Took some time to figure out the world he was living in wasn't the one he thought it was. Became a strong member of the crew. Had it not been wrong place wrong time (governor) would still be a contributing character. Dale without the bull.

Still to this day, even after the 4 seasons he’s been dead, he’s still my favourite character! He was the grandfather of the group, and the closest thing to a doctor at the time. He was such an important person for the whole series, and his heroic, gruesome, devasting death will always be remembered.
He reminds me of my grandfather, so in a way it hit close to home when he died. Ironically, my grandfather died a month after Hershel did.

In a Zombie apocalypse situation, or any apocalypse situation for that matter. You cannot just immediately help others and bring in random people into your living spaces. Shane was the type of person you would need to get things done. Loyal, stoic. What he did for his people, others will never come close. Someone with determination and will power will survive. Unless you get shot by your best friend who you put your life on the line for several times and his child.
In a world filled with distrust, looting, killing, savagery. You need people to protect you. A leader. Shane was both a Leader, and a savage for his own people. RIP Shane Walsh.

Dale had this energy about his character that I really enjoyed, really tried to keep the group together no matter what.

Dale was the most level headed I felt. When he died, the group lost a huge asset and an intelligent person. Plus, that Daleface though.

As of the season 6 finale, His death is the only one I've cried on.

I find it funny that this list is for the show and yet Lee still lives on (you know what I mean). Lee is definitely the best character out of the ENTIRE Walking Dead franchise. He holds the record for the saddest video game death certainly. I have never met my father, but if I was to have a dad, I'd want him to be a guy like Lee

This guy fought through a hoard of walkers with one arm and a knife. He also protected Clementine until he died. Heck, he taught a little girl how to use a pistol.
