This is ridiculous! I am infuriated! The triangle should be the best shape, obviously. It's scientifically proven to be the strongest two-dimensional shape. Have you ever heard of a success square? NO! The triangle is obviously number one. Thank you.

Pentagon
The shape is beautiful and comes from a very important number. You have five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot. You enter kindergarten at five. Five o'clock is a common time to eat dinner. Many animals have either four or six legs, but what's in the middle and what's the average? Five!
Go stars! They are definitely great. I like them the best, but I didn't know they were official 2D shapes. Yay stars!

Great shape. Could be a kite or like a rhombus, and for that reason, it should definitely be higher than a rhombus, you silly geese. Anyway.

Honeycombs, pencils, basalt columns, Saturn, glucose, Allen wrenches, turtle shells, bathroom tiling, and even crackers! You have to admit, hexagons are the bestagons.
When arranged in a grid, hexagons are the most stable. Stability is nice.
