Top Ten Least Famous Asian Countries

I made a list of the least-known african countries yesterday so now it's time for the least famous asian countries, without further ado, let's start!
The Top Ten
1 Timor-Leste Timor is an island at the southern end of Maritime Southeast Asia, in the north of the Timor Sea. The island is divided between the sovereign states of East Timor on the eastern part and Indonesia on the western part. The Indonesian part, also known as West Timor, constitutes part of the province of East Nusa Tenggara. Within West Timor lies an exclave of East Timor called Oecusse District. The island covers an area of 30,777 square kilometres (11,883 square miles). The name is a variant of timur, Malay for "east"; it is so called because it lies at the eastern end of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Mainland Australia is less than 500 km away, separated by the Timor Sea.

East Timor, a country in the south east of Asia, a very small country! In fact the country in on the east side of the island Timor of Indonesia! So it's no suprise it's forgotten, fun fact, in swedish, this country is more known as Östtimor, and ö is the last letter in the swedish alphabet, so on country lists in swedish this country would be at last

2 Brunei Brunei, officially the Nation of Brunei, the Abode of Peace, is a sovereign state located on the north coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Apart from its coastline with the South China Sea, the country is completely surrounded by the Malaysian state of Sarawak. It is separated into two parts by the Sarawak district of Limbang. Brunei is the only sovereign state completely on the island of Borneo; the remainder of the island's territory is divided between the nations of Malaysia and Indonesia. Brunei's population was 428,963 in 2018, of which about 100,000 live in the capital and largest city Bandar Seri Begawan. The government is an absolute monarchy under the sovereign rule of ...read more.

Brunei and Bhutan are two countries I for some reason "ship", and the lesser known country of those two is definitely Brunei! A super small country that lies at Malaysia with an excellent flag

3 Bahrain

Many people know of Qatar, but less people know about its smaller neighbour Bahrain, I'm comparing those two becuase not only are they neighbour countries, their flags are almost the same except Qatar's flag has brown instead of red and there's more "teeth" than five on that one. Also one of the safer middle eastern countries

4 Yemen Yemen, officially the Republic of Yemen, is a country in Western Asia, on the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula. It borders Saudi Arabia to the north and Oman to the northeast and shares maritime borders with Eritrea, Djibouti, and Somalia. It is the second-largest Arab sovereign state in the peninsula, occupying 555,000 square kilometres (214,000 square miles). The coastline stretches for about 2,000 kilometres (1,200 miles). Yemen's constitutionally stated capital, and largest city, is the city of Sanaa. As of 2021, the population of the country is estimated at 30,491,000.

So we know all those arab countries whose flags are have the red-white-black pattern and a symbol in the middle, howver, weirdly enough, the one "red-white-black" national flag that doesn't have a symbol on it is the least known of them! Yemen is a country to the south of Saudi Arabia and lies close to Somalia, Djibouti and Eritrea, three countries in Africa

5 Kyrgyzstan Kyrgyzstan, officially the Kyrgyz Republic, formerly known as Kirghizia, is a landlocked country located in Central Asia. ...read more.

Oh yes, central asia, probably the most forgotten part of Asia, countries not many people know of! Kazakstan is probably the most known due to being so big and the movie know as Borat, Turkmenistan is somewhat known for its insane leaders, Uzbekistan is known for history, and even Tajikistan is somehow known due to the ridicoulus Emomalii Rahmon, but Kyrgyzstan seemingly has nothing that people know about, that's strange because I know more things about Kyrgyzstan than about Kazakstan.

6 Oman Oman, officially the Sultanate of Oman, is an Arab country in the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula.

Oman is a very forgotten country, the only reason people might know about Oman is because the swedish DJ Avici died young in the capital Muskat. But other than that not many people know about it

7 Kuwait

A very small country in the middle east whose capital is also known Kuwait, the only reason people might know something about it is if they have played Quest For Glory II: Trial By Fire where the guards of one of the cities always say "kuwait a minute" instead of "wait a minute", but even then barely any people have played Sierra Entertainment games

8 Tajikistan Tajikistan, officially the Republic of Tajikistan, is a mountainous, landlocked country in Central Asia with an estimated 8 million people in 2013, and an area of 143,100 km2 (55,300 sq mi) and an estimated population of 9,537,645 people. Its capital and largest city is Dushanbe. It is bordered by Afghanistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the west, Kyrgyzstan to the north and China to the east. The traditional homelands of the Tajik people include present-day Tajikistan as well as parts of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Other than Emomalii Rahmon this country is on par with Kyrgyzstan with being the most forgotten central asian countries!

9 Laos Laos, officially the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR), or commonly referred to its colloquial name of Muang Lao is a landlocked country in the heart of the Indochinese peninsula of Mainland Southeast Asia, bordered by Myanmar (Burma) and China to the northwest, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the south, and Thailand to the west.

A country in south-east asia squeezed in between Thailand and Vietname, very overlooked by its neighbours with a very unique flag

10 Bhutan Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country in South Asia at the eastern end of the Himalayas. It is bordered by China to the north and India to the south. Nepal and Bangladesh are located in proximity to Bhutan but do not share a land border. The country has a population of over 754,000 and a territory of 38,394 square kilometers (14,824 sq mi) which ranks 133rd in terms of land area, and 160th in population. Bhutan is a constitutional monarchy with Vajrayana Buddhism as the state religion.

A country similar to China and Nepa in terms of religion and a very mountainy country as well

The Contenders
