A small but powerful nation, Israel is a democracy and has highly educated population boasting great advancements in weapons, medicine and technology. - 4894938
Well, it is a developed country so that explains why its first. I am a Pakistani, but I don't bear any negativity towards Israel honestly. Its more that I have a bone to pick against its government (I also have the same against the Pakistani government), but that's about it. - CrimsonShark
The only democracy in the middle east, the safest country to visit and live. - gracecrook
Israel, the only country in the middle east, and around the world, made many of technological breakthroughs, in medical, energy usage of daily life, military, education, that applied to one of the smartest race in the world, The Jews.V 5 Comments
I can't help but have this feeling that the UAE is a bit too pompous as a country. I've personally been there numerous times, and tall buildings are commonplace. I can pretty much tell it's a developed country. Its really nice looking that's for sure, but its not my type of country personally. - CrimsonShark
This should be number 1 on the list. I don't get how the hell Israel (which is always in war and is wrecked and is so backward in terms of infrastructure than UAE can even be on this list). Just compare Dubai to Tel Aviv.
The UAE is the best country to live in with great leaders and people. Honestly, I personally believe it should be number 1
Obviously its UAE
World richest country
Safety and Justice defines this country.
Now Israel yes, but Saudi Arabia being more advanced than Iran is just absurd. The country imports even mineral water.
I think they are in the 2nd place right after Israel. The reason is because other Persian Gulf countries are just big importers with beautiful buildings and fancy airlines and nothing more.
There was a time where Iran was one of the most Westernized, secular, progressive, and pro-American country in the region. The rest is history. Let that sink in. - Bolshoy_Brat
Most of countries above just sell enormous amout of oil and waste the money on weapons they don't even know how to use. Iran is a LITTLE better. At least they try.V 1 Comment
It's a developing country that happens to have developed country aspects. But it does have a high potential to be a developed country in the near-future. - CrimsonShark

Egypt is EXTREMELY developed. It pretty much created modern civilization, and is extremely powerful. One of the oldest countries in the world.
While ancient Egypt was one of the earliest-known civilizations, it is hardly the oldest, and certainly did NOT "pretty much create modern civilization." Ancient Greece and Rome were the prototypes for, and greatest influences on, modern
Turkey is spiraling downwards under Erdogan and the Saudi journalist situation doesn't help either. I'm rather concerned with the Turkish people. - Bolshoy_Brat
Turkey is the most devoloped country after Israel.
Seeing qatar in the top list, lol
Pakistan is not even in the Middle East! Its situated directly in South Asia. Yes, it's a Muslim country, but outside of religion, Pakistan is rather different compared to the Middle East in a lot of ways.
Also, it is a developing country with a good amount of resources and in developed areas, it is rather thriving. It should also be noted that Pakistan is (Currently) the only Muslim country to possess Nuclear Power, which is an impressive, but also a dangerous record. - CrimsonShark
