Top Ten WWE Dream Matches That Never Happened

The Top Ten
Sting vs. The Undertaker

Unarguably, these two wrestlers, as well as their characters, are two sides of the same coin. Undertaker didn't compete in WrestleMania 2000, but if he did, then a match against Sting would've been the perfect fit for that time. Both were still at their peak.

This should be either a Hell in a Cell match or a Three Stages of Hell match. First stage: inferno match. Second stage: first blood match. Third and final stage: buried alive match!

The greatest dream match you could see at WrestleMania 33 or 34. Sting said he needs one more match with The Undertaker. The match-making of 34 years at the showcase of the immortals.

CM Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

I can see it now: the two biggest rebels ever putting on a once-in-an-eternity match at WrestleMania. In the end, Stone Cold takes out a can of beer for himself and a can of diet Pepsi for CM Punk, and they give a toast in the middle of the ring for the awesomeness they had just made.

Putting two ultimate rebels in the same ring. If their confrontation happened, imagine the excitement. It would give a lot of money to WWE if it happened in Chicago or Texas. It would sell one hundred thousand tickets.

The two personalities colliding. I wish this match would have happened a long time ago. Stone Cold is way out of his prime now, so it will never be fair.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Goldberg

Stone Cold would never lose to Goldberg. Rather, he would give him a Stone Cold Stunner and win it easily. Oh, hell yeah.

Could be the best match in history, but it did not happen. Imagine what could happen to the arena.

It is the second-best match I wanted to happen after Stone Cold vs. Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar.

The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels

Rock and HBK are the two best showmen alive. They would make great promos beforehand and bring out the best in each other in the ring. It's too bad that The Rock was becoming a star when HBK retired in 1998. Then when HBK came back in 2002, The Rock left for Hollywood, and when The Rock came back in 2011, HBK retired for good at WM 26. I would still rather pay to see this match than watch Rock and Cena for free.

It's hard to say Undertaker vs Sting, though it would be my pick. It still could happen, but this is definitely a close second. Two of the best wrestlers, with a great history behind each, going at it in the squared circle.

NWO vs. DX

Not only would we have Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash return, but they would also do their impersonations of NWO. What would make the match better is if X-Pac was the special guest referee. If WWE was nice to us, they could have it in Madison Square Garden, the site of the Curtain Call incident. This would be the perfect WrestleMania match.

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H

Three legends fighting together! This would be a dream come true for all WWE fans. Most likely, The Phenom would win.

John Cena vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

That would be a very interesting match! Would the crowd be chanting Cena! or Austin!? I'd really like to see this match happen!

That would be the best match in WWE/WWF history!

I would probably love to see it. They are certainly among the top two wrestlers in WWE business.

Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Benoit

That would've been an amazing match, no doubt. Both are fantastic workers who can put on a great match with anyone (Benoit: A-Train, Kane. Bryan: Big Show, Mark Henry). The story would have also been there, too, as they could build it like they did Bryan and Punk.

Two of the best technical wrestlers of the last 15 years. It would definitely be a 5-star match.

Daniel Bryan vs. Kurt Angle

Two of the best technical wrestlers ever!

I would pay $50 to see this!

Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle

Two of the best technicians in the industry. The only reason I can think of for why these two shouldn't square off is that one of them would have to lose in the end.

The Canadian hero, Bret Hart, made me believe that he was by far the best there is, was, and ever will be. Watching his matches made me wish I was older than 1 when they happened live. Before I saw WrestleMania 12 on my own, I would have thought that nobody could possibly make an hour-long match enjoyable to watch.

The Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle, revolutionized TV wrestling by bringing Olympic wrestling to the ring. He made me realize just how beautiful the art of pro wrestling could be. Without him, I'd be telling everyone, "Wrestling's fake!" like all the other people who don't understand how fascinating the art can be.

This was always a match I wished existed. The buildup alone would have been too much for me, especially if Hart had his pro-Canada/anti-America gimmick from post-WM13 and Angle had his American Hero gimmick, playing up his role in the '96 Olympics. It's hard to say who'd be the face unless I knew which side of the northern border it would take place in. A guaranteed 5-star performance nonetheless.

The Newcomers

? CM Punk vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton
? Mark Henry vs. Vader
The Contenders
Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan

In my opinion, the two biggest pop culture crossover sensations in pro wrestling history. This match would have been a box office explosion! People who never watch pro wrestling would have tuned in to see the Texas Rattlesnake go up against Hulkamania.

It almost happened at WrestleMania X8, but neither Hogan nor Stone Cold was willing to come to an agreement on the match.

This should be in the top 5 if not number 1. Two of the greatest in wrestling, icons of their generations. It should have happened at WM X8, but it just never happened.

Chris Jericho vs. Randy Savage

Am I the only one who's sad that we never got to see this?

Jeff Hardy vs. Seth Rollins

This would be epic, especially in TLC form.

This will be epic if it happens.

The Shield vs. NWO

The argument that NWO is better is dumb. Your argument was that Kevin Nash almost beat The Undertaker, Hogan was the best ever, and Scott Hall beat Shawn Michaels. The truth is Roman Reigns did beat The Undertaker, Seth Rollins has beaten everyone he has faced at one point or another, and Dean Ambrose has beaten just as many people as Roman and Seth. The Shield only ever lost matches when they weren't cooperating or when they were massively outnumbered. The Shield is the most dominant team to ever step foot in a WWE ring.

Mick Foley vs. Dean Ambrose
Goldberg vs. The Undertaker

Goldberg would spear him for good just like Roman Reigns did at WrestleMania 33! Then again, Hell's Gate, Tombstone, Last Ride, and finally a Chokeslam!

The biggest dream match in WWE ever!

Jake Roberts vs. CM Punk
Big Show vs. Andre the Giant

That's a match I would've loved to have seen. It would've been a great match, but I think Andre would've won.

John Morrison vs. Justin Gabriel

Morrison misses Starship Pain, Gabriel steals it, and pins John with his own move!

The Rock vs. Roman Reigns
Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena

This would be the greatest match ever.

These are the best wrestlers, and the WWE Universe wants to see this match.

AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins

This better happen soon if Vince wants to make money. But it's not likely because you know about old man Vince.

Harley Race vs. Triple H
Batista vs. Brock Lesnar

Two of the strongest men in WWE history collide. This would be the match of the decade.
