Top Ten Most Dangerous Countries in Central America

This list shows the most dangerous, most crime-filled countries in Central America.
The Top Ten
1 Honduras Honduras is a country in Central America that became an independent nation on September 15, 1821. Unfortunately, this country has been plagued with extreme poverty and violence. These conditions have forced its citizens to flee, making it unwelcoming and disliked by many.

Have you actually been to Honduras though? Despite what online reports say and many shares (mainly from people who have ‘heard its dangerous but actually never been’), I’m living proof to say it was actually one of the safest feeling and most pleasant countries I visited in Central America. I preferred it and felt more safe there than Costa Rica, which everyone still thinks is still safe and nice for some reason! Yes some parts are but it’s very expensive and pretty over rated compared to neighbouring countries.

2 El Salvador El Salvador, officially known as the Republic of El Salvador, holds the distinction of being the smallest and the most densely populated country in Central America.

The country is renowned for its numerous volcanoes, delectable cuisine, and charming small towns and villages... read more

This has the second highest homicide rate in the world, it's not as dangerous as Honduras, but still very dangerous, I've heard than San Salvador, the capital city is really dangerous.

VERY DANGEROUS! In southern San Salvador they kidnap boys age 12+ please when you go there try to protect your children

It was literally named the deadliest place on Earth and over 4,000 people dies last year.

3 Guatemala Guatemala, officially the Republic of Guatemala, is a country in Central America bordered by Mexico to the north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, Belize to the northeast, the Caribbean to the east, Honduras to the east and El Salvador to the southeast.

BEWARE! THIS IS THE MOST AUTHORITARIAN COUNTRY IN SOUTH AMERICA! Do not go if you don't like totalitarianism.

This place is beautiful and gorgeous, I think it is fine

4 Belize Belize is a country on the eastern coast of Central America. It is the only country in Central America whose official language is English, though Belizean Creole and Spanish are also commonly spoken.

Most of the crime in Belize is concentrated in a small section of Belize City. The very small population gives the impression Belize experiences many homicides, but such statistics misrepresent the overall experience. There are truly beautiful locations in the country that are well worth visiting, and offer a truly virgin experience of an unmolested land.

Very dangerous, do not visit cities like Belize City, go to the tourist towns instead.

5 Nicaragua Nicaragua, officially the Republic of Nicaragua, is the largest country in the Central American isthmus.

It's one ofd the safer countries is South America, but it's still more dangerous than most European countries!

This country Is located in Central America not South.

Its dangerous loop

6 Panama Panama, officially the Republic of Panama, is a transcontinental country in Central America and South America, bordered by Costa Rica to the west, Colombia to the southeast, the Caribbean Sea to the north, and the Pacific Ocean to the south. Its capital and largest city is Panama City, whose metropolitan area is home to nearly half the country's 4 million people.

Panama is literally similar to other Central American countries. No Central American and Latin American country is safe because they all possess the highest crime rates, numerous drug addicts, violent gang members, and widespread poverty. Anyone can easily get killed a split second they step foot on a Central American country. An obvious proof that Panama is an impoverished destitute country is that it couldn't even complete the Pan-American Highway because of some stupid "feared" jungle called the Darien Gap that needs to be destroyed soon.

This is actully kinda safe, it's just at the border to Colombia it''s kinda dangerous.

7 Costa Rica Costa Rica, officially the Republic of Costa Rica, is a country in Central America, bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Caribbean Sea to the east, and Ecuador to the south of Cocos Island.

Costa Rica sucks. Why do people even like this dump you call a country? The citizens smell like garbage and they attack any tourists and even locals to steal their items. Even the government doesn't care for their people because they also steal. There's nothing good about Central American countries. They're just dystopian countries filled with many heartless killers and poor people.

I have a friends from Costa Rica, and to be honest, this country is safe! With beautiful jungles too, this is a safe country to visit! Sure, avoid San Jose and be careful, but count on that it's the safest in Central America!
