Top 10 Worst World Leaders

The Top Ten
1 Thaksin Shinawatra (Thailand) Thaksin Shinawatra (born 26 July 1949), is a Thai businessman, politician and visiting professor. He served in the Thai Police from 1973 to 1987, and was the Prime Minister of Thailand from 2001 to 2006.

He is the great corruptor, using his wealth to gain permanent power. Additionally, he is making concerted efforts to control all aspects of power within the democratic system, including the parliament, government, and courts, by modifying the existing constitution to benefit himself and his relatives.

He killed over 2,000 innocent people in the fight against drugs. He betrayed his own country by persuading a neighboring country to invade the northeastern part of Thailand solely for his personal petroleum investment business.

2 Adolf Hitler (Germany) Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 - April 30, 1945) was a German politician of Austrian descent who served as the leader of the Nazi Party since 1921, Chancellor of Germany since 1933, and Führer of Nazi Germany since 1934. As dictator of Nazi Germany, he reversed the Treaty of Versailles, initiated World... read more

Adolf Hitler was a crazy man. He thought only of himself and world domination. Seriously, nothing is more messed up than that. But seriously, George W. Bush? If I had to choose between sane and insane, I'd choose sane hands down. Hitler was EVIL. George Bush should be shoved out of the way to make some room for Hitler. Hitler is beyond worthy of the number one award for the Worst World Leader. Hitler, bow down for your fans as they applaud your nowhere-near-nice personality that will break mirrors.

The fact that this mass murderer is number 2 is just crazy. He caused the biggest thing in history, World War II, and killed people who were different. Why did he hate Jews so much? Why did he cause World War II? We will never know. He must have been really wrong in the head.

3 Joseph Stalin (Soviet Union) Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin was a Georgian dictator, and was the leader of the Soviet Union from the mid-1920s until his death in 1953. Holding the post of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, he was effectively the dictator of the state.

In terms of administration, he was effective at times. However, his rule was utterly immoral. He was responsible for the deaths of 20 million people, many of whom were his own. He sent people to gulags, purged the army, and was intolerant of opposition.

He tried to justify this with communist ideology, but he lived his life with affluence and indulgence. He gave no power to the people, which was the fundamental premise of Marxism. He was very critical of Hitler when it suited him but was happy enough to deal with Hitler to partition Poland and maintain non-aggression with Germany. However, he never expected Hitler to keep the promise and used the bought time to rebuild his army after having purged it of officers. Therefore, it was only because Hitler was already at war with the Allies that liberal democracies worked with Stalin. Perhaps this is why he is never considered first when thinking about the worst leader in history, while Hitler usually is.

4 Kim Jong-un (North Korea) Kim Jong-un (born 8 January 1983) is a North Korean politician who has been Supreme Leader of North Korea since 2011 and the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) since 2012. He is a son of Kim Jong-il, who was North Korea's second supreme leader from 1994 to 2011, and Ko Yong-hui. He is a grandson... read more

I would rather be an orphan than live under his rules. He punishes and kills people for little mistakes or normal things. I wish I could put him through the torture he put his citizens through. He is the reason why I would even rather live in poor African countries.

This selfish, idiotic, fat pig is the supreme leader of North Korea and has made everyone in North Korea suffer for 13 years, punishing them harshly for every little mistake. Everyone makes mistakes, and you can't just murder them. You have to give them another chance, and if they learn from their mistakes, then good! I know he probably did all this because of his father, Kim Jong-il, and his grandfather, Kim Il-sung, but Kim Jong-un is a little too crazy.

His rules include: 1. No listening to any songs unless it is about the great Kim Jong-un, 2. No access to websites like Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram, and 3. No being sarcastic. These rules are about the stupidest I have ever heard, and I feel bad for his daughter (I don't know what her name is), because he is setting an awful example for her!

5 Yingluck Shinawatra (Thailand) Yingluck Shinawatra, nicknamed Pu, is a Thai businesswoman and politician, a member of the Pheu Thai Party who became the 28th Prime Minister of Thailand following the 2011 general election.

She is now one of Thailand most wanted Fugitives... read more

The most foolish Thai, she is the only leader who has visited more than 50 countries around the world within 2 years.

She is inept in both Thai and English languages.

She is a puppet of her brother.

6 Pol Pot (Cambodia) Pol Pot, born Saloth Sar, was a Cambodian revolutionary who led the Khmer Rouge from 1963 until 1997. From 1963 to 1981, he served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Kampuchea.

Hello, my name is Pol Pot. My real name is Saloth Sar, but I changed it to Pol Pot because the Pot in Pol Pot represents my reign: useless and dangerous. I killed millions of my own people because they were autistic, wore glasses, were smart, etc. I wanted to become a communist just like my idol Mao Zedong, but I did very poorly at it. Nobody in Cambodia is allowed to eat. We should learn from our relatives and make food for ourselves. The food we currently have is stored in the warehouses I stole from US President Richard Nixon. I send anyone who doesn't comply to Genocide Areas where they are executed in a slow and painful manner. I am the biggest idiot in the world, and I will turn America into the Stone Age, just like Cambodia. This has been Pol Pot, and I will see you soon.

7 Kim Jong-il (North Korea) Kim Jong-il (born Yuri Irsenovich Kim; 16 February 1941 - 17 December 2011) was a North Korean politician who was the second supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commonly referred to as North Korea from 1994 to 2011. He led North Korea from the 1994 death of his father Kim Il-sung,... read more

His family has controlled everything in North Korea only to please themselves, not the North Korean people. Korea has been divided for many decades. Families have been separated, and if someone dares to escape out of the country, people behind them will be killed. What on Earth can this be called a country?

Please free the people. We are in the 21st century! Humans can walk in space now. All the things that Kim Jong-il and his followers have done cannot be legal at all!

Kim Jong-il has been a real threat to the world, like his son, Kim Jong-un, especially to America because they made a new nuclear weapon. I can't believe his family brainwashed everyone so they think they are the best country in the world and America is the worst!

They were even forced to cry when Kim Jong-il died! People in the capital, Pyongyang, clapped in front of the big screen in the city when the nuclear bomb was finished by his son!

8 Saddam Hussein (Iraq) Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti was the fifth President of Iraq, serving in this capacity from 16 July 1979 until 9 April 2003. A leading member of the revolutionary Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, and later, the Baghdad-based Ba'ath Party and its regional organization Ba'ath Party – Iraq Region—which... read more

This is about worst world leaders, not most evil people. Hitler, although evil and insane, knew how to run a country very well. Saddam did not know how to run a country. Plus, he was insane, evil, and all-around a pretty bad guy.

I mean, come on, his name means "The Destroyer," which his mother named him because his birth took longer than usual and was more painful than usual. This is what his leadership ended up being.

The maniac who invaded Iran and Kuwait and said, "Jews, Persians (Iranians), and flies are useless," deserves to be at the top of this list.

9 Mao Zedong (China) Mao Zedong, also transliterated as Mao Tse-tung and commonly referred to as Chairman Mao, was a Chinese communist revolutionary and founding father of the People's Republic of China, which he governed as Chairman of the Communist Party of China from its establishment in 1949, until his death in 1976... read more

Wow, the new Chinese republic seemed to start well with him, but it quickly went downhill. The Cultural Revolution is the dumbest thing that ever happened. People are killing each other. Anything not from China is considered impure, like pianos and healthy diets. The "Hong Wei Bing" (Red Guard in English) goes around China and wrecks everything. All the culture, manners, and peace disappeared in a flash. This probably explains why some Chinese have terrible manners nowadays, and why people harbor hatred towards China.

10 Hun Sen (Cambodia)

He is good friends with Thaksin. These guys know only how to make money and provide benefits for their family and friends, who return the benefits, by taking advantage of the country.

He's an idiot. Everything he does is not for the country but for his family and followers' wealth only. He tries to take ownership of the country, much like Thaksin does with Thailand. He leaves a large number of people poor and uneducated in rural areas while his family and close relations become richer and wealthier.

The Contenders
11 George W. Bush (United States) George Walker Bush is an American politician and businessman who was born in July 6, 1946. He served as the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009 and 46th Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000. He is the eldest son of Barbara and George H. W.

He lied to America to drag it into a war that killed hundreds of thousands of non-combatants and traded those human lives for money so he and his friends could get richer off of death. That is evil in my opinion. There were zero weapons of mass destruction! When he became President, the US economy was great and had a government surplus. When he finished with us, we had the worst economy since the Great Depression and the highest unemployment, yet he and all his buddies were richer than ever.

Before 9/11, President George "Duped-Ya" Bush never lifted a finger against al-Qaeda, Bin Laden, any of the hijackers, or any terrorists anywhere. There is no record of his administration taking a single aggressive act against OBL and his terrorist organization.

Before 9/11, he did order American military forces facing al-Qaeda to stand down, calling back the submarines that could launch cruise missiles. He proclaimed, "I didn't want a cruise missile flying up a camel's butt."

Before 9/11, he ordered the discontinuation of Predator drone surveillance and hunting of OBL and al-Qaeda, fearing a downed drone would make for bad publicity on CNN.

12 Vladimir Putin (Russia) Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin (born 7 October 1952) is a Russian politician and former intelligence officer who is the president of Russia, a position he has filled since 2012, and previously from 2000 until 2008. He was also the prime minister from 1999 to 2000, and again from 2008 to 2012... read more

Killer, mass murderer, monster. And that's just Ukraine. Most following him say he was like that before. What he always does - brutal, such as to other eastern countries (was it Georgia?) - is evident here. Even the anti-war activists, who, while right, attack Ukraine, Russia's victim, and applaud Russia, even THEY are quieting down as they see the mass civilian deaths and crimes against humanity by Vladimir Putin. I guess sleeping at night isn't a concern for psychopaths and all those who follow him, called Russians and western retards.

13 Somchai Wongsawat (Thailand)

A true puppet of Thaksin, selfish and ignorant of the well-being of the nation.

Nonsense, man, like a cow just walking, following Thaksin, same as Yingluck!

Corrupt and a puppet of Thaksin.

14 Hugo Chavez (Venezuela) Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías was a Venezuelan politician who was President of Venezuela from 1999 until his death in 2013. Chávez was also leader of the Fifth Republic Movement political party from its foundation in 1997 until 2007, when it merged with several other parties to form the United Socialist... read more

He somehow managed to ruin the country with the biggest oil reserves on the planet during the pinnacle of the oil bonanza. Also, he immersed Venezuela in a criminal rampage. Only in the capital, more than 100 people are murdered on the streets per week.

You don't know how bad this man was. Corruption is everywhere. They took our oil export money and the money they stole from us, and then split it between them and his puppet master Fidel Castro. There is not a single aspect he improved in 14 years.

He made two coups before people somehow elected him president. His goon and successor, Nicolás Maduro, is as bad as him, except he's stupider. He was a bus driver! Venezuela is drowning because of this man.

15 Kim Il-sung (North Korea) Kim Il-sung was the supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commonly referred to as North Korea, for 46 years, from its establishment in 1948 until his death in 1994. He held the posts of Prime Minister from 1948 to 1972 and President from 1972 to 1994. He was also the leader of... read more

He should be number 2, along with his son and grandson. North Korea is one of the worst and most dangerous countries to live in. The Kim family has made North Korea a living hell.

Founded the living hell known as North Korea, complete with brainwashing, concentration camps, guilt by association, and worst of all, Juche, which doesn't work. HE IS A MONSTER!

He got his country into a war and created an evil ideology based on Stalinism. Also, he was treated as a god while being an atheist.

16 Vlad Tepes (Wallachia) Vlad III (Known as "Vlad the Impaler" or "Vlad Dracula", born 1431) was a Romanian monarch. He was the ruler of Wallachia a total of three times before his death in 1476/7. He is most famous for his reputation as a dictator and his gruesome torture methods and executions, in which he has served as an... read more

People focus too much on the most recent events. Case in point: Vlad the Impaler. He was way worse than the majority of the other people on this list.

This dude should be in the top 5. He literally impaled his own citizens and cut off women's breasts, forcing the men to eat them. That is just as bad as Hitler and Stalin.

I guess this guy drinks, or rather sucks, blood from people. This is the reason we have the fictional character Dracula that we recognize today.

17 Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe) Robert Gabriel Mugabe (21 February 1924 – 6 September 2019) was a Zimbabwean revolutionary and politician who served as Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987 and then as President from 1987 to 2017. He served as Leader of the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) from 1975 to 1980 and led... read more

He took advantage of his country being in abject poverty and flaunted his wealth while others suffered. He did nothing for his people's good. Good riddance.

Robert Mugabe is a violent dictator who justifies his actions by blaming events that happened hundreds of years ago as an excuse for hyperinflation, poor economic growth, misuse of government funds for lavish purposes, and violent military action against civilians.

Death squads, hyperinflation, racial discrimination, huge corruption - this guy ticks all the boxes for a terrible leader.

18 Bashar al-Assad (Syria) Bashar Hafez al-Assad is the current President of Syria, holding the office since 17 July 2000. He is also commander-in-chief of the Syrian Armed Forces, General Secretary of the ruling Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and Regional Secretary of the party's branch in Syria.

He should be at the top of this list. He displaced one-third of the population and caused almost 200,000 to be killed. He also destroyed and bombarded several cities, to name just a few reasons.

Yeah, why isn't he first on the worst world leaders list? He's killed a lot of people and displaced many citizens of the country he's ruling. He's the scum of the earth.

He quite literally destroyed his own country just to stay in power. He would have been ousted years ago had it not been for Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah bending over backwards to save him.

19 Fidel Castro (Cuba) Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, known as Fidel Castro (August 13, 1926 – November 25, 2016), was a Cuban politician and revolutionary who governed the Republic of Cuba as Prime Minister from 1959 to 1976 and then as President from 1976 to 2008. Politically a Marxist–Leninist and Cuban nationalist, he... read more

He purposely makes it look like he is going to attack the U.S. Then, when the U.S. tries to stop them, they accuse them of invasion (which they did to protect their country) and theft. Cuba was an okay country before him. Now, it's an obsolete, garbage country.

The best cars to date are those that were made in the 50s in the U.S. There are no computers or laptops. People still drive carriages and wagons, and the whole country is nothing but a slum thanks to him.

And now his little brother is ruling this country. Free Cuba, North Korea, or any other countries that are still in these types of governments.

20 Idi Amin (Uganda) Idi Amin Dada was a Ugandan politician and military officer. He was the President of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. Amin was born either in Koboko or Kampala to a Kakwa father and Lugbara mother. In 1946 he joined the King's African Rifles of the British Colonial Army.

This guy is way worse than Hitler. At least Hitler had a reason (a stupid one) to kill the Jews, but this man killed 500,000 of his own people and had no reason. He was the military leader of Uganda, embarrassed the British, and declared himself the CBE (Conqueror of the British Empire). He executed foreign journalists and made it look like an accident. They killed all their good soldiers and then declared war on a much larger country than themselves: Tanzania. Tanzanian troops took over Uganda, and Idi Amin was overthrown. Then he fled to Saudi Arabia and sought asylum there. He died on August 6, 2003, and his country celebrated when they heard he had died.

21 Benito Mussolini (Italy) Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini was an Italian politician, journalist, and leader of the National Fascist Party, ruling the country as Prime Minister from 1922 until he was ousted in 1943. He ruled constitutionally until 1925, when he dropped all pretense of democracy and set up a legal dictatorship... read more

He is sick and did not deserve anything.

22 Xi Jinping (China) Xi Jinping is a Chinese politician currently serving as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission.

I come from an area of the United States with a high Korean-Chinese ethnic population. Every time I stay at a friend's house, I would see his or her parents watching Xi Jinping speaking out in public. Everyone believes him, while all my friend's parents can do is either watch in horror or try to throw something at the TV.

Many ethnic Chinese people flee their own country for a reason. It's because of the state China is in at the moment with Chairman Xi. He's basically turning the country into a North Korea Lite Edition, such as cutting China off from the rest of the world, endlessly persecuting ethnic minorities like the Uyghurs and the Kaifeng Jews, aiming to create a Han Chinese ethnostate, censoring free speech, mass surveillance, etc. If China's going to be the world's superpower, then God help us...

23 Tony Blair (United Kingdom) Anthony Charles Lynton Blair, originally known as Anthony Blair, but later as Tony Blair, is a British Labour Party politician, who served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, from 1997 to 2007. From 1983 to 2007, Blair was the Member of Parliament for Sedgefield, and from 1994 to 2007, Blair... read more

The man that got away with mass murder, along with his mate George W. Bush. The only reason they got away with it was because of the countries they led: the UK and US.

He proceeded to do what even Maggie "Satan's Ex" Thatcher would not even think of doing, such as destroying the NHS by making them Trusts, among other things. The list of crimes against the people of the (Dis)United Kingdom is only just beginning to be exceeded by the present corrupt, moronic imbeciles of today's government.

He's the biggest con artist to run the United Kingdom. He is a man of cheap soundbites: 'education, education, and education', 'tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime'. He failed on both (education was dumbed down and crime got worse with more youth gangs and foreign criminals, i.e., from Labour's Mass Immigration Policy).

24 Nero (Roman Empire) Nero was the last Roman emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. He was adopted by his great-uncle Claudius and became Claudius' heir and successor. Like Claudius, Nero became emperor with the consent of the Praetorian Guard.

I hate this man. He was nothing but a whiny, sociopathic dictator who completely wronged all of the things his brothers tried to "right." Also, who the hell burns people because of their own issues with said people's religion? Oh, wait. Silly me! Nero already did that. Seriously, this guy makes Caligula look like a deacon!

He was just plain bad. He blamed the Christians for the burning of Rome and had them crucified and burned alive. He also had his own mother killed and poisoned his stepbrother. He was almost as evil as his uncle Caligula, who was his role model.

25 Barack Obama (United States) Barack Hussein Obama II (born August 4, 1961) is an American politician who served as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He was the first African-American president of the United States... read more

Talks a good talk, but rarely holds true to his word. Rarely has done anything on his own. Most things that he is attributed with is plagiarized from others. Things he encourages are not inline with the majority of Americans. Is it for the people by the people, or for the people by the government. What President gets involved with intellectual lawsuits? Why do you cut the foundation of our financial structure (oil/gas) when we are struggling? Why we are at it let us change the health care system that no one really wants. Name me something that "stands out" about his presidency that says great leader. If you do then I'll change my mind. Good Luck!
