Top 10 NFL Teams Least Likely to Win Super Bowl LXI (2027)

With Super Bowl 60 being over, we move on to the next season already. Technically, every team has a chance to win it all, but these are the teams that are the farthest away from the mountaintop as of now. Take this as my way-too-early draft order prediction.

The Top Ten
  1. New York Jets

The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area. They compete in the National Football League as a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The Jets play their home games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which... read more

The Jets.. what can I say? This season was a disaster, and that's a damning understatement. Aaron Glenn's first year was horrific in just about every aspect. For being a "defensive mind," the defense was incredibly bad. They failed to record a single interception, becoming the first team since 1933 to accomplish that feat. In fact, they only generated four turnovers all season.

The offense wasn't much better. Breece Hall was the lone bright spot. No receiver had more than 400 yards on the season. Justin Fields failed spectacularly. Aaron Glenn dancing on the sidelines was the highlight of the season. This is a team that desperately needs to find their identity again. Until that happens, they won't even sniff the playoffs.

  2. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are a professional American football team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division. Originally founded as the Houston Oilers in 1960, the team relocated to Tennessee in 1997... read more

The Titans should honestly just push the Sim next 10 years button because things look bleak. They showed virtually no signs of improvement anywhere. Cam Ward had a disastrous rookie season. This was really a wasted season with no progress made.

Robert Saleh will have his work cut out for him to turn this team around. Brian Callahan shouldn't have come back for a second year. I'll give Ward the benefit of the doubt this year. Daboll should be a good OC. If he could develop Josh Allen, he has a reputation there. I just don't see a scenario where this team makes the playoffs with a roster of mostly past-their-prime players and acquisitions that blew up in their faces. Developing Cam Ward is your main priority right now.

  3. Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football franchise based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The team began playing in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League and joined the National Football League following the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. In 2020, the Raiders relocated from... read more

The Raiders are in a tough position. They're the clear worst team in the AFC West. They were supposed to show improvement, but Geno Smith was a total liability, throwing the most interceptions in the league, and Pete Carroll was well past his expiration date as a coach. Also, they thought Chip Kelly was a good idea in 2025, mind you.

Klint Kubiak, you have a lot of work to do. At least you'll get Fernando Mendoza, probably. Can't be worse than Geno, right? Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty are both promising. The only problem is they are probably done with Maxx Crosby. Trade him to a real team and get the draft capital. You've effectively cleaned the slate now. Try things again and hopefully this time works out better than the last.

  4. New York Giants

The New York Giants are a professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area. They compete in the National Football League as a member club of the National Football Conference East division. The franchise was founded in 1925 and has won eight NFL championships, including four... read more

The Giants may have been bad, but at least they were the fun kind of bad. Cam Skattebo showed some promise, as well as Jaxon Dart. They'll also get Malik Nabers back next season as well.

Brian Daboll is gone and replaced by John Harbaugh, which is an improvement, but then they brought in Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator, even though the Chiefs' offense has been mediocre at best the past few years. Things should be interesting at the very least, but I don't see them as playoff contenders at this point.

  5. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League as a member team of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division.

The Browns are one of the four NFL teams to have never appeared in a Super Bowl... read more

The Browns are still as pathetic as ever. At the very least, the defense was legit. Myles Garrett broke the single-season sack record. That's about where the positives end.

The Browns are still in quarterback hell. The rest of the offense is inept as well. Also, they pissed off Jim Schwartz after not hiring him as head coach. Things are so dire they might actually go back to Deshaun Watson. I mean, where do you go from here if you're the Browns? Until they fix the offense, they aren't going to be anywhere close to sniffing the playoffs.

  6. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football franchise based in the Phoenix metropolitan area. They are part of the National Football League's NFC West division. Founded in 1898, the Cardinals are the oldest continuously operating professional football franchise in the United States.

The Cardinals are a total dud, stuck in a division with the defending Super Bowl champions, a legitimate contender, and a playoff team, and they have done absolutely nothing. This organization is the definition of poverty. The last time they were truly relevant was when Carson Palmer was still in the league.

Jonathan Gannon lost his job after yet another poor season. Sorry, but Mike LaFleur doesn't move the needle for me. Speaking of not moving the needle, Kyler Murray isn't it. I'm over believing in the idea of him being any good. I feel bad for Trey McBride, the lone bright spot in the organization. If you can't make the playoffs, you aren't close to a Super Bowl.

  7. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints currently compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference South division. The team was established in 1967 and won its first and only Super... read more

The Saints needed this reset. With an aging, injury-prone roster, it's time to move forward. There wasn't a lot of hope this season, and they at least saw some flashes of potential from Tyler Shough. Derek Carr's retirement was shocking at the time, but had he played, it wouldn't have made much difference.

Simply put, the Saints are rebuilding, and that's okay. It's been needed for years. All you can do is go into 2026, start Tyler Shough, and see what happens. Maybe he's the guy, maybe he isn't. I wouldn't expect a huge improvement any time soon, but given the state of the NFC South, crazier things have happened. I wouldn't expect even a sniff of a Super Bowl team until they inject some youth into this roster.

  8. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are a professional American football franchise located in the Miami metropolitan area. The team competes in the National Football League as a member of the American Football Conference East division. The Dolphins were founded in 1965, began play in 1966, and have won two Super Bowls... read more

The Dolphins are sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. Years of underwhelming performances led to Mike McDaniel being shown the door as well as Chris Grier. They now have Jeff Hafley as their new coach. I honestly expect a lot more of the same, at least for now.

Even if Tyreek comes back and returns to form, it won't move the needle all that much. It's time to have the uncomfortable conversation about Tua coming off a career-worst season statistically, throwing the second-most picks in the league. Until that's addressed, they will remain mediocre at best.

  9. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League. The Steelers have won six Super Bowls, tying them with the New England Patriots for the most in NFL history. Their championships were earned in the years... read more

I mean, sure, this team makes it to the playoffs, but they routinely get blown out by real teams in the wild card round. It's been the same story for roughly a decade. Things have become stale, so stale in fact that Mike Tomlin left on his own.

The Steelers' main issue is the aging roster and inconsistencies on both sides of the ball. They ended up hiring Mike McCarthy, whom I'm not too high on. Things have gotten complacent lately. Even if they do make it to the playoffs, they aren't going anywhere. It's a gimme win for whoever they face.

  10. Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are a professional American football team based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Falcons compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference South division. The team was established in 1965 and has appeared in two Super Bowls.

Atlanta has the talent to be good, but they keep getting in their own way. It happened repeatedly last season, and they didn't play up to potential until they were eliminated from playoff contention.

The Falcons, despite firing Raheem Morris, who wasted this team's talent and potential, find themselves in a quarterback predicament. Kirk Cousins was essentially robbing them in broad daylight, and Michael Penix.. who knows if he's the answer? Not sure how I feel about the Kevin Stefanski hire. On paper, this team should make the playoffs in a weak division, but they have blown opportunity after opportunity. Until they prove otherwise, they can't be trusted.

  11. The Contenders
  12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football franchise based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers currently compete in the National Football League as a member team of the National Football Conference South division. The franchise was founded in 1976 and has won two Super Bowl championships... read more

At least Carolina won the NFC South last season. The Buccaneers are bad, and now we are done with this team because of the bad coach, Todd Bowles!

They have the worst coach in the league, Todd Bowles.

  13. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division. They have won four league championships, including Super Bowl titles in 1970... read more
