Top 10 Seattle Seahawks Players Going Into the 2025-26 Season

Seattle is in a weird place. They sort of had a little fire sale this offseason, getting rid of Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett, among others. They're half rebuilding and half still competing.

I think this team can definitely make the playoffs in a relatively weak NFC. The Seahawks don't necessarily strike me as a team that's gotten better. I expect them to finish above .500, but probably somewhere around 10 wins. They will sneak into the playoffs or just barely miss.

The Top Ten

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

I think Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the best overall player for the Seahawks at the moment. He has really emerged and become a true Wide Receiver 1 for the Seahawks. He was solid as a rookie but even better his second year. Honestly, I still think the sky is the limit for JSN.
He led the Seahawks in receiving yards with 1,130 yards and was 12th overall across the league. He also scored 6 touchdowns and earned a Pro Bowl spot for his efforts. I think Seattle is clearly viewing him as wide receiver 1 material, and even last season it showed, as he beat out DK Metcalf statistically across the board. The Seahawks trading Metcalf away confirms it.
I'm excited to see JSN continue to blossom in the future.
Kenneth Walker III

I think Kenneth Walker is one of the most important players on the Seahawks. He is a total game changer. He's a true three-down back who is a powerful, dynamic rusher but also a decent pass catcher too.
Even missing a third of the season last year, he still managed to get 573 yards and 7 touchdowns, and a receiving touchdown as well. I think he's one of the top bounce-back candidates who can do it all and should be a vital piece of the Seahawks' offensive attack once again.
He can produce yards and score, and when it's all said and done, I think he can easily be a top 5 running back in the league in 2025.
Cooper Kupp

I'm curious to see how well Cooper Kupp does in a new environment. At his best, he's one of the most talented wide receivers in the league. His 2021 season alone was something special. He'd show flashes and was clearly the best in the league, leading in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. He was First Team All-Pro and a Pro Bowl selection that year and was named AP Offensive Player of the Year. To cap it all off, he also won the Super Bowl that season and was named Super Bowl MVP.
However, since then, he's been injured and hasn't been the same as he once was. Still a great receiver undoubtedly when healthy. That's the key phrase. Also, he's in his 30s and has seen a reduced role. I imagine he'll be a good wide receiver 2 next to JSN.
Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold is an interesting case to consider. Early on in his career, he was largely considered a bust. He could never live up to expectations and was always underwhelming. He'd show flashes of potential but never anything more than that.
Then 2024 happened. Sam Darnold became good all of a sudden. In a one-year experiment with the Vikings, he went 14-3, threw for 4,319 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. His magical season earned him a Pro Bowl nomination. He was top 5 across the league in both yards and touchdowns.
The question now is whether there's more where that came from or if it was just a one-year wonder. I think the answer lies somewhere in between. I don't expect him to have as strong of a season this year but he should still be decent. He's a lot like the new Geno Smith if you think about it.
Leonard Williams

Leonard Williams is an American football defensive tackle who plays for the Seattle Seahawks. Leonard Williams has been nothing short of a solid defensive lineman. His 2024 season was a bit of a revival year for Williams, who made the second Pro Bowl of his career. He finished with 11 sacks, 64 total tackles, 37 solo tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 28 quarterback hits. He also had an interception.
PFF gave him the 4th highest grade amongst defensive linemen. Williams should be a key contributor for Seattle for a while to come.
Demarcus Lawrence

Demarcus Lawrence has been solid in the NFL. He's a proven playmaker. He's been a productive pass rusher and great run defender. He's made 4 Pro Bowls in his career and Second Team All-Pro once.
His 2024 season was cut to just 4 games due to a foot injury, but for what it's worth, he still had 3 sacks. He played all 17 games in the two seasons prior to that and had 10 sacks combined in those two seasons.
Lawrence is an excellent veteran presence on the defensive line who should have some juice left in the tank.
Julian Love

Julian Love has truly been a leader and cornerstone for the Seahawks' defense. Love has quietly been one of the better safeties in the league as a whole. PFF gave him an 81.2 grade, which puts him in the top 10 amongst all safeties.
He did make a Pro Bowl in 2023 and was honestly snubbed in 2024. He played in all 17 games last year and finished the season with 109 total tackles, 79 solo tackles, and 3 interceptions.
Honestly, a quality player that has been a major factor for Seattle's defense.
Devon Witherspoon

Devon Witherspoon has been great so far. In his two seasons played, he's made the Pro Bowl both seasons. One could argue he's the heart and soul of the Seahawks' defense. He's already emerged as their leader, it seems like.
Granted, his 2024 was largely considered a sophomore slump, but he's still highly regarded as one of the better cornerbacks in the league. He's not what I'd consider elite yet, but could definitely get there. He's a versatile player who can play in the slot or outside.
I'd say it's reasonable to expect he'll bounce back in 2025.
Grey Zabel

Grey Zabel was a top guard prospect in the draft, and the Seahawks desperately need all the help they can get. Their offensive line was one of the absolute worst in the entire league. It's impressive they nearly made the playoffs with how bad the offensive line was.
Zabel is a true stud that can start day one and immediately improve the offensive line. He's got the ability to play multiple positions along the line and fits the scheme well.
Jason Myers

Jason Myers is a decent kicker for the Seahawks and has been around for a while now. Going into his 11th season, he has made 2 Pro Bowls in his career so far. He made 26 field goals on 30 attempts in 2024 for 86% and made 37 out of 40 attempted extra points, or 92.5%.
PFF gives him a 91.2 overall grade, which is 3rd highest among all active kickers. Having a good kicker is important, and Seattle has one of the better kickers in the league. Nobody really talks about kickers though. Always like to shout out the kickers.
