The Top Ten
1 One - Metallica

Sure, Through the Fire and Flames is known in Guitar Hero for its incredibly intense and fast guitar solos, but nothing beats the complexity of a song from Metallica.

Unlike Through the Fire and Flames, which is all about incredibly fast tapping, this song starts with a slow intro but gets heavier as the song progresses. The solo is quite challenging since the tapping section completely kills me in Expert mode. (Yeah, okay, I'm not that good, so shut up if you're going to make fun of me or criticize me).

Right now, I'm playing a real electric guitar. In reality, the song is quite advanced but just needs some practice and experience to get the whole thing down. I'm currently stuck at the part after the section where I got stuck in Expert mode in this song.

Awesome song by Metallica. Every time I play GH: Metallica, I always play this song, and it never gets old. It's so good. It's even in Guitar Hero 3.

2 Through the Fire and Flames - DragonForce

I love how this song and Beast and the Harlot are both on the best and worst list. I personally think that this song is much better than the latter mentioned and definitely deserves to be on this list.

Best Guitar Hero song ever. It's long, has great lyrics, and an amazing rhythm to it. I'm addicted to the song.

Incredible tune. It's not only easy to like but also very fun to play.

3 Cult of Personality - Living Colour

Aw man! This was so frustrating because I couldn't coordinate the main riff with the hammer-ons, even though it seemed so easy. Once you get it, you've got it! Very fun to play!

I do believe that this song is totally one of my favorites to play. It's so fun, and the solo is epic! I can do darn good at it, haha.

The solo. It is godly and extremely fun to play! Every time I turn on Guitar Hero 3, I have to play this at least once!

4 Jordan - Buckethead
5 Beast and the Harlot - Avenged Sevenfold

Amazing song. Guitar Hero should have one last game dedicated to Avenged Sevenfold. Like this if you agree with me.

As cool as DragonForce may sound, they speed up their recordings and actually suck live. So, I'm going with Beast and the Harlot.

Not only the most entertaining song to play on Guitar Hero, but also one of the "best" songs featured in the series.

6 Bulls On Parade - Rage Against the Machine

Come on, Bulls on Parade has to be at least in the top 5! With Tom's awesome guitar riffs and Zack's awesome lyrics, this song is the BEST!

7 Raining Blood - Slayer

Not only is it unanimously the most fun song in GH3, but it may just be the most fun in Guitar Hero history. Yes, Through the Fire and Flames is seven minutes of extreme hammer-ons and pull-offs, but Raining Blood is pure insanity. There aren't as many tricks to learning the song as there are with Through the Fire and Flames or the solo of One, for example.

Speaking of which, One is also a legendary song by a legendary band, but truth be told, it's boring to play until you hit the bridge. Anyway, if you think you're good at Guitar Hero, but you haven't played Raining Blood for some reason, I insist that you play it immediately. I promise you'll be glad you did!

8 The Devil Went Down to Georgia - The Charlie Daniels Band

Very fun solos, fastest strumming sections in the entire game, challenging, virtually no breaks, and it is brutal a majority of the way through, a true monster to beat and an even bigger one to FC.

9 Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
10 Hot for Teacher - Van Halen

The drums on this song are absolutely the most fun part of the game when you start getting good at it.

The Contenders
11 Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N' Roses

I'm looking at this list based solely on the fun factor, and this song is amazingly fun to play once you get the rhythm down.

Number 11 should be number 2! One by Metallica is the best song ever.

One sucks. It's terrible. Welcome to the Jungle is way better.

12 Six - All that Remains
13 Stricken - Disturbed

Just a well-set-out song. Not overly hard to play but the music is fantastic.

14 When You Were Young - The Killers

One of the greatest songs I've ever heard. It has the most amazing beat, meaning, and everything! It's number 1!

Yeah, the Metallica songs are fast and great.
But this song, it challenges your fingers like crazy, too.
The great riff as well.

Best song by The Killers. It's way better than Mr. Brightside, in my opinion. Top 3 Guitar Hero song.

15 My Name Is Jonas - Weezer
16 Iron Man - Black Sabbath
17 Slow Ride - Foghat
18 Down with the Sickness - Disturbed
19 Hangar 18 - Megadeth

I play this song every time I play Guitar Hero, since Guitar Hero 2. I've never gotten annoyed by it. It's that great!

20 B.Y.O.B. - System of a Down
21 Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
22 Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine
23 The Trooper - Iron Maiden
24 Knights of Cydonia - Muse

It's the best alternative-strum song in guitar hero's history.

25 Before I Forget - Slipknot

I like Before I Forget, and playing it on Rock Band 3 is not annoying. It's a very awesome song I've ever heard.
