Top 10 Hardest Achievements in Gaming

Achievements have been a part of gaming for a long time, going back to the Xbox 360 era when Microsoft introduced Gamerscore. Since then, they've become a standard feature across platforms, giving players extra challenges beyond just finishing a game. Some achievements are practically handed to you, things like completing the tutorial or reaching a certain level, but others require serious effort.

The hardest achievements in gaming push your skills to the limit. Some demand perfect precision, like completing a game without taking a single hit. Others test your endurance, forcing you to play for hours, sometimes even days, without a break. Some are just ridiculously rare, requiring online matches against developers or relying on events that may never happen again. No matter what makes them difficult, these achievements are reserved for the most dedicated players.

Which achievements truly deserve the title of hardest? Vote for the ones you think belong at the top. If you've managed to unlock any of these, congratulations, you've accomplished something most players never will.
The Top Ten
Yes, I Am the Real Garry! - Garry's Mod This achievement in Garry's Mod is unlocked when a player joins a server with the creator, Garry Newman.

All you have to do for this achievement is to play on the same server as Garry (the creator of Gmod). Immediately, you think that you can just friend him on Steam and join the game when you see him online, but it's not that easy. Garry doesn't accept friend requests, and he hardly plays the game anymore (or at all). All you can do is stalk his profile and hope you catch him playing the game. Aside from that, this achievement is almost impossible.

World Champion - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter This requires being ranked number one on the solo leaderboards in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

For this achievement, you have to be #1 on GRAW's global leaderboard. Basically, you have to be the best player in the whole world. That's thousands upon thousands of hours of gameplay. Not to come off as rude, but you have to have no life whatsoever to achieve this.

Unachievable - The Stanley Parable Originally added as a joke, this achievement in The Stanley Parable was later made obtainable in certain versions of the game.

What makes this achievement so hard is that there are no instructions on how you can obtain it. Many players have obtained it at random or have found out the secret to getting it, but with every patch, it was changed. The developers truly wanted this to be unachievable.

7 Day Survivor - Dead Rising Players must survive for seven in-game days in Dead Rising's Infinity Mode without saving.

This achievement asks you to survive 7 in-game days in infinite mode. That's roughly 14 hours of non-stop gameplay you're looking at. Probably best you reserve a weekend for this one.

LASO Master - Halo: The Master Chief Collection This is awarded in Halo: The Master Chief Collection for completing all campaigns on Legendary difficulty with all Skulls activated.

You must beat Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4 on Legendary mode, with all the difficulty-upping skills on. This achievement will be trial and error and will determine how skilled you truly are.

The Shadows Rushed Me - Max Payne 3 This requires completing Max Payne 3's New York Minute Hardcore mode in a single session without dying.

Similar to War of the Worlds, you need to complete the entire game within a very tight time limit, in one sitting, without ever saving or dying. To make matters worse, you can't even attempt this until you've beaten the game twice. Hardly even worth it since all you get is a silver trophy or 10 gamescore.

I Am Arthur Clarke - War of the Worlds

This game is known for being incredibly hard, but this achievement is even worse. You must beat the game in one sitting WITHOUT DYING ONCE. Have fun suffering.

The Bladder of Steel Award - Rock Band 2 Earned in Rock Band 2 by completing the Endless Setlist 2 without pausing or failing a song.

This achievement requires you to complete Rock Band 2's 'Endless Setlist 2', which contains nearly every song in the game, without ever failing or pausing. Good luck on getting this one.

Mr. Perfect - Mega Man 10 Players must finish Mega Man 10 without taking any damage in a single playthrough.

To get this achievement, you have to beat the entire game without getting hit once! If you've played Mega Man, you'd know that you get hit a lot throughout the game, making it one of the hardest in the series.

My Kung Fu Is Stronger - Mortal Kombat This requires extensive grinding in Mortal Kombat, including playing for 24 hours with each character and achieving 1000 wins.

For this achievement, you are required to win 100 fights, complete 100 fatalities, perform 150 x-rays, and spill 10,000 liters of blood WITH ALL 28 CHARACTERS. This achievement isn't so hard as it is time-consuming, but it's still a pain to earn.
