it gives a role model of development to all other states of India. Life in Gujarat is colorful, meaningful and joyful. People of Gujarat are well-known for their Hospitality, The way they live their lives and Mostly emotionally well beings. Life is like a Celebration here, because the grand celebration of festivals. Never Miss the Navaratri, Utrayan (Kite Flying Day) festivals of Gujarat.

Love It.

The roads are excellent compared to those in the state. Highways are made according to international standards. There is 24/7 electricity and water. Transportation facilities are excellent. The food is amazing. Besides that, the area has a very rich history. People mostly consume alcohol in their homes, which improves the social life from that perspective. Girls are damn hot.

Gujarat is the most prosperous state in India. It's also called the growth engine of India. If you consider it as a separate nation, it has everything. It is almost like the United Kingdom in land area and population. It has good governance, industrialization, great minds, and the longest sea coastline of 1,600 km. The state features industrialization in all sectors and good infrastructure like malls, highways, and big cities.

7 Jharkhand Jharkhand is a state that is known for its rich natural resources and beautiful landscapes. The state is home to several wildlife sanctuaries and national parks, including the Betla National Park and the Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary. The state's capital, Ranchi, is a beautiful city that is known for its natural beauty and vibrant culture.

Ever been to Jharkhand for school education? I was born in Jharkhand, but my parents are from Maharashtra. I completed my education up to the 2nd standard there, then moved to Varanasi, where I studied for the next five years. Afterwards, I moved to Maharashtra to complete my 10th standard. I then moved back to Jharkhand to prepare for my 11th and 12th grades as well as for medical entrance exams.

Among the three states where I have studied, I can frankly say that Jharkhand has the best education. Maharashtra, based on my experience, has the worst education among the three. Even though I attended the school ranked second in Maharashtra at that time, the education level was very poor. In that school, students learned English alphabets until the 2nd standard, something I had already learned in U.K.G. in Jharkhand, despite it not being one of the top schools there. While Maharashtra has many good colleges, its primary education level is poor.

Though unexplored by most of the population of India, Jharkhand is the best state for education and a peaceful life. It has grown industrially and is capable of striving independently.

Jharkhand needs to be industrialized for better development. There should be many good-quality engineering, medical, and other degree colleges opened. This would help keep Jharkhand's money and its residents within the state, while also creating many employment opportunities.

I am an IIT student at IIT Kharagpur. As my father works as a Senior Section Engineer in Indian Railways and lived in Bokaro Steel City, we also lived there. My house is in West Bengal. I think that Jharkhand should be ranked number one in educational states.

8 West Bengal West Bengal is a state that is known for its rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. The state is home to several historic landmarks, including the Victoria Memorial and the Howrah Bridge. The state's capital, Kolkata, is a bustling city that is known for its beautiful architecture, delicious cuisine, and vibrant nightlife.

Historically, India has gained world dominance primarily from its eastern part, referring to the Maurya and Gupta Empires based in Magadh and Patliputra. This region is a major source of India's food, rich human resources, and modern culture. In the coming decades, economic activity in India will focus on Eastern India, as this region needs development. Bihar and Bengal will share the responsibility of elevating India to a world power. Currently, Kolkata serves as Eastern India's main hub for various activities. In the coming decades, Eastern India, especially Bengal based on Kolkata, will become India's power hub, thanks to the region's finest people. Bengal deserves this due to the Bengali people's willingness to think about and sacrifice for India.

The most versatile Chief Minister is not everybody's cup of tea but is gradually and surely driving the state to prosperity, which it deserves. Artistry and culture are proverbial here. People understand each other. An urbanized cosmopolitanism and selflessness are the unique features. Women are still referred to as didi, and men as dada. The weather and food are excellent. The state is again opening up for business, whatever your business is. Its infrastructure is one of the best in India. Stay there, and enjoy the weather, peace, friendship, and food. If you are creative, you will not find a reason to leave the place.

Bengal has produced by far the most number of award-winning or famous literates, artists, musicians, and dancers. Basically, excellence in any form of the arts. Education is given far more priority than in a lot of other states. In sports, it excels as well, whether it be in football or cricket. Setting aside the extreme poverty, it's a pretty developed state.

The only state in India where people still live with good thoughts and good principles. As far as development is concerned, let the rest of India have their try. Obviously, it has to be Bengal that will have the last word. Don't take my word for it. Just go back and check history.

9 Uttar Pradesh Uttar Pradesh is a state that is known for its rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks. The state is home to several iconic landmarks, including the Taj Mahal and the Kumbh Mela. The state's capital, Lucknow, is a bustling city that is known for its beautiful architecture, delicious cuisine, and vibrant culture.

If we can remove corruption and put some efforts into controlling our population, then this state could be number one. It is often considered to be one of the most important states with respect to Indian politics, with 80 seats in the Lok Sabha. It is the fourth-largest Indian state by economy. But still, we can contribute a lot to improve the standard of this state. It's gifted with all natural resources, and we should not exploit them. We should stop polluting rivers.

I think Uttar Pradesh is the only state in India that has everything. So there is no need to specify what U.P has. It possesses those things which other states are trying to get. U.P is a state that has given a lot to the country, like the first and maximum number of Prime Ministers. Not only this, every essential and remarkable thing has been given by U.P. Even the name of India (Bharata) is based on the name of Bharat, born in Ayodhya (U.P). The major problem is with its government. If this problem gets resolved, then it will be the first in the country.

With such a huge population, which would be the 5th largest country if it were a free country, I think we are doing great! With such a huge labor force, agricultural land, and diverse culture, Uttar Pradesh (U.P) has provided a significant contribution to the freedom fight and has given the most number of Prime Ministers to the country. No doubt about its large cities in industries like Noida and Kanpur, etc. Kashi is the oldest living city in the world. No doubt, without U.P, India wouldn't be complete.

If some effort is made in favor of the state and corruption is rooted out, only then can U.P prosper. It is already rich in resources, population, and even in culture. It has a heritage of over 1,000-year-old dynasties, and so it must be allowed to replenish its power.

10 Haryana Haryana is a state that is known for its rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks. The state is home to several ancient temples and monuments, including the Kurukshetra War Memorial and the Mata Mansa Devi Mandir. The state's capital, Chandigarh, is a modern city that is known for its beautiful architecture and urban planning.

Haryana is the best in terms of air quality. It has many wealthy people and has produced players who have played all over the globe.

Haryana is the most developed state in India and the most economically developed state in South Asia. It has the largest number of corporates in rural areas and is the largest manufacturer of two-wheelers, cars, and motorcycles. More than half of this state is considered part of Delhi NCR. It is the only state in India where 100% electricity is provided in all rural areas. It is the number one state in health, wealth, sports, education, and hospitality.

Haryana is undoubtedly the number one state in our India. Although small geographically, Haryana has produced many of the best sportspersons for India, bringing fame and pride to us. It is the first state to be 100% electrified. Haryana is simply a place of brave people. Most of the armed officers and soldiers come from our state. In some ways, you could say that Haryana is the backbone of our country.

Proud to be Haryanvi.

Haryana is the only state in India where the largest number of crorepati residents live in rural areas. It is the most economically developed state in South Asia. This state ranks number one in all sectors: sports, where no example is needed for explanation. Education. Health. Per capita income. Hospitality. Agriculture. Roads. And infrastructure development. It is the largest manufacturer of two-wheelers (with the world's largest company, Hero MotoCorp), cars, and tractors. This is the only state where everyone can easily survive.

11 Andhra Pradesh Andhra Pradesh is a state that is known for its rich history and cultural heritage. The state is home to several ancient temples, including the famous Tirupati Balaji Temple. The state's capital, Amaravati, is a planned city that is known for its beautiful architecture and urban planning.

The newly formed state of Andhra Pradesh has the highest potential to grow into the number one state in India and one of the top 10 in the world by 2030. This is likely to happen due to its geographical location, which includes a large coastline, a civilized population, naturally fertile land, and ample water resources. The state is on its way to building a world-class capital city, Amaravathi.

It also has the city of Vishakhapatnam, which has shown notable GDP growth of over 10%. Furthermore, Andhra Pradesh has the highest potential to become India's best tourism destination, with natural beauty in Diviseema, Konaseema, beachside locations, and inner forest resorts. Popular pilgrimage centers like Tirupathi are added attractions. People's broad-minded thinking and visionary leadership are added advantages.

I am from Telangana. It was unfortunate that the state had to be divided, with Telangana now being ruled by KCR and Andhra Pradesh by Chandra Babu Naidu. I would say that Chandra Babu Naidu has the ability to take Andhra Pradesh to a level where it can be compared with European countries in terms of standard of living, development, greenery, government schemes, industries, infrastructure, and many more. On the other hand, Telangana will also see growth but will lag far behind AP. CBN can elevate AP from the struggles he inherited from Congress.

Andhra Pradesh is a very nicely developed state, and I have always wanted Andhra Pradesh to be the number one state in India in terms of economic, technical, political, and social development. The state is also home to the Golden Temple and some famous shrines. Additionally, Andhra Pradesh has a seaport. I believe that Vishakhapatnam should be the capital of the new Andhra Pradesh.

Possibly the worst people I have ever met come from any state. They are so greedy and ready to do anything for money. They have no regard for humanity and constantly fight among themselves over caste. This creates shame for the rest of India when they are in foreign countries. However, a few from Hyderabad are civilized.

12 Rajasthan Rajasthan is a state that is known for its rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks. The state is home to several iconic landmarks, including the Amer Fort, the City Palace in Jaipur, and the Hawa Mahal. The state's capital, Jaipur, is a vibrant city that is known for its beautiful architecture, delicious cuisine, and vibrant culture.

It's a gem of India. There's an abundance of resources, and now the hidden potential of Rajasthan is being recognized. This will lead it to a good and stable phase of development. It's majestic in terms of tourism, handicrafts, solar, and wind energy. Additionally, people here are much more peaceful compared to those in other states, and the crime rate is also minimal. Rajasthan is the largest state and has a comparatively lower population density. Many of the rich in India may have left Rajasthan due to underdevelopment in the past, but today, Rajasthanis and Marwaris are contributing significantly to India's economy. God bless this state.

One of the most beautiful states in India. Rajasthan is the best state in the category of developing renewable energy, tourism and culture.

Rajasthanis are also very tolerant, peaceful, friendly, and they are proud of their cultural heritage, unlike other Indian who spend their time to always speaking English and imitate Westerners.

Racism is an inexistant phenomenon in Rajasthan, unlike the rest of India and particularly Delhi and Punjab.

In Rajasthan, high-quality education is provided to students preparing for competitive exams like IIT-JEE, AIPMT, and many more. Every year, around 200,000 students come to Kota for preparation. Kota, Rajasthan has had an enormous success ratio over the past 15 years. It is considered the education hub of India and is also known as the "Education City of India."

It's the most peaceful state in India. The infrastructure is either better or on par with more advanced states. Although it is predominantly a tourist state, it's fast catching up in manufacturing and agriculture with other states. It may be the cleanest state in India. Tourists are in awe of its plush hotel industry and exotic panorama.

13 Assam Assam is a state that is known for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The state is famous for its tea plantations, wildlife sanctuaries, and the Kaziranga National Park. The state's capital, Guwahati, is a bustling city that is home to several historic landmarks, including the Kamakhya Temple.

Assam has a unique culture, a mixture of many tribes and non-tribes. The climatic condition is awesome. Assam is rich and well-known for tea, orchids, mushrooms, and different herbs used for medicinal purposes.

It is green, and people are good at hospitality. It has the third-highest growth rate across India, not by population. Guwahati is a city that is growing very quickly. In the upcoming days, it will be a major trade point in Southeast Asia. Your day starts with our tea.

Assam is one of the most progressive states in the country. It is known for Assam tea and Assam silk. The first oil well in Asia was drilled here. Assam is also home to Majuli, which is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest river island. The state has its own state anthem, "O, Mur Apunar Dex," composed by Lakshminath Bezbaroa, the pioneer of modern Assamese literature.

The state is famous for the one-horned Indian rhinoceros, which it has conserved from near extinction, along with tigers and various species of Asiatic birds. The economy of Assam is aided by wildlife tourism, centered around Kaziranga National Park and Manas National Park, which are World Heritage Sites. Sal tree forests are also found in the state.

Assam receives more rainfall compared to most parts of India. This rain feeds the Brahmaputra River, whose tributaries and oxbow lakes provide the region with a hydro-geomorphic and aesthetic environment. The state has a ...more

Assam is a beautiful state. It has lots of potential economically as well as from an environmental point of view. It has a vast diversity of flora and fauna. Recently, the Nammami Bhramaputra fest was organized with contributions from both the state and the center, achieving great success. This showcased the potential of the state and how it can be utilized.

14 Bihar Bihar is a state that is known for its rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks. The state is home to several ancient Buddhist temples and monuments, including the Mahabodhi Temple and the Nalanda University. The state's capital, Patna, is a bustling city that is known for its delicious cuisine and vibrant culture.

We hope that Bihar will become number one very soon. The only improvements needed are in the water system for irrigation and in law and order. Otherwise, Bihar has different cultures, world-ranking universities, and the place of Buddha. Our loyal Chief Minister, Mr. Nitish Kumar, has devoted himself to Bihar.

One of the greatest emperors of all time - Ashoka! Aryabhatt - discovery of zero, and without zero, even Albert Einstein would be wiping his own behind! You have to vote for Bihar. The Ashoka Chakra is in the middle of the national flag of India! India's national emblem is because of Ashoka! Bihar is the best state in the world! People just don't know its importance!

Just being the least developed state a few times back, Bihar is now the fastest-developing state in India.

All political parties should focus their attention on the education field and need to further develop infrastructure. All people who belong to Bihar have more to offer.

15 Goa Goa is a state that is known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, and delicious cuisine. The state is famous for its Portuguese heritage and is home to several historic landmarks, including the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Fort Aguada. The state's capital, Panaji, is a beautiful city that is known for its vibrant nightlife and beach parties.

The people in Goa will never judge you for doing what you want. Goans believe each person is born to do different things. The environment is peaceful, and people don't care about your race or caste. Women are not discriminated against. People are truly helpful. There is an easy-going lifestyle, and people here love music - there are a lot of concerts. People are open-minded. Many people from outside Goa settle in Goa and do not want to leave. All the facilities are available just outside your house. You don't have to walk miles to get what you need. There is no ragging or bullying in college, and everyone is considerate.

Goa has the best culture because you have the freedom to be yourself. If anyone gives you a good time, you say he or she was great. In my knowledge, Goa shows everyone a very good time. However, there are many things that need to be improved, such as women's security helplines. We need to educate people and keep records of those dealing with tourists for security purposes because I have seen a lot of people with no ID card records dealing with tourists in a very bad manner.

Goa is a great place to visit, as there are many tourists and you have the freedom to relax on the seashore. If you like beaches, then Goa is most recommended. Goa is amazingly beautiful. However, if you are very fond of scenic places, then you should visit Munnar in Kerala because of its killer views, mountains, and beautiful hotels.

Goa is certainly a fun place, but there are concerns about safety, employment, and development. It largely depends on the tourism and hospitality sector to generate revenue, apart from manufacturing industries. The state can offer plenty more services in other sectors, which the government must take the initiative to improve the quality of life.

16 Himachal Pradesh Himachal Pradesh is a state that is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The state is home to several hill stations, including Shimla and Manali, and is known for its adventure sports, such as trekking and skiing. The state's capital, Shimla, is a beautiful city that is known for its colonial architecture and natural beauty.

Himachal is my birthplace. Women are safer here than in any other states in India. People are very innocent. A glaring example is that the Himachal Pradesh Police are at the number one spot for tackling criminal activities. The reason for this is that there are very few criminal activities. Moreover, there is no road rage problem. People come forward to help the needy or in times of unforeseen events. Though you may be charged more at some tourist places, it's not a problem. Everyone wants to earn something good from foreigners, but rest assured, it won't be over $1 or $2.

Himachal is leading in education. The literacy rate is one of the highest. The wealth is uniformly distributed among people. It has one of the highest per capita incomes and is a corruption-free and green state.

It is the best place to live in. It ranks in the top five for education and cleanliness, and it's one of the least polluted states. This state is filled with natural beauty, without any artificial appearance. People here bear no ill will towards others. Furthermore, it has the best sewage system and is the greenest place you will ever visit in your entire life.

No communal problems, riots, or terrorism. There's no insane urbanization, filth, or dirt. It has one of the best GDPs. Education and facilities are well-provided, plus nature's beauty is at its peak. Not to forget the hydro power it generates.

17 Madhya Pradesh Madhya Pradesh is a state that is known for its rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks. The state is home to several iconic landmarks, including the Khajuraho Temples and the Sanchi Stupa. The state's capital, Bhopal, is a bustling city that is known for its beautiful lakes and rich culture.

Under the able leadership of Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, MP has moved forward with leaps and bounds. It has shown rapid growth in agriculture and improvement in infrastructure - roads, highways. Its tourism has grown more than any other state, and it now has the maximum number of tigers in its wildlife sanctuary. Above all, peaceful and great people. My vote is for MP.

It could be the best state for business, as it is the second-largest state in India and can provide ample space for better investment. Additionally, it has many natural resources and tourist attractions.

Madhya Pradesh is a fast-growing industrial area with highly productive food crops and good climate conditions for living. It also has good infrastructure and many more benefits.

Number one, we are the best, we are the best, we are MPians, we are the best!

19 Uttarakhand Uttarakhand is a state that is known for its scenic beauty and spiritual significance. The state is home to several pilgrimage sites, including the Char Dham Yatra and the Kumbh Mela. The state's capital, Dehradun, is a bustling city that is surrounded by beautiful hills and forests.

Uttarakhand is an exquisite blend of simplicity and divinity. The state boasts beautiful hill stations like Nainital, Ranikhet, and Mussoorie. People in this state honor their culture and are very honest. At the same time, the state has shown significant development in the fields of education and technology. Uttarakhand is well-known for its natural beauty, which includes the snow-clad Himalayas and the meandering Ganga. Not only is it the most appropriate state for tourism, but it is also a wonderful state to live in. It is free of pollution and has a low crime rate. Moreover, the cultural history and academic advancements make it worth calling the top state in India.

Uttarakhand is one of the best states in India. The people of Uttarakhand, especially in the hills, are very simple, highly educated, and possess strong moral values. Perhaps the religious atmosphere in their homes contributes to this. The hill region of Uttarakhand has near-zero crime, near-zero rape cases, and near-zero divorce cases. No matter which part of India you belong to, when you enter the hills of Uttarakhand, you'll find the people welcoming, naive, cultured, and helpful. You can roam around with more freedom here than in any other place in India.

It is a wonderful place with many world heritage sites, national parks, and wildlife sanctuaries. The culture and traditions are awesome. Hardworking people populate Uttarakhand, and more than half of its population serves in the army.

Best state: simple and honest people, scenic beauty at its best, clean air and water, sparsely populated, top educational institutes.

20 Meghalaya Meghalaya is a state that is known for its scenic beauty and unique culture. The state is home to several beautiful landscapes, including the Living Root Bridges and the Mawlynnong Village. The state's capital, Shillong, is a picturesque city that is known for its beautiful hills, delicious cuisine, and vibrant music scene.

The best place to explore caves, it boasts one of the best golf courses in the world. There is no shortage of water, and there are many picnic spots and tourist places.

My girlfriend is from Meghalaya. Just her personality alone makes me feel how lucky the state is to have her.

A peaceful state with a high forest area, which provides fresh air.

Meghalaya, my motherland.

21 Sikkim Sikkim is a state that is known for its natural beauty and unique culture. The state is home to several beautiful landscapes, including the Kanchenjunga mountain range and the Yumthang Valley. The state's capital, Gangtok, is a picturesque city that is known for its Buddhist monasteries and delicious cuisine.

Sikkim should deserve first place. I have seen such a peaceful and clean state as Sikkim.

Sikkim should deserve first place. I have never seen such a peaceful and clean state as Sikkim.

Heaven on earth. It's the cleanest state in India. People are so down-to-earth here. Let's keep Sikkim sacred.

Clean, green, beautiful people, peaceful, self-sufficient, organic.

22 Odisha Odisha is a state that is known for its rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. The state is home to several ancient temples, including the famous Jagannath Temple in Puri. The state's capital, Bhubaneswar, is a modern city that is known for its beautiful architecture and vibrant culture.

Odisha likely has the richest literature in the country. Its literary history is adorned with countless poems (which are epics in themselves), novels, essays, and short stories, among other literary works. Its scenic beauty is the dream of any litterateur. Most importantly, its people are as affable as can be. They are never hostile towards people from other states or languages and welcome them with open arms.

Odisha is rich in mineral resources. Bhubaneswar has been chosen to be in the first phase of the Smart City mission. The state generates a surplus of electricity, exporting to cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. Odisha is also rich in culture. You can find World Heritage sites within the state. Tourism in Odisha is on the rise, and the people are warm and welcoming.

Still a developing state, Bhubaneswar has been emerging as a beautiful metro city and an effective smart city for the past half-decade. The state is setting milestones in good governance and maintaining a steady pace in development.

A state with lots of potential for industrialization, it is rich in minerals and has an honest yet dedicated trained human resource. The irony, however, is that it is often neglected by the major part of the nation.

23 Manipur Manipur is a state that is known for its rich culture and natural beauty. The state is home to several beautiful landscapes, including the Loktak Lake and the Shirui Lily. The state's capital, Imphal, is a vibrant city that is known for its beautiful parks and vibrant markets.

Manipur should be in the top 4, and the following points tell us why:

1. India has few internal airports to date, and Manipur is one of the few.
2. Not many 5-star hotels are known to exist in India. Again, Manipur boasts in this category by owning a grand 5-star hotel.
3. Considering the flora and fauna of a region, Manipur not only has 'one-of-its-kind' species but also a wide range of fresh water lakes and valleys. Examples include the Sangai deer and the Siroi lily.

All the above facts run parallel with the term the Jewel of India, as coined by the British.

Manipur can be called the edge of India. Here in Manipur, there is a good, transparent business environment.

Manipur is the best state, I think, because this place is very disciplined and it is very historical.

24 Chhattisgarh Chhattisgarh is a state that is known for its tribal culture and rich mineral resources. The state is home to several ancient temples and forts, including the famous Bastar Palace. The state's capital, Raipur, is a growing city that is known for its beautiful parks and vibrant markets.

If the state's businessmen and entrepreneurs seek markets beyond Indian territory, they would definitely be on the first page. The state has a geographical advantage, being on the safer side of the country, with no reported floods, major earthquakes, droughts, etc. Instead, it has always had an abundance of electricity, water, natural resources, and agriculture. The government's focus should be on creating Special Industrial/Economic Zones, Export houses, and promoting subsidies for sustainable manufacturing units, with a greater emphasis on the agricultural sector. Concurrently, they should develop skilled manpower to promote internal job creation and prevent brain drain to metro cities and other popular states. I think the launch and plans of AIIMS, IIM, IIT, and IIIT institutes in the state are major attempts to address the latter issue, but concrete steps need to be taken regarding the former, which constitutes the majority of the population in the state.

Chhattisgarh provides the country with its rich mineral resources and also generates revenue by exporting these. It has established iron and steel industries and supplies coal to industries throughout the country. Thanks to the availability of coal and hydroelectricity, Chhattisgarh produces surplus electricity and provides it to other states. Business is well-developed and the state is on its way to becoming one of the most developed states soon.

The people of Chhattisgarh have seen great development in the past 4-5 years. Although the state is not in the top 10 list, visitors will not be disappointed for sure. It is developing at a much higher rate and will continue to do so.

Chhattisgarh is India's best popular state. Chhattisgarh is a beautiful and agricultural state in India. It is also one of India's most important states.

25 Nagaland Nagaland is a state that is known for its rich tribal culture and beautiful landscapes. The state is home to several historic sites, including the Kohima War Cemetery and the Kachari Ruins. The state's capital, Kohima, is a picturesque city that is surrounded by beautiful hills and forests.

Nagaland should definitely be in the top 10. It is a very peaceful state and the safest place for women in India. It is one of the most literate and hygienic states in the country. Nagaland is a hilly state with beautiful rainforests. The hottest chili can be found in Nagaland, known as the Naga King chili. It is a land of festivals, which attract thousands of tourists every year. Football and music are at their best. People are really very talented and have set the world record for the highest number of guitarists. It is considered the fashion hub of India. Be it young or old, the trend of fashion is high.

I have visited almost all the states of India, but I have not seen a state like Nagaland. The people are very generous and hospitable. Apart from that, the places are incredibly beautiful. I would love to see Nagaland make it to the top 10.

I visited Nagaland back in 2012, and from the moment I stepped off the bus, I felt like I had been living there my whole life. You just can't find that homely, friendly, and secure feeling anywhere else like in Nagaland. Nagaland is a secret, shy, reclusive paradise in India. It's still a virgin, untouched by the evil of the modern world. I just can't tell you how beautiful and amazing Nagaland is; you have to experience it yourself. A lot of people don't even know the state exists, and those who do know have all the wrong ideas about the people and place, but that's why it makes it much better... It definitely deserves to be in the top ten, but I don't mind it being the underdog because the people of Nagaland and I know how wonderful the place is. Everything about it is very modest, sweet, and beautiful.

Nagaland is a state in India where people can do anything, eat anything, and worship freely. It is the safest place for girls in India.
