Top 10 Sunrise on the Reaping Characters

I noticed there was no list for this, so I added it.

So, who's your favorite character from the new book (and soon-to-be movie), Sunrise on the Reaping?

The Top Ten
  1. Ampert Latier

Ampert was definitely my favorite. He was such a sweet kid the entire time and honestly? I almost cried with his death. I was holding back tears. I usually don't cry for any character deaths (the only one I've actually cried for was Walt Stone from the Kane Chronicles) but he almost made me cry.

Ampert was so sweet and innocent. He reminded me of Rue! His death was for sure the saddest in my opinion, not to mention one of the most brutal.

  2. Haymitch Abernathy

It's both enlightening and heartbreaking to see how different teen Haymitch is from our Haymitch from the original trilogy and to get an in-depth look at what made him become what he became. I'm glad he finally got his chance to shine. He is a very compelling character. I also loved seeing the similarities and differences between him and Katniss.

Haymitch did not disappoint. At all. I mean, what can I say?

  3. Lenore Dove Baird

We hardly see her, but I love Lenore Dove. She's such a good character. I wish we saw more of her, but perhaps that was for the best.

  4. Effie Trinket

It was great to see Effie again, even in a minor role. She's so fashionable, and her intentions were always good, despite her falling completely for Capitol propaganda. She always wanted to help Haymitch.

Thank you, Effie, for saving the day! Effie definitely deserves a really high spot on here.

  5. Wyatt Callow

I wish we had seen more of Wyatt. I was sad he died so soon. He was so unique and intelligent in his own way, and also so gentle with Lou Lou.

I felt bad for Wyatt. I was beginning to warm up to him, too!

    I really liked Wyatt.

  6. Maysilee Donner

Maysilee was my favorite! Though at first I was irritated by her snobbiness, I soon grew to appreciate her intelligence, wit, and determination. She didn't take crap from anyone, and I really admire her for that. She deserved better.

She was amazing. The second-best ally ever (the best is Ampert).

  7. Beetee Latier

Seeing how Beetee was forced to watch his son die as punishment for his actions added a layer of complexity to his character. He's also just so smart.

Beetee is so smart and honestly? Maybe he deserves to be higher than I put him. He's the true mastermind of the entire book.

  8. Plutarch Heavensbee

Plutarch is such an intriguing character, as he's so morally gray. He always wanted the rebellion but didn't seem to mind the consequences it inflicted on others. I just think he's interesting, and Haymitch, like Katniss, struggles to grasp his true motives.

I have always liked Plutarch. This confirms it.

  9. Lou Lou

Poor Lou Lou is such a tragic character. We don't know anything about who she truly is, just that she was taken, drugged, and forced to play the role of someone who is dead. It is so sad.

I like Lou Lou. But I mostly feel bad for her. Poor girl.

  10. Louella McCoy

I wish I got to know her more. I know she's a good character, which is why she made it onto my first top ten instead of Wiress like I should have probably done. I just... I never got to grow close to her. I like her, though.
