Greatest Kids Movies of the 1980s

One of my favorites.

My girls have watched it almost every year, at least once a year since it came out.

How was this for kids? There was profanity in it, and kids shouldn't get into profanity.
I understand why it was rated PG.

Although, I must admit, the film offers a lot of things exclusively to a more grown up audience as well. As funny and cartoonish as it is, which is what kids will enjoy, it's also a really great and often atmospheric film noir. In fact, it's often as great as "Gilda" or "The Killers", just with it being set in a world where toons and humans coexist, and this is delivered so believably that you soon accept is as completely normal and natural.
