The most interesting countries that begin with the letter G. Last week I made the list about the E and F countries so we will move on to G now. With that being said, here's the list
The Top Ten

Located on the equator, Gabon is bordered by Equatorial Guinea to the northwest, Cameroon to the north, the Republic of the Congo on the east and south, and the Gulf of Guinea to the west. It has an area of nearly 270,000 square kilometres (100,000 sq mi) and its population is estimated at 2.1 million people. Gabon is such an interesting and fascinating country! I have always been a huge fan of gabonese culture and nature! Gabon is the most forested country on the african mainland and has tons of different ethnicities, with the biggest ethnic group called the Fang, part of the Bantu. The fang people surely are quite an interesting tribe I gotta say! The fang also exist in countries like Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. The fang made such cool maks that were used for pretty much everything and have a unique shape. And due to the fact that it's the most forestest african country on the mainland, thus there is quite a lot of unique animals as well! Capital is Libreville and president is Ali Bongo. A few weeks ago there was also a failed coup d'état that was quite interesting in my opinion. Gabon takes the number #1 spot in my opinion!

2 Guatemala Guatemala, officially the Republic of Guatemala, is a country in Central America bordered by Mexico to the north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, Belize to the northeast, the Caribbean to the east, Honduras to the east and El Salvador to the southeast.

Guatemala, a central american country. This country surely deserves to be on here, because this is where the ancient maya people originated from (along with Belize), an indigenous amerindian tribe. You see I think most amerindian tribes are very fascinating, and this is no exception. Especially the northern part of the country is so loaded with culture and history. Yeah, and it's more complex than that. There isn't just one variant of maya, there are so many and it's complex. The best part is, that the maya's are still alive today, and that's awesome. Just think of how much we know about the fascinating mayas

3 Georgia Georgia is a country in the Caucasus region. Located at the crossroads between Eastern Europe and Western Asia it is bounded to the west by the Black Sea, to the north by Russian Federation, to the south by Turkey and Armenia, and to the southeast by Azerbaijan. The country's capital and a largest city is Tbilisi. Georgia covers a territory of 69,700 square kilometres (26,911 sq mi), and its 2016 population is about 3.72 million. Georgia is a unitary, semi-presidential republic, with the government elected through a representative democracy.

A caucasian country, obviously, located in the caucasus mountains, and is the most northern of the three sovereign states located in the caucasus (the other ones being Azerbajian and Armenia) and is the most "european" of the three as well, although all of them are located in Asia. Georgia, not to be conused with the US state of Georgia, is one unknown gem of the world with loads of history and amazing sights, with loads of mountains. There are autonomous republics located within Georgia as well. These are Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Only a few countries see them as sovereign states, one of them being Nauru, and I, myself find all of these countries interesting. The world's deepest cave, the krubera cave is located in Georgia as well and that's just another reason to why it should be on the list. Georgia, definitely deserves a mention. It's one rocky country as well

4 Germany Germany was formally united in 1871 under the initiative of Bismarck with King Wilhelm of Prussia as emperor. The previous 'Holy Roman Empire', basically a continuation of the empire of Charlemagne/Karl der Grosse was dissolved in 1806.

Some territory was lost after World War 1 and a lot more after World War 2, basically started by Hitler's Nazi dictatorship. Then the Soviets kept their zone - the 'DDR', East Germany, separate with a wall through the middle of Berlin, until 1990 when the country was reunited. ...read more.

Overall this is quite a cool country. There's plains and forests in the north and to the south are the Alps mountains which are beautiful! It's quite a variety in terms of landscape definitely. As a fan of mountains I'd rather live in the south, because it's also close to my favourite country of all time: Switzerland. Not to mention, their history is certainly quite interesting if you ask me. I also really want to know how they got their colourful flag which I really like in my opinion. Let's not forget this country was part of the holy roman empire

I think Greece is more interesting.

5 Greenland Greenland is an island country part of the Kingdom of Denmark. It is located between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. 6 Ghana Ghana, officially called the Republic of Ghana, is a sovereign unitary presidential constitutional democracy, located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in the subregion of West Africa.

The largest man-made land is located in Ghana. This is Lake Vlota, that was fed by the three rivers from Burkino Faso which are called Black, White and Red Volta. This lake is huge! It takes up four percent of the entire country and that's a lot for a man-made lake! Like a lot of western african countries the south is wetter and the north is drier. Ghana is also the second largest cocoa producer behind their western neighbour Ivory Coast (which I talked about on the Ivory Coast episode). Cocoa isn't the only product that they are the second biggest producer of in the world. They're actually the second biggest gold producer in the world too (behind South Africa), because of this Ghana used to be referred to as "the gold coast". Ghana was the first colony in Africa as well that declared independence, Ghana is also usually seen as one of the most democratic african countries. Interesting history does it have as well. Capital is Accra and president is Nana Akufo-Addo

Yes, Greece isn't that high up on my list. It's still a very interesting country! It's one of the oldest countries in Europe and it has such a big and interesting history and mythology! Even though I think Greece is highly overrated obth in terms of tourism and history, it's still interesting. Democracy was founded in Aten and there's may interesting monuments in Greece. The sparta people are also very interesting! Very interesting country.

8 Guyana Guyana officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is a sovereign state on the northern mainland of South America. Guyana is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the north, Brazil to the south and southwest, Suriname to the east, and Venezuela to the west. With 215,000 square kilometers (83,000 square miles). Guyana is one of the smallest countries in South America. The region known as "the Guianas" consists of the large shield landmass north of the Amazon River and east of the Orinoco River known as the "land of many waters". There are nine indigenous tribes residing in Guyana: the Wai Wai, Macushi, Patamona, Lokono, Kalina, Wapishana, Pemon, Akawaio and Warao. Historically dominated by the ...read more.

A country to the west of Suriname, Guyana is the biggest country of the three unknown pearls of South America when it comes to size, although unfortunately the most dangerous and pherhaps least interesting. It's not saying much though as all of South America is gold when it comes to interestment and history! This country actually has a savannah too, to the south-west and that's quite rare for a South American country. One of the more interesting aspects has to be the demographics though, because along with Suriname there is a large population of indians in the country and that's so interesting. It kinda has to do with history and this makes Guyana one of the few countries outside of India and Nepal with a high hinduism population. Quite fascinating

9 Gambia Gambia, established in February 18, 1965, is located in western part of Africa. The capital of Gambia is called Banjul, the other major city are Serekunda, Brikama and Bakau which are the three biggest cities in Gambia. There are at least 10 languages spoken in Gambia by the various ethnic groups. Apart from English which is the official language spoken in schools and public offices there is also Wolof, Serer-Sine, Sarahole, Pulaar, Maninkakan, Mandjaque, Mandingo, Jola-Fonyi and the Aku's Creole (pidgin English). Gambia is known for tourism

The Gambia is the smallest country on the mainland of Africa but holds so much interesting culture and history. The flag is my favourite flag of all in Africa because of how cool and colourful it is. The country is built around the Gambia river which is even present on the flag and is almost completely surrounded by Senegal, with only the western part having a coast to the atlantic. The capital city is Banjul but it's actually only the fourth largest city in the country. The three bigger cities are Serrekunda, Brikama and Bakau. The history of this country is quite interesting, as it's completely surrounded by Senegal, which used to be a french colony whereas Gambia used to be an brittish colony, and the brittish got to colonize the areas surrounding the gambia river. It's quite interesting

10 Grenada Grenada is a Caribbean country that consists of the main island, also named Grenada, and smaller surrounding islands. The capital city is St. George's, which is known for its colorful architecture and deep-water harbor. Grenada is nicknamed the "Island of Spice" due to its significant nutmeg production, which accounts for nearly 40% of the world’s supply. The country gained independence from British colonial rule in 1974.

The spice island of the caribbean. Unlike most of its other caribbean neighbours, a lot of the volcanoes and stuff, are actually still active compared to its neighbours where most of the volcanoes are extinct. Anyways this country is known for being the spice island because of its rich soil and they are the world's second largest producer of nutmeg, just after Indonesia. It's said that just gby walking around in the interior of the country you can smell the spice this country has. It's quite fascinating

The Contenders
11 Guinea-Bissau

The least known country in the whole of Africa. The most interesting aspect awbout Guinea-Bissau would have to be the small archipelago off the coast of the country, the bijagos islands. They are so unique and different from the mainland of the country. A few of these islands are where the people used to bury their kings and queens and all of these islands have their own tourist towns and stuff. Yeah this is interesting
