Top 10 Best Runescape Cities

You've roamed across Gielinor, clicking your way through bustling markets, seedy alleyways, sunlit plazas, and monster-infested sewers. You've been mugged by highwaymen, teleported by accident, and probably died in a very public spot because you forgot to eat your lobster. And through it all, one thing stays true: some cities in RuneScape just feel better than others.

Maybe it's the vibe. Maybe it's the layout. Maybe it's the fact that the bank is actually near the anvil for once. Whatever your reason, you've probably got a favorite place to call home between quests. That one city where you respawn, recharge, restock, or just admire the skyline while dodging lag.

Now's your chance to show some love. Vote for the cities that make your RuneScape life easier, prettier, or just a little less rage-inducing.

Varrock Varrock is a central city in Misthalin, known for its proximity to the Grand Exchange and multiple quest hubs. It contains key locations such as the Varrock Palace, the museum, and multiple skill-training areas. The city is divided into eastern and western districts, each hosting different shops and NPCs.

It's been the hub since the start. People used to stand by the bank before the Grand Exchange and sell their items.

Always a great place, even before the Grand Exchange was around. The place to be was in the center of Varrock!

Of course this place is! This is where the Grand Exchange is and the best place to cut yew logs! Also, if you are a member, you can make noobs wish they were you!

Lumbridge Lumbridge is the starting area for new players in RuneScape and lies south of Varrock along the River Lum. It features Lumbridge Castle, where players complete early quests and tutorials. The surrounding area includes goblin-infested fields and training areas for low-level skills.

Oh, Lumby - the home of every player from the beginning. Lumby is such a lovely place, and it helps you get started.

Prifddinas Prifddinas is the elven capital located in Tirannwn, accessible after completing the Plague's End quest. The city is divided into eight clan districts, each focused on a specific skill and representing one of the eight elven clans. It contains high-level skilling areas, unique shops, and portals to various training locations.

This is obviously the best city in RuneScape. It is only accessible after the completion of the longest questline in RS. It has its own Grand Exchange, not to mention teleports to every major boss (Max Cape required). The arguably fastest agility course is here, and much, much more!

Falador Falador is a major city in Asgarnia, home to the White Knights and the Mining Guild. It features a large park, several quest-related buildings, and serves as a hub for free-to-play players. The city is bordered by the Taverley and Dwarven Mine regions.

Falador is the capital of Asgarnia and a typically crowded city. It plays a key role in RuneScape's ore trade because it houses both the Mining Guild and a large mine underground.

Bank your items! Haha, home of the massacre!

Ardougne Ardougne is a city in Kandarin divided into east and west sections, separated by a river. It hosts multiple quests, thieving-related content, and the Ardougne Zoo. The city includes the Ardougne Marketplace and a variety of guilds and training areas.

Full of quests, penguin hide-and-seek, close to the Fishing Guild, a market, the zoo is really cool, and there are nice monsters to fight, and so on.

Only farmers and thieves are around here, with occasional questers.

Biggest city. Awesome.

Al Kharid Al Kharid is a desert city in the Kharidian Desert, connected to Lumbridge by a gate that charges a toll for passage. It is known for the Al Kharid Palace, crafting-related content, and access to the Shantay Pass. I'll always have memories of wanting to mine on the outskirts and getting bodied by those scorpions.

The rework was crazy. RS3 delivered a beautiful city.

Edgeville Edgeville is located north of the River Lum and west of the Wilderness ditch. It is commonly used as a hub for PvP activities due to its proximity to the Wilderness and contains the Edgeville Monastery. The city includes facilities such as a furnace, bank, and Slayer Master.

Awesome. Closer to the Grand Exchange than Varrock (for members). Right beside the Wilderness, with a close bank, woodcutting, furnace, and so much more.

Being right next to the Grand Exchange, a furnace, a bank, and a close PvP area makes this city the best in all of RuneScape!

Wilderness punks, bankers, or people who crawl under the Grand Exchange wall.

Catherby Catherby is a coastal town in Kandarin known for its fishing spots and farming patches. It is frequently used by players to train Fishing, Cooking, and Farming due to its close access to related resources. The town lies east of Camelot and can be reached via teleportation.

Catherby has it all - obviously, fishing is the main economic scene here, but there's also a farming patch and a pretty good arrow store. The architecture is great, the town is really peaceful, the music suits it very well, and there are great links to Kandarin and Asgarnia. How can you not love Catherby?

I think that Catherby should be first. It is a good fishing town. Varrock should stay high at second, and nice Falador at third.

I love this city. Catherby made me fall in love with fishing, farming, and fletching. Summoning, cooking, woodcutting, firemaking, and herblore too. The soundtrack is amazing, the water, everything. Yanille and Ardougne are great too. Kandarin is history. Kandarin is love!

This is an amazing city that is too often overlooked. I go there every day because of Bert, but it is also the center of many quests and has the Magic Guild. Not to mention, it is fun to have the penguin trapped in the walls of Yanille.

Draynor Draynor is a small village located west of Lumbridge and south of Falador. It features willow trees for woodcutting, a bank, and is near several low-level quests and training locations. The area is associated with the mysterious Draynor Manor to the north.
